I mean cool 👍 ur bread looks green tho bc of quality-
Yeah. It was a weird light too. We were about to have a storm
@@philscraftcorner oh okay
They are forming you be appreciative
She's trying to win me over so she can stay with us 😅
Yesterday i was watching idiots at work. And was amazed at the giant spills made by cement trucks / lowreys. This building reminds me , when i was 16. I use to work at places like this. Vacuuming halls and cleaning the glass.
I like to watch idiots work too!
@@philscraftcorner I watch them, so hoping to not make the same mistakes myself. Hey. Did I show you the goose egg on me head . Or tell you about the 11 stitches I needed on me arse. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Safety rail? How many people fell though that window to warrant that. Big job sweeet. Stay safe buddy
A child. Might possibly, maybe, on a very rare occasion, be unsupervised in that area. And be old enough to rach, climb and then not have the sense. Causing them to bang on the glass and fall through
@@philscraftcorner I'm just saying, how olds the building. All looks good tho
The building is probably at least 60's - 70s
@@philscraftcorner kinda old ..looks like a good job to work on
@@numbskullskills it's not too bad so far
As a nurse I am the same when dispensing medication. Either way but once you start you have to stick to it
Definitely have to stick to the plan once it's in motion
If you were gonna be restocking once the pile was gone I would run down 1 pile ,start on the next pile and restock the first pile and go back and forth. If this was all the wood I was gonna do I would put one stack on top of another and have 1 x large pile
If I do one large pile. It will feel like a never ending task. There's 5/6 letters on each piece. I need incremental targets to aim for 😅
@@philscraftcorner just saying that’s what I’d do. End of the day you truly know you will still have the same amount of boards to cut out ✌🏼
I am also stuck on this and sympathise with your dilemma
Thanks. I'm going even stack I think
1964, 7th grade shop class. I used jig saw first time, I should have stuck to it. Good brain relax. 😊
Yeah. Definitely a good brain helping device. I took it to as a hobby to de stress
I have a 5 watt what are your settings love it
Thus was done on a 50w Co2. It's been a good number of years since I used a 5w. I am assuming you have a diode laser, depending on the frequency of your particular machine. It might not engrave clear acrylic. As a general rule though. The setting are for a very light engrave. This is around 10% power and 150mm/s for me. Get some scraps and have a test to see how things work for you
@@philscraftcorner yes I have a jl5 Kentok tool
New sub!
Thank you! 😀
@@philscraftcorner Your welcome 👍
Darn missed it
I'll be back on soon
@@philscraftcorner sweeet
Just got this....keeps blowing fuse within seconds. Axminster gave me a report number and will get back to me. I'm livid, I'd boxed this weekend off to get stuck in.. any suggestions? The big green on button is vibrating as well..😢
Which fuse is it blowing? The plug or the little glass one at the back of the machine? My old one blew the glass fuses, and the only thing I could think was some over voltage from the motor. If it's the plug and the trip switch (big green button) is vibrating, then possibly a wiring issue with the trip switch
@@philscraftcorner Hi yes, its the glass fuse. It trips the fuse box in my house, I've tried 3 times with the same result. I've had a crappy little £80 scroll saw for 6 yrs, never given me a problem... Lords knows how long it will take for them to collect and repair. I'm so not happy 😕
@CTID it's such a shame that is happening. Honestly, these are amazing saws that will be an absolute game changer when you get a running one. Axminster customer services are really good. Every time I have needed assistance. They have been really quick
@@philscraftcorner Hope so, can't believe my bloody luck!
@@philscraftcornerNo response from Axminster, I called and asked for a refund (hoping this would prompt a repair) but they won't collect it cos I disposed of the door-sized box! She suggested I visit a supermarket and ask for a large crisp box!! You can't make this up...I've refused, she is speaking to her manager and will get back to me. 😢
Thanks man. Was having the same issue where sone places would be more ppwerful than others. Now this thing is cutting like crazy. Only bad thing is im in the middle of a trophy project and now I have to retest and get all the settings foxed up again 😆 but seriously, cleaning laser lens (and every other lens and mirror) seems to have double or even wuadrupled my power 😳
I'm glad this helped you out. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get back tested and running again
what is mdf ?
It's medium density fibre board. It's a man made board that has a more smooth surface than plywood. It's not as strong though
i always just rip off an edge like its a sauce packet, or a sachet for folks across the pond
I dislike the word sachet. At least spell it sashey or something 🤣 I also used to cut a corner off. Until I found a pack upside down in the toolbox and had to play pick up the cable ties
The black line on your finger can be cancer
Or. I slipped with a drill and jammed it into my finger 😅
@@philscraftcornerDare you to name what it is known as in the UK for the American audience to go nuts over
@@illrapforever they are cable ties in the UK
Not to bad, looks like a good product.
It's doing pretty good
@@philscraftcorner cool, i dont need one but if i did it looks good. hav a good one bud
Question. Can I mix thinner with boiled linseed oil instead of white spirits? I can’t find that where I live. Thanks.
I'm pretty sure it would work, OK? Just make sure it's all dry before lasering. Thinners are pretty flamable.
This is impossible. , when I paint. In 3 minutes I will have paint on my hands. And clothes. And before I'm done. On the floor. All over the table top. And in my hair. The stuff I paint will look good. But l always have a mess. Your a good painter 🎨 Phil !
Haha thanks. I generally get it all over my hands and clothes. I have to consciously think about changing into painting clothes
@@philscraftcorner everything I do. All my shirts have stains. It's embarrassing. 😂
@pontimaniac2303 I have a few sets of good stuff still
Nice...sheets are a pain but not for you. Sure will be nice when you have that shop togethr

