Unbelievable how good this video was
Proud to say went to haileybury with Jamie George. Remember him at school level mainly playing 8 (sometimes hooker) and genuinely scored 3-4 tries every game. He was a natural leader at school, even at 17/18. Great player and it’s always amazing him watching him on tele all these years later. Good luck buddy!

Jamie George has got a Vizsla?!? I love him even more (I've got one too - amazing dogs). Best of luck this Six Nations, Jamie. I'm sure you'll bring your own unique character to the captaincy and I'm excited about what a refreshed team can achieve. Fingers crossed we park the incredibly dull kicking game Borthwick inflicted on the team last year. This crop of players is capable of so much more.

Even though it's the start of a new cycle, a new captain and he's a rookie, you can't go to Italy scared.
Go with the hot hand. He'll probably have his club 9 inside him and club 12 outside him.
He might be the 10 for the next decade. M. Smith off the bench in the future would be such a good combination, though it's definitely a shame for Marcus that he is injured and can't display his own good form.
Or, hear me out...long term imagine M Smith at fullback and F Smith at 10. That would be an absolute monster of an attacking and smart game managing set up.

gunna be a great captain. I think we are in for a tough 6n because of injuries and retirements etc, but if given time he's going to do really well I believe.
I sense a relational captain will help England perform well. Owen was brilliant leader but demanded such a high-level it may have felt unachievable to some players.
Ant and Dec have moved to executive roles. Cannot stop chuckling.

I’ve been saying the future playing to strengths is Finn as the starter and Marcus as the finisher. Finn has showed he can be pragmatic as well as expansive. Any other nation would not hesitate. My team for Italy would be:
Marler, George, Heyes,
Itoje, Coles
Pearson, Earl, Underhill
Mitchell, F Smith
Dingwall, Freeman
Roebuck, Furbank, Feyi-Waboso
Bench: Obano, Dan, Cole, Chessum, Dombrandt, Spencer, M Smith, Slade

@@Sp-yd4vmQuinn’s as front West London but these saints players are in form and how often do we have a 9,10,12,13 combo playing for the same domestic team. We always long for how Ireland have a core unit of Leinster players. Now by chance we have that opportunity for cohesion

After all the negativity and off field issues, clubs going under and disgraceful social media treatment of players, they can really gel as a team under Jamie and get the fans united behind the team. As a Sarries fan, and a Jamie George fan, I think he is a great guy and wonderful team man, and a great deputy Captain…..but….he’s not THE leader or a Captain in my humble opinion…
Didn’t think Owen should have been previous Captain either….should always be a forward with full on aggression in playing but complete diplomacy and charm when engaging the ref…. Shame Courtney retired…no one jumps out in the current squad….??
I think, as they said, it's a leadership team. What Jamie George will bring which is key as captain is his relational ability with the ref. Its such a huge part of the game now and he's always been very respectful and I think it could help. Plus his more laid back approach will help England in its current tranition. Notice he did also say that Borthwick asked him to be captain for the 6 nations. So someone else might step up this tournament to be permanent captain
All this chat and talk about positivity, it’s about performing on the edge of being super human like South Africa or NZ. Do the talking on the pitch, smash Italy, then Wales and Ireland.
