"it is very stable and powerful. The video sequence editor is very powerful and stable as well." sounds like a sentence I would put in a set length essay XD
The only advantage about the Blender VSE is that if you want to render a fairly simple animation project, you can EDIT BEFORE RENDERING. You can do this by linking all the animation scene files and then adding them as strips into the VSE. Then you can straight to final output without having to render to intermediate image sequences. That way you can save on storage space and the render time that would be lost by rendering frames that would be edited out otherwise.
Working on a big project the VSE becomes super handy and important part of the pipeline: You are able to link all your 3D scenes from different files lively and do all the edit before hitting render. And this alone proves why you should use it instead any other way.
@@BlenderDumbass Not only that but it is taking forever to render because it restrict you to only use CPU on the free version. And it has sooo many stupid decisions in this software. I don't really care for GPL when it comes to my work, but I will give Blender a try.

Done. Really tho, is VST support and audio recording the only thing blender is missing?)
VST support would be a gamechanger, especially with the transition to nodes. Imagine having midi inputs that directly impact a set of geometry nodes. Would be beautiful
VSE definitely has potential, but require a lot of work to do. For now it's biggest strength is that there is no way to make it crash Blender and motion tracker. However when you start adding overlapping strips or try to do some post effects the playback slows down to crawl until you let it cache the frames. It makes simple edits quite a slog as it slows down on every cursor move or playback. Also rendering is very very slow compared to for example Kdenlive.
I think the stability comes in a software by a number of users it have. If you talk of Blender, there's millions of users using Blender every day with around 1000 bugs getting reported every day. Compared to other full fledged open source video editor such as Kdenlive, it doesn't have that much user base which doesn't let them getting so many bugs reported and so they end up shipping buggy software in their stable build. Studios won't give up their current pipelines for Blender. I wrote 550,000 lines of pipeline, artist and effects tools for Maya and MotionBuilder in 5 years in 3 jobs. That would be a drop in the bucket for a big studio. That is a lot of momentum. Every studio needs a pipeline department of some sort when it gets past around 15 workstations and multiple projects. A Blender studio with the same number of programmers can get a lot more for their money. So if I was starting a studio today, I could have maybe 30 Blender workstations, and one single workstation for the times when only Houdini/Maya/ZBrush/Nuke/Premiere will do. Our pipeline department would focus on team tools and check in and check out systems. The costliest part would be the artist training program. I had to go through one at R&H to learn their unique in-house software. I had to do it again on Avatar to master their previz system. This is not a necessary evil in a smaller studio. But I don't think there's a huge supply of A-list Blender artists that are as good and fast as studio level Maya artists. Blender:
Jack of all trades
Master of none
Short answer : thousand times yes, Blender is damn good for editing !
Actually blender is good for everything... 😎
Actually no, blender tries to pack everything into one place, and I does it, but that’s why each component isn’t the best. I like sculpting mode and Modeling, but for Rest I use other software, substance painter, Houdini, nuke, davinci resolve, octane.
yes you are right, and this is why Davinci, Zbrush, Substance, Houdini are VERY good and not just "good"

Honestly blender is fucking horrible for video editing. from my experience it just sucks. it doesnt save properly, playing the video somewhere thats not the start will have different outcome than when you play it from the start. its just not consistent i fucking hate it
This channel is called " InspirationTuts ", but has nothing to do with inspiration or tutorials, it only post same repetitive content over and over again, ex.: "Is Blender good for Video Editing", "is Blender good for 2D animation", "is Blender good for Architecture", and so on, or do some lame comparison between softwares e.: "3D max or Maya Which is Better", "Maya or Blender which is Better", "3D max or Blender Which is Better" and so on ... Truly there is lack of content ...
