I don’t disagree with anything Marquis said but there is a few other things to consider. First like it or not without Luke, 2 Live as they were known at the time was a one hit wonder. A 12” in those days could carry you a whole summer and the both sides were true bangers. Their second single was okay but definitely wasn’t as good. Luke kept booking them in Miami, inserted himself in the group, took Miami lingo and changed the whole trajectory of what 2 live was about.
