I couldn't agree more! My only nitpick would be, somewhat ironically, the audio. Try using an audio compressor to get all your VO to the same volume output. Also, make sure no other audio is playing during your VO so we can hear everything you say. Either way, "This was one of the most helpful tutorials I have ever watched on RUclips. On any subject!" :)

I leaped into a volunteer project to make a youtube video for a non-profit. I made clear I had absolutely no idea how to do any video editing. Every other tutorial I've seen tried to teach way too many things about how to customize and tinker with Blender before it got down to actually editing video. This tutorial got me from knowing nothing to editing video very quickly. It gets to the point and got me working quickly. Great job on this and the rest of the series.
I'm so used to chaotically teaching myself because tutorials feel like they can drag but this was so well done and well paced it actually got me to sit down and learn! Thank you!

Pretty good way of introducing us to Blender - I needed to do some simple stuff (cutting, rotating, blurring out identifying info, overlaying some simple stuff into a video) for a project and I'd never done any video editing before; after watching this I got it done in an evening.
I really like how specific you are, even explaning stuff like "scrolling with the middle mouse button" and "a * means you have unsaved changes" Sure, if you know about them, it may seem silly but I don't see it that way: for someone who *doesn't* know, this is huge, and isn't going to be pointed out in your usual tutorial, so this is actually very important

@@ChristopherLum I'm not sure what program you're using for screen capturing when making these videos but a walk through of using that could be useful. Especially if it's a free software like blender. I just started using a software called OST and so far it's kind of confusing

Thanks for sharing this video. I am a retired video editor and graphics designer, and I used Adobe Premiere (actually several Adobe Creative Cloud apps). Now that I'm retired, but still do some minor editing work, I cannot afford to cough up Adobe's "subscription" to their suite of apps. Blender might be in my future. I'm not too crazy about having to go through the proxy steps just to get a smooth playback. I was spoiled with Premiere and clips just played smoothly with their native resolutions.
Hi Rene, great to hear from you again. Yeah, the proxy step can be cumbersome, especially if you have to wait 10 minutes for it to build proxies for larger files. Thanks for watching!
Christopher Lum if you have your media on an external drive, or secondary internal drive, you’ll achieve better performance. Otherwise the one drive is working too hard, accessing the app and the media simultaneously.

I love clicking on a menu in blender only to find out I need a masters degree in applied quantum physics to even comprehend how to use it.
Blender is just a tool. One needs knowledge to use it.

Thanks for sharing this video. I am a retired video editor and graphics designer, and I used Adobe Premiere (actually several Adobe Creative Cloud apps). Now that I'm retired, but still do some minor editing work, I cannot afford to cough up Adobe's "subscription" to their suite of apps. Blender might be in my future. I'm not too crazy about having to go through the proxy steps just to get a smooth playback. I was spoiled with Premiere and clips just played smoothly with their native resolutions.
Hi Rene, great to hear from you again. Yeah, the proxy step can be cumbersome, especially if you have to wait 10 minutes for it to build proxies for larger files. Thanks for watching!
Christopher Lum if you have your media on an external drive, or secondary internal drive, you’ll achieve better performance. Otherwise the one drive is working too hard, accessing the app and the media simultaneously.
