In this video, I play Hoth: Escape (from TheSWBF3's Space to Ground Mappack for Battlefront 2) from the Imperial perspective. As usual, the Empire has several walkers and wants to destroy the shield generator. Rebel transports are also targets for destruction. As an Imperial pilot, you can fly in space more freely, without the risk of being destroyed by autoturrets. There have been times, though, when I've been told I'm "leaving the battle" in areas that seem like they ought to be within the boundaries.

The great thing about battlefront 2 is that it really managed to catch the feeling, hearth and spirit of Star wars. Oh, and it's pretty fun to play too.
I know... like being an Imperial, and launching a massive assault on Yavin 4's temple... It gave you that sort of...feel. Like you were there.

This map from a game of 2005 haves more content than Star Wars battlefront 3.

Only way to judge a game that hasn't been released yet is to say what it does and doesn't have before you play it. I mean no body knows what game content being dead will have, but I'm more than certain you don't want to find out the easy way.

Mods are for GTA too. Mods are for 99% of PC games. Why 99%? The new Battlefront won't have mod support for example.

I like how the game's music is incredibly dynamic, it knows when you enter a vehicle and you're heading towards heaps of enemies, and when you're alone, far away from NPC's on a scouting mission or similar. I think it's one of the leading factors of why this game was so incredible.
Battlefront II sure is good. I missed one thing though. In Battlefront I, if you like, you where able to control the vehicle from the cockpit. You had the instruments and gages all infront of of you and you'd look out a window. I like things like that. It adds to the imersion. I was kind of disappointed they deleted that in Battlefront II.
I saw that they were trying to make battlefront 3 like this with space battles and ground battles happening simultaneously in one match but I didnt realise that mods were made like this, thats pretty cool. Wish they had made a battlefront 3 though.

for next recalls that giant turret is also an objective to destroy, remember that as happened in episode 5 if they shoot it against the imperial cruise off by a certain time, and the next q use the ships, allowed to cool the guns, but you will not have much time to trip

No, it's not Battlefront 3. It's a custom map for Battlefront 2. It has fighters and space because the modder made it that way. Also, you can play Battlefront 1 and 2 in first-person. Check the options menu next time you play.

0:16 I once was playing the map of Hoth as rebel. I jumped into a fighter with the intention to wrap one of the AT-ATs up with my incredibly strong string when a wookie jumped into the cockpit. We started flying and then i askeds myself "since when do wookies know how to fly?"... We crashed into a mountain not a seconds after that... obviously that's a wookie in that fighter there...
Awesome! This mod incarnation of Hoth feels a lot more like It does in Empire, compared to the Hoth maps depicted in the Battlefront series originals. The skybox is much better and feels like the movie, and the fact that there are more AT-AT's is boss!
You know u can press "v" to go in 3rd person then "v" to go back to first person..right?
I never actually had the Xbox version, but, judging from some blurry screenshots and videos, it looks pretty much the same. Even if the snow texture is for some reason different on the PC version, which seems unlikely, the fact that it's full HD more than makes up for it.

To all RUclipsrs this is obviously Battlefront 3. I don't know how this person got this. Clearly Battlefront 1 and 2 is a 3rd person game. And this video is in 1st person. Also you cannot fly a fighter to outer space for a space battle. You can only fly a snow speeder to take down an AT-AT.

I tried playing the stock Hoth map to see if it looks any different from this one, and it does indeed have better textures. It looks like the maker of this map used just one or two of the snow textures for the entire surface of Hoth. I'd still rather play the custom map, though. I'm not the type to complain about the graphics of a game that came out nearly eight years ago.

In this map it should be that for every transport that escape the empire's points go down.
Man, add in some cloud effect from when you're going from space to the ground, add more hills and noticeable landmarks with designated ares that you have to land, a capture-able CP inside some kind of star ship (Renegade Squadron style), and maybe more units in the game at one time. Those my friends, are all the things BF3 needs and all (most likely) the thing DICE will not give us.
i was just happy you could play the game full of bots, i wish bf3 had bots so that you can fully load a match if there is not enough players or others drop out
This is a custom map so it isnt as polished as a pandemic map, and his graphics settings are unknown, they may not be full. All i know is that they did not nerf the graphics when they ported it to the PC, no game would ever do that because you can adjust graphics settings on PC; so if you are trying to say console have better graphics than Pc, your wrong.

They were going to make BatFront3 but the developing team dissolved and the game they had created so far died with the team. Sad because they WERE implementing HUGE space to ground battles, which would have been amazing.

Forget the PS2. The PC version has better graphics, can be played in full HD and above, and has countless custom maps and mods. You can get it on Steam.
Thats why is called Chicken walker and if you type CHICKEN on the computer game Rogue Squadron you will get to play an AT-ST like level

Looking back,... The only thing that SWBF2 could've done to top what they had,... Destroyable Capital ships. I mean we know you can destroy some hard points, Shield generators, that Refinery in Kashyyyk , etc; as well as Acclamator and Victory class frigates,... so why not just scale up the frigate death animation and throw in some added debris fields?
+LtCnlObvious actually they needed to add Climbing/Swimming So that Wookies could climb faster than humans and Gungans and Mon Calmari could swim faster. The way they just avoided all typical mechanics for mobility made no sense, Not one person in that Galaxy can swim, they all just walk and sink. Even fish people from Dac can't swim? Gungans only do one thing well, swim. :P And nobody has lights? Night vision would be so handy since none of the advanced battle armor setups came with illumination. Not even the clones flashlight on their helmet made it into game. TONS of basics in this game are missing.
Gamefront downloads don't work in some countries, such as Portugal. I don't know of a solution.
I tried installing the maps after making an addons folder, but they don't show up in instant action. I'm running windows 7 if that makes a difference

Can someone explain how to apply this mod to the steam version? I've watched tutorials, but I can't get it to work.
On the ps2, the online servers have all shut down. On the pc, online still works.

Yes, along with loads of ISDs. There's no in-game model for the Executor though.

PC has the option to change the quality of the textures, lighting, draw distance, ect so you can fine tune the game to your system.
For example, my shitty laptop runs Battlefront 2 perfectly on low settings, I sacrifice graphics for gameplay. I'd rather play on low settings than play laggy.
Someone with a good PC can have high settings.
Also, this is a modded map, community made, not the work of a professional studio.
If snow is all you care about, you're missing the point of the game entirely.
I don't think it's destructible. I'm pretty sure it's just part of the background. I could be wrong about that, though. I haven't played this in ages.

Custom maps go in GameData\addon, not GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC. If you don't already have a folder called addon, make one.
Looks like the 2nd one, which looked like the 1st. I'd prefer a little innovation rather than 3 copies of the same thing.
