you are a master and a great big help thank you my friend
On the machines I used to operate, on the top side of the lens, it had a ring/washer made out of resin core solder to give room to expand if it got hot. Could possibly use a thin viton Oring to do the same job. On these machines, they also had a small air bleed onto all mirrors as well as the lens.
Concave UP....for the rest exactly what I was looking for .than you
Very nice. Love my K40 :) Cheers
Smart little unit
Great tip!
Glad it was helpful!
The laser lens should never be handled with bare skin. They are TOXIC! The broken lens should be handled with even greater care, as to not get any shards into your skin or inhale any of the dust.
Finally getting some time to get caught up a bit. I'm looking forward to seeing more about the adjustable bed height. I know I can't cut much thicker stuff, but some of the parts I want to engrave....or etch into the anodizing.....are a good bit thicker....2" or so...? There's not enough room under the lens assembly in it's current configuration.
Hi Mike, looking like a fibre laser more and more
@@rogerwebb9600 I was thinking the same thing. lol :)
Are the replacement tubes all the same? Thinking of buying a k40 but worried about spares backup
There are a few places where you can get drop in laser tubes for these machines, Cloudray being the big one. You can get pretty much everything you need to do any kind of repair or upgrade to them.
Greater job sir,1st comment
Thanks and welcome
Did you use a D16 F25.4 mm lens here?
Yes
@@rogerwebb9600 Thankyou Rodger your videos are very informative and professional.
Concave up right? Flat down....
It's convex not concave ... I always remember the difference because, 'caves' go in ...
INK SCAPE not Space lol
