  • Real Conversations - Steven Crowder - I am pro life Change My Mind. I watched 2 hours of film and shortened it to 8 minutes. The compilation is what I think was the best parts of the full episodes.
    Steven Crowder visits universities and other public places and invites people to try make him change his mind - tells them that he is pro life.
    I would like to advice you to see the whole thing here:

    Life begins at conception, I believe abortion at any point from conception to birth is deeply and morally wrong. So people like to argue that life doesn’t begin at conception and to those people I say wether you consider it a life now or not the simple truth is that in 9 short months it well be. So either way you look at it you are taking a life.

A lot of pro lifers would agree on your case that abortion is necessary, when the mother could die in the process. These people who are victims of rape, incest or could die during pregnancy - they should be given the choice. The whole crux of the discussion is that pro choices usually like to dismiss the fetus as a not real human being, which halts the discussion vfrom progressing.

      My stance on the issue of abortion in cases where the woman’s life is at risk, now this is where it’s not so black-and-white it can be more complicated, I think the goal should always be the save both lives, and if you can you should absolutely do it, if there is no way to save the child, then I would say let it die naturally and then remove it, but I wouldn’t necessarily say decision it is completely immoral to kill it, let’s see there’s two people dangling from a cliff and you can only save one, you’re not necessarily immoral if you choose one of the other. You should always try to save both and if the mother dies the mother dies if the child is the child dies, if it’s going to die anyway it would be pointless to let the mother die because you have both lives that are dead, and there’s absolutely nothing you can do to save the fetus then it would make sense to save the mother, if it’s the other way around in the mother is going to die anyway you should save the fetus if it is going to live. There’s usually multiple ways you can treat this but sometimes it does come down to a life or death situation. I value both lives equally, and I think we should always try to save both, but if it’s only possible to save the mother we save the mother if it’s only possible to save a fetus we save the fetus, I believe the most humane thing to do would be to let the mother die and then get the fetus out or let the fetus die and then remove it.

      I totally understand what you mean. If a baby was at 7 months and someone wanted to abort them, I think that's wrong(unless the child will have serious health issues). But I don't see it as a baby at 4 weeks. If it could live outside of the womb, it's a baby. And what if it will grow up in the worst conditions and the mother knows that? What if she has an abusive husband that she knows will rape and beat that child? And thanks for answering so kindly...most people get extremely rude ☺️🤍

    • @Joshhh.c
      @Joshhh.c 4 года назад +4

      I'll admit I don't have all the facts. I'm a young teen just figuring out my way around the world so pls cut me some slack if I'm wrong.
      Abortion is literally killing a living entity. It is defenceless, even though it can't scream or cry, it is still alive. The first heartbeat to my knowledge is around the 5 week as well as any brain activity. The fetus can feel pain and have nerve response around the 7th week. Even though, it's not instant, life is created from the instant the organism starts to grow. To then kill that living organism seems unjust and immoral.
      The thing that many ppl don't recognize is the toll it can take on the aborter. Severe depression and feeling of loss is quite common. Many commit suicide over the guilt. To not only take a life which then could potentially take yours doesn't seem worth it in my eyes.
      There are many solutions that can alternate from aborting. For instance giving the baby up for adoption.
      In the end tho, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I may agree with this, but many may not. If you are looking into this however, I would suggest looking into studies rather than read comments and blog posts as they are opinionated and biased (like this one). I understand that this change your mine, but I hope it gives you some insight on why I belive in pro-life

    • @tias8621
      @tias8621 4 года назад +3

      Joshua. I see where you are coming from, but that fetus is just as alive at five weeks as any sperm. Does that mean sex in general should be illegal since it's "killing" the sperm.
      Sorry if I sound rude in this, tone is difficult to type, I don't mean to be mean at all.
      I'm also a young teen, my opinions are most likely going to change as I do.

