Inkscape. Does the stroke thickness make a difference?

    Hey Phil! Do you know if stroke width matters for engraving as opposed to cutting??

      That is a good question. From my testing, the stroke size does effect the raster engraving in k40 whisperer. It does not effect vector engraving or cutting

    Do you know if there is a setting to make it so that the line thickness *is* taken in to account? So that the negative space removed by the laser would decrease as the line stroke thickness increases?

      If I am thinking of the same thing then you would need to use the offset tool to create a new vector line instead of using the stroke tool

      So it makes sense to design without stroke first to get an accurate cut, then add the stroke afterwards, because in inkscape adding a stroke makes it appear as though the dimensions have increased when they actually haven’t?
