I bumped into Bushwick at a Walmart in Atascosita years ago. His daughter was a baby then and he stopped to talk for a bit. I was with my son who was about 12 at the time and he couldn’t believe we just talked to this guy ( he loves the geto boys). I grew up in 5th ward and saw Bill and the other members of Geto Boys all the time at the local McDonalds when I was his age. Bushwick was Totally down to earth, we talked music, religion, kids, and life. Wise Man

Look people, It's gonna keep changing regardless of what we think.. Maybe the culture will totally collapse into itself and become what it was before, you never know. So I think it's best to keep our heads up and stop whining about what it's like now. Alot of people have gone through a childhood where their parents never understood their interests and we're now in a time where nobody gives any less of a fuck then parents do. I might become like you when I grow old and have kids and I might not understand their interests/music taste but I'll try to at least be optimistic about the future.

The rumors I heard about Bushwick Bill was that he was a fool, but like others watching hell nawl this man was intelligent. Sad he died too soon and the break up was terrible,I know we all wished for a reunion and they all were still living. RIP BB Imma new fan of a once intelligent man and a good entertainer.

I have a confession to make a 5 year old me use to be TERRIFIED of this man. Im talk SCARED TO THE POINT OF TEARS. I was a kid ya know and I listened to his words (my uncles played his music...Little Big Man cd to be particular) and they played the Minds Playing Tricks On Me song and video alot and the shit scared the fuck out of me man lol and there is this one song on the LBM cd called "Childs Play" its a song that pays homage to Chuckie and that shit sure didnt help but as I got older I wasnt scared of the nigga anymore and I actually listened to his music and thats when I discovered I had nothing to be afraid of at all. Dude was smart, intelligent and wise. He was rare. I also realized how his lyrics was actually unique. The Childs Play song is one of the most underrated unique songs ever made. Although disturbing its out of this world and I have yet to hear a record like that to this day and I play it EVERY Halloween. I grew to be a fan and often wrote comments on Bushwicks IG page letting him know that I love his music and that I actually appreciate him (he did "liked" the comment but didnt respond but that was good enough for me :) I been having We Cant Be Stopped, LBM and Phantom of the Rapra in my collection for years now and I am glad I actually paid attention to him while he was here. RIP Bushwick Bill..there never will be another like you! 👼
