Calling a deaf person DEF JAM is every type of wild 😂😂😂
She couldn't hear them say it. 🤷🏾♂️🤣
@@VolusiaQ wonder if any1 signed it to her though lol

Def jam lol where she at,I want to meet her🤣🤣🤣🤣yell
I had 2 in my hood we called them soso def and def jamz rip DJ them niggaz talk without talking and I understand everything they say without talking does that make me crazy
Met this brotha in an airport when I ran into my homie DJ Toomp - Brother Marquis is a solid cat, never came off as a "too good celebrity" 💯
You can tell Brother Marquis ready to talk about the drama, 😂. I don't mean to laugh but you can tell he ready to get something off of his chest, especially concerning Uncle Luke.
Facts
He damn sholl is he can’t wait lol
“Lutherrrrr”…
We feel the energy….😂😂😂
He BEEN ready
The switcher Marquis is referring to is the fact Banned In The USA was RECORDED under the guise of being the new 2 Live Crew album. When it was released - it only had Luke's picture on the cover & was presented as a Luke solo album called "Banned In The USA - The Luke LP" - after the album had been out for a minute, it was re-released as just "Banned In The USA" with a pic of the entire group. But in terms of the CHECK - Luke made a solo deal for himself & gave them a 2 Live Crew album
When he said I let Luke get arrested I get away 📱📱📱😬I felt that🏃🏾♂️🏃🏾♂️🏃🏾♂️🏃🏾♂️😂😂🔥🔥💯💯💯💯
Man i remember begging my mom to buy me the 2 Live is what we are album when I was 10 yo. Man when she took me to the record store and saw that album cover she said Hell No, lol. Little did she know I had already listened to a friend’s copy about 100 times already 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Dee Snyder from Twisted Sister, not Poison. He was one of the first musicians to fight back publicly in front of the US Senate against censorship
Straight Outta Compton had a Parental Advisory label on it & that was 88

Straight out of Compton wasn't a documentary unless you believe that Dre was knocking out Pirus and eazy e was crying and broke because dre left.

"I know a place just down the street, baby they dont ask ya no questions and give ya clean sheets...hahaha!" Thanks 2live crew
If they come out with a 2 Live Crew biography movie, it should be called “Banned In The U.S.A.” Like N.W.A.’s biography movie named after their album and 2Pac’s bio pic! 💯
I think they should re do 2pac biopic no 🧢
Yeah, but at least tell the truth because Straight Outta Compton made Cube and Dre look like indestructible. Seriously, Dre knocking out Suge’s Pirus?! Fuc outta here.
Or As Nasty As They Wanna Be 💯
I would watch it 😆😆😆😆😆😆
@@1deep803 I didn’t like straight outta Compton at all. They needed to show ice cube and the crew actually shooting at cops and running the streets.
One of the Original G's of the Rap Game!💪🏿
Marquis had bars, especially on "Check it Out Y'all".
That song hard yell
He did actually. I used to wish sometimes they didn't just rap about bitches. I feel like we missed out on them just spitting bars. Because they were dope.
@@henny6566 Word. I was surprised to hear him say he didn't want to do that. But Luke pushed the group in that direction. I like a lot of those records, but joints like "Check it Out Y'all", "Revelation", "What I Like", and all the Mr. Mixx solos are my favorites.
Those diss records were funny AF
There should be a doc about the Miami bass scene. Poison Clan is awesome as well.
Sad it was so much beef behind the scenes between Marquis and Luke. Real sad. Because it's so much beef behind successful bands, teams, companies. Sad
I saw a post Luke made on IG the other day and he’s pissed about this interview
Me So Horny sampled Fire Cracker by Mass Production.
Also the films "Which Way Is Up?" and "Full Metal Jacket".

A lot of contemporary hip hop artists don't understand what had to be done for them to express themselves the way they are today. Because a lot of these guys had to go through a lot of stuff to express their musical creativity.

I think their biggest record was Move Something. Still a Miami classic.

I wish that Brother Marquis was signed to a better record label
I remember Luke did a comeback album in 97, talking about some " Ah come on lizard lizard.. "
I remember that song . It was weird asf and I didn't get it . Uncle Luke was in the video like : "Here , Lizard-Lizard !!!"
I was really into rap music back then and I would literally listen to everything I got my hands on but that Uncle Luke Lizard song had me scratching my head .
@@glockseventeen233 you don't remember that huge taco bell commercial with the little dog telling godzilla "here lizard lizard"?
Glad, you gotta find Deaf Jam. We need that interview 🤣🤣👌🏽👍🏽
Their story would make a better movie than NWA. Such an amazing story
Yes
LMAO! If you say so. NWA was mixed up in this as well as 2pac, krs one and he was just pro black at the time.
2 live crew was just a small tiny piece of the bigger pie. I remember watching a group of politicians steam rolling over anything rap because even Kid N Play cassette was in their.
This was an attack on black music. It was all racially motivated and they seen hip hop taking over. Even Dionne Warwick was heavy into stopping and banning hip hop
Funny shit is she had kids who are now trying to be rappers and producers but she supports them. 🤷🏾♂️
Their still is an attack on hip hop. It's black music but every other race, even those that dislike blacks are doing it.
@@ayyubfaiyaz3368 Sorry to pop your social justice racial bubble, but this movement to cancel certain types of 'obscene' music involved heavy metal too at the same time, who were deemed satanic. And to call 2 Live Crew a tiny piece - did you even watch this video?
Agree
Did you watch this interview? lol No it wouldn't
These guys was legends in the South and in the rap game.
2 live crew need to put out a reunion album and a documentary !
Sounds good but Fresh Kid Ice is deceased.
documentary for sure... the one that exist is good but it’s so much more to cover, and I’m sure they can find the footage to back it up
Unsung perhaps 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I don’t know about album But definitely a documentary
China Mac could fill in
This is why I left sometimes when people try to romanticize the past or say that people weren't offended by everything back then. Groups ccoildnt even perform certain songs because people were offended .

A new fact that I learned from this interview: that Twisted Sister's Dee Snider was in also in Poison and disguised as Bret Michaels, which explains Poison's uber popularity in the late 80s(and the large gap in Twisted Sister's career from 1987 to 2001). (This is also a ribbing comment,BTW)
I remeber my mom said don’t buy that album. I got mad and come to find out she bought Nasty as they wanna be album and I came home and caught her dancing and cleaning the house to it. Ooo sneaky.
Mama gotta have a life too😄

He said " I LET LUKE GET ARRESTED "😂😂
Pimp C straight out named a corrupt police officer in UGK’s “Protect & Serve” and Jive Records edited that out so quick 😂 but all you have to do is reverse the audio to know who it was
the lines edited are "Killin him" and "Moody Harris".
"Moody Harris" being a funeral home in Port Arthur.
is there another line from that song that is edited out?
I remember my friend sneaking me a listen to 2 Live Crew. I laughed so hard, I still remember that day. That and Buttermilk Biscuits by Sir Mix Alot
