@@SomeRandomdUde14You do need speed for sure, and sliding the legs off your torso is no cakewalk neither. Having said that if you got that deep into a submission most escapes would need a bit of urgency and explosiveness.

Ok guys the ingredients for this escape are an indestructible shoulder and 600g of T, blasted daily

I saw Roger Gracie , Garry Tonon, Nick Rod, Craig Jones Jay Rod and Gordon Ryan . doing this in competition match. Counterintuitive. I never made like this. Looks as something very particular from Danahher/ Henzo lineage. I will give it a try.

I say BS. Once he's got your arm extended it's too late to think about making the escape. You have to get your thumb in his pocket BEFORE your arm gets fully extended.

Instructions from a guy who won silver at adcc, and a guy who won trials after only 3 years of bjj training who was a college wrestler

@@oof1204true, but he mostly wrestles. Not saying it in a bad way. Just think it be better for him and the class to teach wrestling that's good for grappling.

Not taking advice from downier who got silver at adcc is stupid.
If he’s a blue or brown belt doesn’t matter.
      -
Khamzat just now got his brown belt.
He would smash black belts in ufc as a white belt.
There’s is more to how good you are than your belt color.
Some people have wrestled or done judo for 10 years before even starting bjj.

So stupid. This is equivalent to a running back not juking someone and just deciding he should go to a knee rather than fight through a tackle. Think like an athlete

It was EBI rules where you literally start in an armbar position
