Great video! The Pixel 9 PRO XL is top notch here ! Realistic Pixel colors versus ULTRA 24 so saturated crayon type colors. 8k comparison was really good huge difference quality Pixel video boost when you pan out to fields.
S24 ultra is the most overrated phone out especially the camera it’s not that good colors look too fake too much saturation idk why Samsung can’t fix that
I just found out about your videos review this is my second one i watched from you why do i think you are the best in this, you do your review without being biased or pushing to put either phone you are reviewing down good for you 🤙
Thanks for the good comparison! I like the color science on the photos a little more on the Pixel. But Google definitely needs to work on the portrait mode. The S24 Ultra is more natural in videos, which I like a little better. Your comparisons are definitely a good help before buying or recommending another smartphone. The music selection is also very good. Have a nice day ✌
10:20 Regarding the video boost mode, the video for processing is shot in 4032x2264 resolution. After recording, you get two videos, ready in 1080 resolution
Just to add on to what Victor mentioned, the 1080 p video is the local processed version, the other one is a very high bit rate 4k video that looks like a log footage without stabilization algos which needs to be processed by the cloud. And after the processing, your high bit rate video will be replaced by the processed video.
@lincolntse4330 Yeah, I get the 1080p version locally immediately, then the VB version once done. In the end I end up with a 1080p labeled COVER and the VB full res version labeled MAIN. Don't know why they don't just leave the 4k or 8k version locally instead of 1080p.
It's Pixel for me when it comes to photography. Samsung's hardware is fine but their processing is just whack. When it comes to video both are fine but Samsung having 4K/120 is appealing to me.
Is it possible to return to the old location to record a daytime video? There you could understand more about the difference in dynamic range, colors and the difference in zoom? Thanks for the video
Good comparison but I would probably include more main camera pics taken with bight light sources in the background to see how they both handle it. Pixel usually does much better in these scenarios from other videos I have watch.
A lot of photos were taken into or under harsh afternoon sunlight. The flower shots, at the waterfront, 50mp shots with the church/flowers, etc. It's California, that's all we get. 😉
For video I prefer the s24 Ultra because we can clearly see you went to the beach without sunscreen. For photos it's the pixel that improves your beachy skin
Video on the Pixel needs work, especially in low light. The jitters and soft mushy details combine to give it quality that is a little lacking from a flagship. Low light video on the 24U is smoother and sharper, but when recording the sky at night there is too much noise and bizarre artifacts. Both devices are behind IPhones in this category.
@@TheChameleon2008 look at the selfie comparison. much more information in every well lit shot. the pixel is loses color information as well as texture.
Personally if you have the Pixel 8 Pro, youre good. Google's biggest issues is the tensor chip, or themselves. Videos and pictures look great, although for video id go with Samsung. Why can't pixel do most of the heavy processing, especially for video boost, on device? Why can't we get 1080p blur video on the selfie cam, or 4k30 on both sides? Google could have just put a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in this phone, modded for Pixel, and get all the power they needed. It would solve their issues with camera, battery, everything. The Tensor has gotten better, but the limitations are confusing... Great comparison. If video matters as much as photos, id go with Samsung or if you want a pixel, you could save money on an 8 Pro and wait for the 10 or 11.
What I don't get is when I take pictures with my pixel 9 pro and my S24 pictures from my S24 look brighter and those from the pixel look darker when I view the pictures on them, but when I watch the comparison videos they both look bright and sometimes the pixel even looks brighter. Can someone tell me how that happens? Pixel pictures are always darker on the pixel phone and Samsung phones are always brighter
Best comparisons on RUclips
Thanks! 🙏🏼

I love the color of the pixel cam❤
I'm so glad the best camera comparisons on RUclips are back! Absolutely fantastic video as always!

Thanks so much for the super thanks! Also, good observations and glad you find these videos helpful.
Thanks for your time Grant, and for making this amazing video. I look forward to more videos.👍
Thanks, appreciate the support! 👊🏼
I wanted to like the Pixel more, but I am more impressed with the S24Ultra camera looking at these pictures.
Thank you for the comparison. Greetings from Cáceres. A lovely city in Spain. 😊
Thanks for watching! I'm guessing it's quite nice there.

Appreciate the super thanks, Dan! I need to play with 4k 120fps more. Not too many interesting things to shoot with it here.
@@GrantLikesTech Yeah I get it's a pretty niche feature. It's because I'm a niche person lol
you back finally
Pixel best..👍👍
Your comparison is very detailed.❤
Thank you! 🙂
Great Video as always. I wish both the Pixel, iPhone, and Galaxy would upgrade to larger sensors. I take the Pixel over the Samsung though.
Excellent comparison, great video🔥
Thanks! 👍
Such a great content as always man, thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Both great camera's. I prefer Pixel for the more naturel look. Thx🙏
Thanks for checking it out! 👍🏼

Will try to mix it up for future videos. Appreciate the feedback and for sticking with the channel!
In the future can you show some of the 4k30 video in full screen as well like the Video boost. The cut off makes it hard to tell the differences.

great video

samsung just needs to brighten faces in selfie video more, and not oversaturate greens in nightshots. but samsung still wins in every category imo.
i guess you biased and own a samsung because its not true at all. They make great shots and samsung tents to shoot a bit warmer.
@@TheChameleon2008 look at the selfie comparison. much more information in every well lit shot. the pixel is loses color information as well as texture.
Every category? R u blind?
@@thisin. Could not agree with you more. 👍
Portrait video and portrait shot samsung is better. The rest i preferred pixel.
Both are great
I actually preferred the Ultra in most of these shots
After seeing the photo results of vivo X100 Ultra, these two phones became ordinary.
Pixel 👍
Why not shoot video with a longer focal length?
Im always have in the s24 ultra turn the night sky blue instead of black any suggestions?

@18:58 Shooting star! Also, surprisingly the S24 is still ahead in regular lowlight...
exclent work ❤.i gonna buy s24 soon as possible
Hope you enjoy it!

Can depend lightning and turning on Ultra HDR will make them really bright on HDR displays like your phones.
Pixel is really android's representative
in my opinion samsung looks better
Pixel is clear winner
Pixels portrait mode is one of the worst. Its awful
Pixel for night Samsung for day 👌
Nahhhhh Pixel both day and night unless you like heavy saturated content that’s what Samsung do
You alright man? You don't look good. Take care
I think you don’t look good he look fine you look like a clown 🤡 enjoy the phone review and stop taking of your nonsense 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩
