Humans have eaten animals, we use animals in experimentation, we wear animals, we send people to war, prisoners are executed, we all agree bin ladden and Hitler deserved to die, we put animals to sleep, even nature performs abortions. We call them miscarriages. The old testament is full of justified killing etc. It is a phrase that sounds nice, but nobody truly believes it. Your 11 year old daughter is walking to school one day, shes abducted and raped by an illegal immigrant. Your 11 daughter loved ballet, playing with her friends, and drawing. Your 11 year old daughter is now pregnant from this horrific atrocity. She no long likes doing the things she did and lays in bed all day, incredibly depressed and distraught. Every day you, your wife, or your husband, and your daughter are reminded of that tragic day every time you look at her growing stomach. Unfortunately for her, you braindead morons are too selfish to save her and your family because you dont want to get rid a coagulation of cells the size of a pencil eraser.
      1. Consciousness is what makes humans what they are, and so special. A fetus gains incredibly basic "consciousness" not until 6 months. 90% of all abortions are performed before then. Consciousness along with experience in the world is what life truly is.
      2. If i showed you a picture of a human fetus at 8 weeks and a pig fetus at 8 weeks, you wouldnt be able to tell a difference. The fact of the matter is that before 10 weeks (where at least 70%+ abortions are performed), it simply is just an incredibly small coagulation of forming unconscious organs.
      3. "Life" is all about experience, your first girlfriend, your first soccer game, your first straight A report card, the goals you work towards, even just being a hermit is still life. A fetus experiences absolutely none of these things and is 100% reliant on the mother and resides inside of a humans stomach.
      4. Just because a fetus has a heartbeat doesnt mean its truly "alive". Biologically, obviously. But you could be decapitated and placed on some sort of advanced machine that keeps your heart beating. Are you truly "alive" at that point? This unconscious "parasite" cannot think for its self, has no idea its alive, has no previous life experiences. "you need to give the baby a chance!" an aborted baby never knew it was alive, what if it turned out to be the next ted bundy?
      5. 90% of all abortions are performed during the first 8 weeks, which is where a rape victim would receive theirs. You're right, it didnt do anything, because once again its a literal coagulation of forming unconscious organs. This time though its formed through evil. Just like I said to the person above, you wouldn't be typing to me what you are if your mother was raped and suffered through bringing a walking memory of her tragedy to full term. Imagine the despair your mother would have every day looking at your half sibling who was created in one of the most heinous acts possible that makes her think about it every time she looks at them. Imagine the pain and suffering your father would face knowing his wife is bringing someone elses child to term created through forced, aggressive and evil impregnation. Heres what i'd say to you, "welp sorry! looks like your moral compass and willingness to interfere with other adults decisions tore your family apart! isnt that unfortunate?"
      6. You can have the opinion that its morally wrong, its most surely not scientifically wrong though. But you aren't allowed to turn your opinions into laws which prevent other adults from doing what they deem necessary. This selfish thinking is a joke that needs to disappear. Imagine you have knowledge your child is going to turn out like The Elephant Man or has some extremely debilitating disorder are you telling me you would put that poor child and yourself through unimaginable hardships your entire life? I pity you, everyone else in this comment section, and every poor child that's born into poverty, with a terrible debilitating disease where they want to kill themselves, or a child born from rape or incest.
      Oh and one more question, dont dodge it either like 100% of everyone else. What would make you more sad, a 10 year old being shot in the head or a 5 week old fetus being sucked out a uterus? (The answer is obvious unless youre a fucking psychopath. and the answer proves why you're wrong about abortion LMAO)

      @@AtTheDitch several issues here
      1) You're starting off by painting an extreme and statistically rare scenario, which suggests you are pro abortion in a general scenario.
      2) Most of your points about what defines life can be countered using fully developed humans.
      Someone with dementia loses their experiences, is it ok to kill them? A coma patient does isn't conscious, is it ok to kill them? What about people with pacemakers? None of those are consistent.
      3) If you watched this and the other Change my mind's on this topic your question has been answered ad nauseum. You're stance isn't unique, though you're elaborate scenario is. If those answers don't satisfy or even phase you, then I don't think you're capable of having a productive discussion on the issue.

If, by her own admission, her child wasn't viable and by her logic viability determines whether it's alive or not, then her child cannot have been considered "alive" and it shouldn't have been any more of a traumatic experience to watch "the fetus" die than it would have been to watch a plant die.

With normal, rational people, if you present facts and statistics that they can't refute, their minds will change but modern "woke" leftists are different. Their worldview is more of a cult than a group of like minded individuals, they gain a social network and friends via virtue signalling but they absolutely have to agree with the ever changing, increasingly radical outlook of the cult otherwise they will be ostracised. Just look at J.K Rowling, she was woke on every issue but the second she dared to stray from the cult ( by saying gender differences are real ) she became instantly and thoroughly hated and loudly shamed by the cult, they didnt calmly accept that she has her own opinions and / or attempt to change her mind, she was instantaneously boycotted and maligned online. I have worked with people who went from championing gay rights to then claiming gender isn't real and there are no biological differences between men and women to calling paedos "maps" ( minor attracted persons ) its fucking terrifying, these people are undoubtedly the most brainwashed collection of people in human history and the cult they belong to is so strong that when you argue against them convincingly and they have no comeback, more than often, they become highly emotional and rage quit, usually whilst calling you a bigot.

