At 12:25 you put a new piece of tape over the lens for aligning the laser, I noticed it actually seemed to burn 3 small marks with one beam, is that from a reflection?

What do you mean regarding the ground line? This is what I’m most concerned about.

Dear roger , sorry to say but you can revert back to the old drivers if you need to even after the installation of k40 whisperer,

I picked up one of the K40's with the digital display and added a 0-20 ma meter and a door limit switch as mine did not come with one.
Glad to see that your K40 has a door limit switch installed.
Since I have a Raspberry Pi4 set up as a desktop computer in the same room as the K40 I installed the Linux version of K40 whisperer.
I'm looking forward to seeing what projects you come up with.

What was your final solution for the USB plug access? I was thinking maybe longer spacers?

Interesting, thank you. I looked at the K40 (various models) but I have decided to buy an Atomstack A5 Pro which is a simple laser diode open assembly. It seems capable for such a cheap simple design but I wonder if it has less, the same or better performance than the K40.

I have the exact k40 you have. I am destroying mirrors for some reason. When I have long timed cuts the mirror cracked. Any idea on why this might be happening.

Put the tube on laser pointing up and the bubbles just dissipate.
