To me, one of the greatest rap songs, ever, but so few people know it
Easily one of the greatest rap songs ever, at least to me. It was so different when it came out with its laid back style and conversational tone talking about the demons that are bouncing around your mind at times. RIP Bushwick Bill.
That's a fact homie
Top of the lists of greatest Rap songs ever. Should be in the history lesson of anyone who listens to rap
Try ghostface all I got is you..
Ghost face from wu tang
And
KRS1 loves gonna get cha
These are stories not just words
💯
RIP, Bushwick Bill! Scarface is a legend!
bushwick bill- ever so clear reaction. rapper from this group who tells the real life story of getting shot in the eye and surviving.
Kool g rap. on the run. Another story telling it's a master peace old school 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
He got busy pushing Chore Boy.. but he was fkn dope as fuck.. he had good timing hitting the the notes
Size aint Sh$t..
20 years later and I still have GB in my daily rotation. I love seeing these young cats rediscovering them.
Geto boys is an instant jump back to being young.
I'm glad someone your age can tell the difference between art and content. There might be hope for us all yet.
97.9 the box Houston. Who knows what I'm talking about?
Jammin jimmy olsen
Yeah when 97.9 use to be a good radio station but now it’s trash
Yes 313❤
One of the greatest rap joints ever!
Try these Scarface tracks:
Never Seen The Man Cry
The Diary
A Minute To Pray, A Second To Die
The Diary was an awesome album
My favorite all time rap song. Heard it maybe a billion times and never gets old. Not even really into rap,
Oh hell yeah! I grew up just North of these guys in Greenspoint. They were the shit in H Town in the early 90's
Masterpiece
It's definitely a classic, and sacface who's part of the ghetto boys did a remix in 94
That is fire as well!!! Love Scarface
Love the geto boys. Mind of a lunatic is a crazy song. I was listening to them in 7th grade and my mom took all my geto boys tapes cause they are insane. They make Eminem look like a singer for children’s songs. But y dad ended up giving me my tapes back.
My dad found my walkman with Geto Boys in it. He listened to it. It was 35 years ago but I remember his exact words. He said “There’s a lot of good commentary on societal ills. But most of this is just fucking sick.” 😂. Like WHAT Dad? Them raping and cutting up the teacher? Robbing the bank? Slangin cane? 😂😂
my dad caught me listening to 2 live crew and he just laughed and said boy you better never let your mom hear you listening to that! lol@@Ooofaa-Maa
Summer/fall 1991..... College days...
Welcome to old school Houston rap.
I grew up in the 90's banging this song in Nigeria..
I love it! Getto boys for life! Classic masterpiece. Scarface is the GOAT of the south and top 3 DOA
The world is a ghetto is my favorite ghetto boys song
Love this!!!! Fire ass beat and lyrics! Killer trip down memory lane!
Moral of the Song: Do right and your mind won't play tricks on you.
Also, that hook. I still straight up relate to this. 1st heard when I was a high school freshman 1991
Scarface is the greatest storyteller in the history of hip hop. Scorsese of rap.
Bro…Slick Rick
Storytellin'... you would probably diG " Niggas Bleed" by Biggie Smalls-- not even close, kiD* Enjoy*
@@user-rm1vj7wg1oFace is better than Rick. IMO
6:38 she never stole from him, his mind was playing tricks on him. listen to the verse again
If any dude on the the other side of the street said, "yo, come here bruh" it's always, "nah."
Yes it's a classic
Yes sir!!!! This the rap evryone needs to go back to.
Ah man love this song. Lyrics are on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Agree this is a master piece because you can visualize everything
Classic.. masterpiece
I live in H-Town the ghetto boys have been a staple for decades. Scarface was just a man, Bushwick yeah, just on top deep south third coast in your face..
I kept running into this with Bushwick’s verse removed. Glad he found one with it still in there. This song came out at the same time as naughty by Nature OPP. Just funny the types of rap coming out at the same time.
You just now hearing the GOAT? Yeah I said it. Facemob!!
Think you would like to hear "Steer" by scarface. Worth a listen or even reaction
God bless you broham, good analysis!
Scarface is legit!!!!
Pull up i never seen a man cry till I seen a man die💯💯💯
This is definitely a masterpiece, a Picasso in the art of Story Telling. for more fire from Houston, react to Zro Life is a Battlefield, This aint Livin, crooked Officer, and Respect My Mind, Slim Thug ft Zro and JDawg Associates and No Love, Scarface ft Nas and Rick Ross Do What I Do.
This is a deep cut bruh. Good on you
Hood PTSD😮😢. A classic 😊.
Masterpiece man 👌
CHECK OUT : 6FT DEEP by Gheto Boys 🔥🔥🔥
This song is awesome, it always was
💯 master piece bro
Masterpiece 💯
He did a solo mind playing tricks on his alum in 94. Definitely worth a listen. You should do Smile featuring pac
THIS IS A CLASSIC
I remember my brother played this song in his new car over and over and over so I just was with the shitz now that he passed away it popped up and I just locked it in. Smh rip big brother
glad u got the Venmo back up. I really do like watching Gen Z reacts to older music. Me personally I can't get with mumble rap. The last hip hop style that I thought was fun to bump was Master P just because if you had subwoofers in your car, that ish HIT!
I still like current music (gen z) but I grew up with this, living in Houston. Mumble rap was barely ever as big as you old heads make it seem. None of these rappers be mumbling. Yall just be closed minded and dont listen
So whats your thoughts on Drill rap? @@SlentVce
@@SlentVceplease tell me good current rap. i believe that good rap is very rare nowadays, but i’m willing to change my mind if you show me evidence of it.
@@changedmynamebcyallwouldnt..Jpegmafia, Danny Brown, Denzel Curry, Kenny Mason, JID, Baby Keem, MO3, Earthgang
The ghetto Edgar Allen Poe, we did dirt and wondered who would come get redemption for our treachery.
One of my favorite hip hop groups
Mos def a classic
Well... that wraps up my 90's. 😆
I can still flow with the lyrics. The era when we had sub genre in genre. In rap genre we had different categories and so with RnB, reggae and others. Bring back the 80s, 90s and early 2000.
Lol that still exists old head
Always loved this!
RIP bushwick bill
🔥🔥🔥
Great review and reflection. I was in junior high school when this came out.
Scarface is a legend in tx
This song is still stuck in this 48 year old brain
"I'm going thru a thang" by the Dayton Family is almost on the same level as this song.
Yes that’s back when rappers actually were about something other than creating an image and persona.
The lyrics were about something.
They still are you're not hip to it old head
You gotta check out some old OutKast. The song Players Ball is fire.
ATCQ Scenario
Outkast Southernplayaliisticcadillacfunkymusic
TX show out! Fk yeah, “Damn it feels good to be a gangsta” is even better. Dare ya
It’s the real video
Scarface is one of the greats...had alot rappers(mcs) in his songs when he went solo.
I think you need to do The Showboys - Triggerman
Wsup fam

I think maybe you were born in the wrong time bruh. But it's cool you feelin the gen-x stuff... you can appreciate the raw talent of brothas back then
I’m Gen X and I was like 14
I promise youll never regret listening to Scarface
What happened to you taking me up on the metallica dare...
Thanks for reminding me 😎
