Another great episode - I like how each episode brings out the personality or back story of each player and shows a new facet of them - we might or might not win the world cup - but this sort of thing gets the fans invested in the team. 15:05 this is the 'man in the glass' that I think Henry was referring to (or at least a poem about the concept of being true to yourself and ultimately able to 'look yourself in the eye') The Man In The Glass Peter Dale Wimbrow Sr. When you get what you want in your struggle for self And the world makes you king for a day Just go to the mirror and look at yourself And see what that man has to say. @@jamesfranklin4939also has the speed to make up the space at the back - Steward is lethal ball in air when in position, but move him about like the French do so with ease with most teams makes it a bit of a liability but most solid FB we have had for a while.
He is a proper Ferrari of a player. Wrap him in cotton wool, because he is absolutely superb when fit. Starting him at 15 would be a real statement of intent but Borthwick is in love with Steward and will play a dull kick-chase-driven game, so he's an absolute shoe in sadly.
@olliepeacey5294 Shielded them from being thrown in too soon. He was trying to keep them working hard and developing instead of strutting around thinking they're the finished article at 20 like Cipriani, Henson et al.
Say what you like about Eddie Jones, but he was brilliant at introducing young players into the England environment and then giving them measured exposure to international rugby. As Arundell says, his introduction to England was well managed.
Arundell was smiling whilst squatting the city of Verona. Always wondered how this boy moved so powerfully through tackles and the incredible speed. Makes sense now.
Whew, what a massive difference to what the island boys have got to get ready for these world cups. Makes you appreciate just how genetically gifted the likes of the Fijians are that they can even live with these guys on the same field, when the English lads get this level of training facilities, mental well-being leisure breaks and have about five hundred different coaches for every aspect of their training. Interesting too that a thousand times the budget only translates into an extra 5% on the field.
I wonder if Arundell will be eligible for the six nations? Technically he had to go to France because all the other clubs had reached their salary caps?
Luv these!! I’m getting more excited and hopeful each episode👍, my only negatives are scrum half’s and SB will play Malins ( who for me is one of the weakest wingers) before our better wingers.
Not for me, especially when murley had him in his pocket when they played each other. We have 5/6 way better wingers than him for me, I know it’s subjective, but I reckon other teams are to not to concerned seeing malins on the team sheet.
What is that lower back stretch Arundell is doing? As someone who suffers from a tight lower back, I'll try anything to get it loose before I exercise. Is there any variation of it i can do at home?
I think it's going to be the most competitive world cup so far as i don't believe there is much difference between the top half a dozen nations if they are all at their best.
@@TheCosmerenaut1 What do you mean, England have a great draw for RWC. They have a much easier route to Semi's/Final and when you are in those sorts of games it's like 50/50 anyway
Do love these videos every competition but it would be nice to have some variety sometimes. Some players speak or are in the foreground every video-have barely seen a glimpse of Blamire or Pearson
Come one boys! I just hope Borthwick doesn't knacker the players out too much before the games like what seemed to happen before the France match. Fitness training is important but so is rest.
I'd be very very surprised if we did this one, that being said we do have an ok run into a Semi. Argentina might do us in the group but we should have the rest of the group and then we face Wales, Australia (who aren't looking good right now) or Fiji in the quarters, not saying a definite but definitely doable. And who knows over 2 knockout games. We'll see but can't see us beating, Ireland, NZ, SA or France right now.

Always has done when fit. A genuine world class back 3 player!
Love Freddie Steward but I’d start Watson at fullback more of an attacking threat.

Arundel squatting 220kg for 4 reps - that is insane strength for his weight and height
Well done Arundell for calling out the media. They crush our young talent with the weight of expectation.
Boulter and Radacanu for instance.
That's one thing Eddie did very well - he was very good at keeping the bright young stars humble and shielded them to a large extent.
To Eddie’s demise… fans and media crushed him for not starting young talents like Smith and Arundell

Aled Walters is a bit of a genius, I'd expect us to be one of the fittest teams at the world cup based on what he did with the Boks and Tigers.
I hope you're right, but does he have enough time though?