@@philscraftcorner LOL sorry Mr dust
I needed those yesterday, sanding an polishing aluminum.
Definitely grab yourself some. I'm really looking into the prescription inserts. The goggles will be absolutely perfect for me then.
@@philscraftcorner that would be good. If I think about it I put in a mask, most of the time I just pick ⚒️ the buggers
Looks super
This is basicaly a rebadged Pégas saw, so that has put me off the Pégas already. 7 Years is not a long time for a saw, even if it works every day. Pégas obviously designed the saw but they are manufactured in Taiwan. I think I will hold out for the Hegner Multicut SE that also has a foot switch and foot operated speed control. Thankyou for your video and hope this saw does better than the previous one.
I'm not entirely sure what it is you're saying is 8 quid mate
The unit I'm installing is £8
I have a two trees ttc450 and want to do a house name to fit to a wall. It wants to be on a board about 18" x 9" x 1/2". Would that be possible ? Liked your video btw.....a bit scary at times and a wee bit too technical but good all the same.
Cnc machines are a bit easier to.work with for this kind of thing. If you are using easel online for designing. There is a feature that allows you to create designs bigger than your work space, and it will automatically create 'pannels' for you. You just need to make sure you keep the workpiece straight and move it the exact amount that you need to. A couple of tests on scrap and I'm.pretty sure you will have the idea
@@philscraftcorner thanks Phil, much appreciated
Google translate app for android or ios has a camera icon which will allow you translate text so maybe you can figure out your Japanese radio and maybe even change the language to English.
We can't actually access the settings. Most of the radio is locked out for some reason. There is no security code. I'm pretty sure it's all on the hidden SD card that is behind a panel when you tilt the screen down. I could always swap the radio for an English double din. But the wiring harness is different, so it all needs cutting and soldering For now, I think this is the easiest and cheapest solution
looks like a 3D printer job,
nice lookin car, tho the wheels on the wrong side

@@philscraftcorner well I missed it an that blows.....
@numbskullskills it was probably too early for you anyway
@@philscraftcorner LOL kinda. Next time maybe
I do think they both look good. I am not seeing the cartoonish you mentioned in the imag-R. I do like that it has more detail. Thank you for sharing this.
The cartoonish look I was referring to is the bold lines in the detail. It's not like a photo. More a drawing
@@philscraftcorner Thank you.
Since iv used clear lacquer iv developed lines in every engraving I do with my sculpfun and each engraving it now gets worse/more visible. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? Thanks
It's a bit difficult to diagnose without seeing the results. But you can try a couple of things, try without the lacquer, and see what the results are like. It could be that you are more focused and have a finer engraving line with this one. In which case increasing the lines per inch will solve that. There could also be debris in your x and y tracks, making the wheels skip. Just check that the laser head can move freely with the machine completely powered off.
Hallo
Hi
Good video. The Builders Merchant MDF or hardboard sheets are formaldehyde free. At least they are here in the USA.
Where do I find the decale?
Hows you doin buddy?
Have you tested the rotary that comes with the machine? Is it possible to add a camera? Looks like a solid machine, pity that you didn't upload the full review of the machine. Cheers
I haven't even un wrapped the rotary I have had. There hasnt been a need for it yet. The machine is still going strong. Only had to replace the tube a couple of times and a power supply. But that was because of a faulty tube that cracked and arced the power through the case.
😅 I'm glad the machine is doing great, I'm about to buy one, looks like no one has unwrapped the rotary yet 🤣, looks solid though but it's weird that I haven't came across any video showing how it's used!
I'll try and get it set up this week and see how it works.
@@philscraftcornerThat would be great, looks like a decent rotary, looking forward to a review if it's possible.

wow that stuff is amazing way cool. what the heck phil you trimed all the fur
It's really good stuff. I can't believe how much they actually sent. I trimmed it down because I felt it was looking a bit scruffy, and I couldn't get it to style how I wanted. What do you think. Should I grow it back?
