Movie Summary:
Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, Diana meets an American pilot (Chris Pine) who tells her about the massive conflict that's raging in the outside world. Convinced that she can stop the threat, Diana leaves her home for the first time. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny.

I love Lynda Carter, but Gal Gadot brings a new level of mystery, badassery and intrigue to my favorite Amazon/demigoddess superhero.

I have been a wonder woman fan my whole life. I am older, 50, so I grew up watching the Lynda Carter TV show when it was new. I had the doll and everything. Lynda and Gal are both great. If you know comics, Lynda is the pre crisis Wonder Woman come to life in every way. Complete perfection. Gal is really what Wonder Woman is now in the comics. She's equally as fantastic. Lynda will always have my heart, I have even met her, but Gal really is great as the modern version.

Gal was in the fast and furious franchise for awhile. I believe she also served in her countries military. I totally forgot Lupin was in this as Ares 😂
Yeah, she is also a model and participated in the Miss Universe 2004 representing her birth country Israel.
I remember seeing an interview where she said before getting cast in Fast and Furious she had decided to quit acting and go to law school.

Actually thats not the most powerful she can be. In the comics her bracelets are shackels that hold off her true god powers. I don't know if this is something they would explore in the movies, but that would've been epic. She is my favorite DC character.
WB has cold feet with DC superhero strength. If you look at her when she's fought doomsday, thats how she fight. But wb execs want her to be grounded level so they nerfed her in this movie and justice league.
WB always want to copy mcu although snyder always said DC should be own thing. Sadly now they hired James gunn to do what mcu always do, crwcking jokes every 5 minutes for Kids no losing their focus
Mmnnn i don't think so ? in my comics they were called the "bracelets of submission " to remind them of when they were enslaved by men ! If removed they became un-controllable and without compassion, (WW vs Paula Von Gunta ) if welded or chained together they lost their strength/abilities etc and became totally submissive
If you read more comics you’d know those bracelets hold back her true power

She didn’t have her full strength. You didn’t notice how she slowly got stronger as the movie progressed? She even surprised herself when she accidentally broke a wall.

Wonder woman is always capable of wielding mjolnir but superman was only able to weird it for a short time and didn't apreciate what it could do and instantly dropped it

First time I saw Chris Pine was in The Princess Diaries 2. I fell in love with him in Star Trek
Before Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot was only in a few films. The 4th Fast and Furious film and Fast Five. I don't remember if Fast & Furious 6 was out before Wonder Woman or not.
And she was in Date Night with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey. And Mark Wahlberg. She may have done other stuff, too, but I'm not familiar with them.
I understand that just before she was cast as Wonder Woman, Gal was actually considering leaving Hollywood. Certainly not the case anymore. Lol. -OG
Fast & Furious 6 came out in 2013, four years before Wonder Woman.
Chris Pine, who plays Steve (I think is his name), was in the Princess Diaries 2. That's where I know him from.
Glad you liked it so much, it's a great movie, with Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and, of course, Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Gal was in the Israel military and is 6' tall.

The actress that plays young Dianna also plays young Alicent in House of the Dragon. She’s also in a Michael Buble music video with the actor that plays Jacaerys from House of the Dragon.
The alley scene is an homage to the original superman movie where clark cat he's a bullet while protecting lois

Such a great movie, this is one movie that me, my mom and best friend watched twice in theaters, the second time was the best, because the audience was great!!! Was such a great experience.
Her accent here is SLIGHTLY different than hers irl - it sounds similar I think.
Fun fact about the lasso of truth: In real life, William Moulton Marston who created Wonder Woman, also invented an early lie detector.
And he also into BDSM, the lasso supposed to be used as BDSM rope

The Amazon's have never seen a man they were all created by Zeus and themisira is isolated from the entire world non of the Arizona have ever left the island, in the comics there are several Amazon's that have left and uses the wonder woman moniker but Diana is the most well known
Gal Gadot is in some of the Fas & Furious movies, But I would recommend the movie Date Night (the Unrated version). Her role is small, but I would just recommend it for the movie as a whole. It's funny.

Gal Gadot did a lot of weightlifting and gained 10 pounds of muscle before doing the movie. Prior to that, she enlisted in the Israeli Defense Forces and served as a combat fitness instructor. It's actually quite impressive if you look up videos of her lifting weights. I'd stay on her good side, for sure! :) Interestingly, a lot of the acrobatic moves in the movie were actual motions, not just moving computer images of Gal Gadot moving around, which is why they looked so good. If you want to be more impressed, look up Caitlin Dechelle, who has black belts in Chinese Kenpo, Japanese Goju Ryu, and Taekwondo. I REALLY want to stay on HER good side. When I watch Caitlin, my jaw drops to the floor...incredible woman.
I’m never sure what her mother means when she tells Diana that if she leaves the island she may never return. Does she mean she’s not allowed to return if she leaves or does she mean it’s possible she might not return? It’s probably the first meaning, right?

This is my favorite DC movie, hands down. Then Man of Steel. Then Aquaman (just because of Jason Momoa, lol). I don’t care about any of the Batman movies (sorry!) or the Justice League films, no matter which version. I guess I’m a Marvel girl, through & through. 🤷♀️😄
Before Wonder Woman she was in a few of the Fast and the Furious movies….#’s 4-6 of the franchise I think. when are we getting back to the Underworld movies? lol.

So movies like wonderwoman, TRULY, 10/10 movies, especially when prolly watched in the cinema gets completely looked over by 90% of the fandom. They did the same with She-hulk in the mcu.
This movie is leagues above the sequel and its still considered mediocre 😅