Therefore I think that what we have to rely on (at least at this point in time) is what the law says. Another thing thats not really defined biologically, is when we enter adulthood. This is a social and legal construct, but with no biological definition.
      So actually we don’t really need a definition for when human life begins but instead we need laws based on what the majority think is morally wrong. And at the moment the law says that you can have abortions up until a specific number of weeks (which i completely agree with).

      But dying and killing is part of nature. When you cut trees or remove herbs from your garden you’re ending a life. But, sometimes it is necessary in order to build a house or to plant veggies to feed yourself. Killing animals to eat is not only done by humans but by many other animals on earth because sometimes it is necessary to survive. Although a fetus is a life it is not conscious and it doesn’t have a mind, it can’t feel pain at the time they perform abortion. A fetus at the time of abortion is literally similar to a tree. And sometimes it is more evil to give birth to a human when you can’t afford to feed it or you are an addict and giving birth to it will give it deformities and it will lead a horrible life of pain, crime and going from foster home to foster home. Abortion is preventing to create a life before its actually human and conscious.

      @makemecry6604 4 года назад +1

      AND before you tell me that I wouldn’t go and murder someone in the street bc they are poor or handicapped, let me say this. Killing someone for no reasons (meaning not to feed yourself and survive ) is wrong because it is conscious and has a mind, it feels pain and fear and you don’t end a life for no reason when it feels. Some animals kill their own children or eat them. It’s part of nature. When you masturbate you kill and billion of sperms who could have become adults and lead lives. Is that wrong too?

    • @evolveaxsym9422
      @evolveaxsym9422 4 года назад +6

      @@makemecry6604 so abortions that don't kill the mother are wrong based on what you said. No one says the killing of a mother and fetus is better than killing the fetus. Killing a baby without health problems is literally killing something without needing it for food or to survive. If your point was that women who are probably gonna die can have abortions then ok but if not you're contradicting yourself. Also killing your own species and another are two different things which you also contradicted in your second comment explaining you think it is wrong to kill humans.

      Using common sense will help you go a long way... don't let the media dictate what you personally must think. Same with going to college, they'll try to convince you of things that might be total garbage. I always think this way: Is it in-line with my morality? And, does it make simple common sense, or do I have to imagine and develop this entirely weird system to fit what my professor just told me. For example, when it comes to abortions I think: "If I didn't kill that baby growing in that womb, does it have the potential to become a decent living human being in the future?" Yes, of course it does; you do not have to get into a convoluted debate about justifying the mother's choice to terminate it, you ended a life with unlimited and impossible to foresee potential, the end. See? Common sense goes a long way. And of course, you can shape your own ideas again depending on your morality values. I'm one of those highly conservative people who is against the death penalty. ;)

      @@hahagidid How to prepare? It's not that hard. Nobody is required to pinpoint scientific papers, and memorize numbers to argue well. Mainly you just need to use logic. And it's not that random, people are discussing this kind of matter daily nowadays. Also, one should expect that people read, and are better informed, since all of us has easy access to internet and libraries, wherever you go. He is not doing this questions in third world countries like mine.

      Preparing for conversations that might never happen seems a little bit off for me. And while there’s an infinte amount of knowledge around and available there is still a thoughtforming process going on while discussing stuff.

    For the rape situation, my mind recently changed. At first I was like no abortions for instances of rape, but then it changed to, ok fine abortions for instances of rape up until a certain point, but someone said these two things that made me change back to my original view:
    1) Is a person who was born through rape any less of a human than someone who was born through consented sex? If not, then why do we treat babies in the womb like one is less human than another?
    2) No one should have to pay for their fathers crimes. (this next part is my own comparison) Its like if your father shot and killed someone then ran away, and because no one could find him, the family of the victim decided that you (as your fathers kid) should be the one who has to serve the time in prison that your father would have served.

      Yup and I also tie it in with “imagine looking at a wonderful, loving adult just living life and find out he was conceived through rape and looking at him in the eyes and saying you should’ve been aborted your dad was a disgusting rapist and you shouldn’t have deserved to be born” that’s awful to say that. A human is a human, we all deserved the same value and dignity.

      Same here. Though I would make possible the option to terminate pregnancy in a couple of cases. First is rape and second is some form of abnormality detected in a fetus. I think rape is self-explanatory. Abnormality (any kind of deformation found in the fetus) should be decides with a panel of doctors, case by case. Not everyone would be capable of submitting their lives to a child with life debilitating condition. Such a condition can potentialy significally lessen the quality of life of both/single parent and obviously the child.
      In the event of "whoops, we didn't really plan for it to happen" I'do forbid abortion 100%. You willingly spread your legs and you willingly put a penis into a vagina. No matter the cirumstances, if two conscensing adults make a baby, you're having it and that's it.
      Now, another opinion I have on this, which is really controversial I found, and I'd love to see a Change my mind episode about it - woman cannot decide to get an abortion if the father wants a child. No "it's her body" bullshit. This of course goes for the "pro-choice" event, not in the above mentioned pregnancy resulted from rape. If a father wants a child, no abortion. When the child is born, the father gets full custody. Period. Being it your body or whatever, you cannot make a father lose his child because you are not up for being pregnant. I understand pregnancy is hard, women are afraid, but both people are parents and one parent cannot deny that right to other.
