If you buy an sxt someone will say “should’ve bought an RT”. If you get an RT someone will say “it’s not a hellcat”. If you get a hellcat they will say it’s not a demon. One thing about these cars is they WILL attract a lot of haters from my experience.

I've had an SXT for a year now and realized there are 2 types of Dodge people. The majority, that are just glad to see another Challenger/Charger. And then the "Why not a Demon?" people.

Here is a fact : I had a 2018 SXT challenger. It was hands down the best daily driver ive ever had . 114k miles and NEVER had one problem with the car . That car never let me down , I took it across country 3 times . I drove it every day where I went to clients houses every day . The stereo was good . The car was comfortable, the trunk was huge . It was quick enough, and drove great in heavy and sooo fun in light traffic . Gas mileage was decent. And the car just looked cool , smokey quartz , black tinted windows , and 20 inch bling blings. I LOVED that car .
I upgraded to a 2021 GT 2 days ago because I was just so happy with my experience with the car .
Sure , RT or hellcat would be crazy fun.
But really as a daily driver, it made no sense for gas and traffic .
So yea , don't let People hate , if you like that car and want one , it's a good car , it got me everywhere and fun af to drive .
    Enjoy

My son's dream car has always been a '71 Challenger but, since they're nearly made of unobtanium, he decided a new Challenger was the way to go. Being under 25, for the insurance break he bought a new base '20 Challenger SXT. He absolutely loves it, and I agree that it's a great car with plenty of features.
Now that he's nearly 25, he's looking for a Challenger R/T. Who knows, maybe he'll try to get an SRT or a Hellcat. with any of them, hard to go wrong. Great cars!

Funny thing about rentals is one, sometimes, finds a rental model to buy later.
Last January, I rented a truck to pick up car parts for my daily classic BMW.
They brought out a 2020 Silverado Crew Cab.
I liked it enough to buy a 2017 Silverado Crew Cab last month (the newer ones were out of my budget.)
Now the BMW sits happily safe and I drive it, happily, every month or so.

I've seen a LOT of these types of review videos ever since I got my Challenger In January, and I gotta say... This is one of the best ones. You go through a lot, very confidently and very thoroughly. Except the "oil life x2" portion, where one is oil life and the other is the amount/capacity, I believe. I'm actually surprised you didn't go into the specifications on the details of the signature headlights, though. Most reviews always go through those. Also, being a DD I drove 4 friends home in mine. The space, in my opinion, is actually very sufficient and luxurious for this specific vehicle.🤷‍♂️. I am also 5'10", and I have plenty of space, even with passengers. All in all, I give your review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Lol. Very well done.👏🤘

I've test driven a few of these, the v6 is surprisingly quick. I rented an RT and man the sound and torque of that hemi is awesome. I'm going to buy one and am leaning towards a GT, mainly because I have a government job and know I would get into trouble driving that hemi everyday. Also the GT and RT come with much nicer bolstered seats and the large hood scoop. The GT felt a little quicker than the SXT, I believe it has higher rear end gears. Nice review, looks like you had fun.

Found your great review offered by YT... Literally week before you published it I got brand new 2020 GT AWD. V6 Challenger is more a classy cruiser than a muscle/performance car, but all around is a very nice blend - great look, a lot of comfortable room inside, great ride and fairly enough power for everyday use. For me, as European driver just jumping up from our midsize cars, the 3,6 L V6 has really good amount of power. Of course, the V6 is lacking the low end torque of V8, but the transmission does a great job being well paired with the engine, keeping low rpm at cruising and making crisp downshifts when floored. And the sound is not bad for V6 at all:-)

I'm on my second Challenger SXT. With manufacturer rebate ($5300), dealer discount ($1276), and very favorable trade in ($15,460) on my 2016 with 55,000 miles on it, I couldn't pass up the upgrade to a 2020. Says something too that my trade in went for sale on the dealers lot as a CPO. It was 100% reliable with only scheduled maintenance needed. I'll disagree with your back seat assessment. The Challenger back seat is way roomier than a Camaro or Mustang. I'm 5'10" and with the driver seat adjusted for me, adults can fit back there just fine. This is absolutely the best long distance road car I've ever owned. Comfortable and quiet with gobs of power, it eats up the miles effortlessly and I always arrive at my destination still refreshed. And you can't beat the styling...best retro look vehicle on the road IMO. There's a reason why Challenger sales have continued to increase year after year, despite it being a 12 year old design with only one interior upgrade and one minor exterior change in all that time. Love my Challenger SXT...both of them!

I recently bought my first Challenger, bought used one a 2015. To be honest the reason why I started watching your vid was the paint job on into pic on your Challenger was the same as mine, then once you got into the vid I realized it was a different car, was a little disappointed for that reason, but other than that your actual review was quite good. I noticed that there are very few differences in the 2015 and 2020 and mainly being in access to the back seat. My wife calls it a 2 seater, I say well it does have a back seat, and she reminds me that nobody is getting back there so it is a 2 seater. :) Other than that I love my Challenger which I have only had for couple of months and enjoy the driving experience like you do. My 2015 in 2021 had about as much mileage on it as your had in this vid so it was a real good deal for buying a used car.
Mine also came with the chrome gas cap and while I am a fan of chrome for the most part, I always thought the chrome gas cap was out of place so I replaced mine with a black cap which is the color of my car and I think it looks much better. I've done a few other mods to my car to make it more as to what I wanted in my car that it didn't come with as it was a pretty basic trim package.
Great review and you could make all of us Challenger owners proud.

In my teens I had a 73 Challenger with v8. Only 240 horses. And it drank the gas.... I really couldn't afford the gas driving hard. Fast forward to today's challenger. 305 horses with a v6 with 30 mpg on the highway. Yeah I'd drive the v6.

Another good review. I had a 1973 Challenger with the common 318cu V8 with the slapstick auto in college. I purchased it for $2500 ion a used car lot in 1982 in Tampa to replace a Datsun B210 my folks were kind enough to give me until wrecked because a cop driving her Corvette crossed in front of me and another car. Her insurance paid me the money to buy the 73 Challenger.. .It was a non A/C equiped model in Florida. I loved that car except from June to September. :-) Thank you for reviewing the base Challenger.

Agree, the SXT is a fun rental and gets great mileage. I believe I was averaging 30 mpg. Rented one on a family vacation to Disney and took it down to the keys. Fit all our luggage and 2 kids for a week. How many 2-doors can you do that in?

For opening the doors: Rather than palm facing outward and grabbing the door handle by the front edge, it looks like palm facing inward then sliding a couple of fingers through the loop would be more comfortable.

I just ordered a 2021, I was in love the first time I saw it. Major selling point: you can get them in AWD. I was looking at an Altima until I found out that these come in AWD.
I live where the snow gets bad sometimes, and they don't always plow the roads properly.

Sounds to me that you might be a secretive Mopar guy. These kinds of vehicles will do that to you! Yea, they might not be the greatest cars in the world but they’re definitely fun to drive. I drive a ‘19 Ram so I may be a bit biased, but I love renting Chargers or Challengers whenever I get the chance.

I don't have a 2020 challenger.. but I do have a 2020 SXT charger 3.6 blackpack edition gloss.. with a traction/sport mode standard. When disabled traction it automatically goes into sport mode. You'll see it big on your front display. I got it in December and love the car. You do get a full 7 inch screen display with no bezels.
