Yo, I'm sorry that that happened to you. Super lame. I don't know anybody who has had this issue, but it seems annoying as hell to have that happen to you. Good luck with getting the album back on spotify though.
Same thing is going with me recently i keep receiving warning and threats. I've no idea where those fake streams are coming from. This is unfair especially if I'm not aware of any kind of this streams. They should remove the playlists instead of punishing the innocent artists like us.
My friend works at a major record label and she said they pay for fake streams for the artists on their roster. But major labels don’t get penalized like indie artists do. It’s a rigged system!
Me too! Just today I discovered that Spotify deleted one of my albums! So frustrating and harsh. It makes me sad to see that this is really quite common from what I see in the other comments.
They just removed a friend's album as well for supposed artificial plays !! How can they accuse the artists for something that any 3rd party can do ?!? It is freaking scary how much power a platform has gained now and what it can do with the big labels.
@@JacksonWhalan I actually have a plan. I wouldn’t mind sharing it with you if you’re interested. I’ve been brainstorming it to other small artists like you and myself
Same thing happened to me. I’ve never paid anyone for artificial streams. This is super lame and hurts independent artists. With no real solutions available. Only to reupload and start from scratch unfortunately.
The exact same thing happened to me a few months ago. Apparently, two songs from my album got on two playlists that boosted the number of plays by a couple of thousands. I have never paid for this service and I have no idea who is behind those playlists. Same as you, my whole album was taken down from Spotify. I did not re-uploed it yet. Not sure it’s worth it. And just like you I find it raises some serious questions about the integrity of various actors in this system. Very unfair and discouraging. Thanks for sharing this.
same thing happened to me with my debut track, 2 years after release they took it down for the same reason, I had almost cracked the 1 Million Streams..
Dude I started working with the Odd Squad family. I did like 7 tracks. I got way more streams than Ive ever seen. Which by the way I spent over 4k in features. Why would I pay all that money for a feature Just so I have to buy fake streams It don't make no sense. I had their manager contact my distributor and they told them that they can prove that they're used to those kind of numbers and they also proved their advertising for the song and how there's music videos up and they backed away and I haven't heard anything about it since but it was really odd It was almost like they were penalizing me for doing good. Its just wild... And yes the fact that someone can add one of your songs to a playlist that does fake streams is messed up because anybody could do that to anybody. I was wondering if maybe somebody did that to me because they were hating on me.
Ask Spotify how can you consider an artist responsible for fake streams. Anybody can do it to anybody's song. Maybe spotify's enenemy is doing this. See what they say...
A friend of mine, Felicia Catharina had the same problem last week. We want to create content around this problem as well. Would you know of a hashtag that is already active?

It happened to me as well. Had two projects removed and I was only using Spotify discovery mode

Makes me feel like going to Spotify is even worth it. I'm glad I found this video. Ty
Same thing is happening to a lot of us. Spotify is targeting innocent people here and it almost seems like there’s nothing we could do about it
Right!!? Except talk about it!

It’s the worst problem for indie artists right now.
Same they just removed my dedication album my brother produced before he passed last year. All streaming platforms.
that is so sad
same thing happened to me with my debut track, 2 years after release they took it down for the same reason, I had almost cracked the 1 Million Streams..

How did it work out?
This just happened to me! I just noticed that my whole album from 2021 was deleted from Spotify. I’m so disappointed.
same happened to us! man, this is so bad... only one song was flagged and DISTROKID decided to take down our whole album.
Yup!
same just happened to me😤 and don't know how to fix it
You should be able to re-distribute using the same ISRC codes from your songs.
Do you have to put it as already released or new release@@JacksonWhalan
same thing happened to me. beyond devastated tbh
happening to way to many of us! Spotify has a form now though where you can report sketchy playlists!
This just happened to my Album today. So frustrating. Spotify was not helpful at all. No explanation. I paid for no promo or marketing services.
