    Great initiative to go north hope more of that continues. Maybe even one day England will play a match there. Good luck this week!

      The RFU makes the majority of its money from Twickenham, so I doubt they'd ever let the men play anywhere else.

    I know they have to be careful with giving info away, but it would be nice to see them practising some rugby skills from time to time rather than just the gym… especially when on match days other teams appear to have better skill sets… great to see England back in the North though, this should be an annual thing

    As a "sock", I confess to being deeply, deeply conflicted about this weekend’s game between Ingurrland and Ireland…on one hand a pasting from Andy Farrell’s mob would be hilarious and hopefully very wounding for the England team and on the other, having the opportunity to win the championship the week after would be mouth watering (even if Scotland would have a snowball’s chance - as they say it’s better to live in hope!!).

    • @joeboonmusic4004
      @joeboonmusic4004 4 месяца назад +8

      Why would you want any team to be psychologically 'wounded'...? Rugby is about respect. Sure, a bit of friendly rivalry goes a long way but that's a bit much.

      Agree. Back in the day everyone loved Ireland as a team and their fans but they need to be careful now either the arrogance. Clearly they are in the top 2/3 in the world with NZ and SA (France are in a mess currently) but pre WC there was a ridiculous amount of Oirish hyperbole and post WC there was a lot of whinging; personally I was super happy to see them knocked out by NZ. Love AF and the team are superb… but the fans now vying for least gracious with Boke. 😅

      @@joeboonmusic4004 about 45 years of English dominance in the Calcutta Cup will make a man from north of the border irascible…there’s so much below the surface of international sports events between the two nations that it’s a little hard to unpack, but I get you (although I’m basically supporting anyone vs England just because it pleases my inner child!!).
