Actually there are no villages in Kerala.. All these are a kind of socially and culturally civilized places that looks like a village.. Because almost all the facilities are available there..
@@computerscience2589 I am from kuttanad which is not as well developed as say Kottayam district, and we have supermarkets in most villages here. Guess it's the same in most of Central and South Kerala. I don't know situation in North Kerala.
Off course there are village too in kerala, because of high population density, everything is available road, hospital, bank school etc in a village so the standard of living also high because of high literacy and huge expat cash flow
I agree..we’ve much less developed roads compare to other states especially your state Tamil Nadu. I think we don’t have much space plus every corner of Kerala are equally developed but quality of living is incredibly high.

you should not search for a typical gaon in Kerala. Actually there is no village in Kerala, but we can consider the entire state of Kerala as a big city. Whatever features and facilities, you expect from a city, you can see that every where in Kerala, such as specialty hospitals, schools and colleges, roads, telephone and internet, banks, etc,,, So do not search for a typical Indian village in Kerala.
As a reply to some comments just to sum it up: I live in a panchayath in trivandrum,middle class family with 5 members including my grand mother and we have 5 toilets inside my home. My house in my hometown Pathanamthitta which is 48 years old also have 2 toilets inside and one bathroom outside.

There's no difference between villages and cities in Kerala. Living standard is same as both area. May be forest area condition will stay apart.