    • @tias8621
      @tias8621 4 года назад +2

      kudo. Thanks for answer.
      So, I see we think extremely different. You say the fetus is alive as soon as the egg is fertilized, I don't believe it is alive, that's why I'm pro choice. I don't see it as "an innocent baby being ripped out of the womb just to be murdered." I see it as cells, yes, I know we are all made of cells, but that fetus is JUST cells.
      I'm going to say a quote, "Is taking a seed from the ground equivalent to cutting down a tree?" Absolutely not, that seed had a very high chance of becoming a tree, and trees are nice. But what if that seed is beside a full grown tree, the seed came from that tree. The tree beside the seed has lived a life, but if that seed should grow, the tree beside it falls. Let's say the tree beside it lives, but the seed that is now a tree, is rotting, it's dying.
      Someone could have taken the seed from the ground instead of letting it grow up in a bad environment. Nobody can change the ground it's growing in, they can tell people, but that may do more harm than good. (This is an abusive relationship I'm referring to)
      And it's not making it easier on the mother, abortion is rough, but so is giving birth to the child and giving it up because the child will grow up in a bad environment.
      One thing that made me a little upset about what you said was "she should close her legs." That statement is wildly saddening. A woman shouldn't not have sex because it's HER that is going to be stuck with the problem if she gets pregnant.
      Thanks again

    Its simple: Life and murder are defined in whatever way is most convenient to women's 'free choice'. If she has a baby, she has constrained all he rpossible futures heavily. This constraint is considered wrong. Therefore abortion must be legal. But to be legal, the fetus must not be a person. Therefore abortion is not the killing of a person. its that simple.

    I'm prochoice only because it is not societies burden to care for a child that the parents themselves won't care for. Why should our tax paying dollars fund a child that the parents never wanted to begin with? Statistically speaking what happens to orphans or children that are neglected? Do they more often than not become productive members of society? I don't believe they do... overwhelmingly speaking... so that is why I leave it to the parent's judgement if they are going to care for the child or not. It is not any concern of mine to dictate if someone can or can't have an abortion. I personally would never want my spouse to have one because I would care for any child, I helped create.... but I wouldn't ask society to care for my child if I chose not to. Especially since we see how well society cares for these children after they are born. Right wingers love feeling high and mighty saving fetus' but don't give a shit after they are born because then it's too late to undo it. LOL If the neglected and orphan children start getting more help from society so they become productive members of society I'll change my mind. How about when our country is no longer the world leader in incarcerations per capita then I'll start listening to prolife speakers. Sometimes you have to fix other problems before other problems will self-correct themselves. :) This problem will self-correct itself when poverty and crime diminishes, and education improves. Is it morally wrong? of course it is.... but everyone on this planet outside of our Savior does morally wrong things. In the Bible it says thou shall not lie, steal, cheat or kill.... I don't remember it saying abortions... but it does say thou shall not kill.... but war is okay to kill? Their are grey areas that even the bible doesn't have answers for so as a society we need to find what the true answers are. To really understand the opposite side of a discussion... ask yourself instead.... why would anyone want to have an abortion? Then you might find some understanding even if you don't agree with it. One more point.... didn't god test Abraham to kill his son but at the last second intervened and told him he was just testing his faith or some nonsense? What if Abraham didn't stop in time? Why did god contradict himself saying thou shall not kill then tell Abraham to kill? Why did god kill all the first born children of Egypt (those children were innocent themselves weren't they?) This is probably blasphemy but god seems to be a good killer for someone so Benevolent...? Mic drop...If god can kill the first born children of Egypt... I believe the parents can decide if they want to have an abortion or not. I commit sins so I can't bestow my beliefs on anyone else via a religious channel.:)

      look it up. Science determined life ends when the heart stops beating and the brain is legally dead. BEing that is the case, it is therefore conistent to conclude that life begins when a heart starts beating and brainwaves are detected. Those things are indeed present within the first 6 weeks of a baby's first trimester, during the period where abortion is considered LEGAL. Therefore based on Science' findings, abortion indeed IS murder.

      alazmat films.. i'm saying:the outcome through decent scientific research is never wrong, what you do with the outcome makes the difference..it partially depends on the cultural standards and values of the country you live in ,...when you scientificly determine that there is a heartbeat, that's one thing..but the question if you can legally call it viable independent life/murder if you choose for an abortion is another one imho..i live in the netherlands and over here abortion isn't considered to be murder..hell it is legal to abort a pregnancy if a woman wishes to do so..over here women are indeed pro life, THEIR OWN LIFE that is..and according to dutch law they have every right to do it...and i fully agree. If your personal opinion is that abortion is equal to murder, and based on that believe you would never choose abortion if you are to be pregnant, that is fine, but my body=my choice, even if it means that a clump of cells with a heartbeat (and what others would call "life") must be removed from inside of me (if i was a pregnant
