This video was so helpful saved me big bucks, found a water bottle cap in my filter blocking to pump. How it got that far is amazing...thank you for the video!
Thank you for your video. The leak I needed to find was in the 'filter to tub hose', which was only found when the machine was tipped over as you demonstrated at approx 06:00 minute mark. The hose had a small hole in it and I was able to do a temporary repair using a bicycle tyre (tire) repair kit (vulcanising glue and patch).
Lotsa junk in front filter, Thank you. Cleaned out rubber door ring. Thank you. Tilted washer back and peek underneath Took back guard off and saw it was leaking near top. Removed top - Rats had chewed through hot and cold water lines. Your video was a great help. It gave me the start and confidence to dive in. Thank you. Replaced hoses Sprayed lavender all over inside of washer. Should keep the rats out; but, at least I like the smell of lavender. Thank you.
TheJonboix a neat trick I learned is if you want to make sure your washer is no longer leaking is use a large cardboard box that fits between the feet. After every wash cycle pull it out. Any water should and signs of a leak and it will also gives you the general location of the leak.
Thanks for the video. I'd like to add a correction. If your in feed hoses are leaking and they weren't loose, replace the sealing gasket. These don't use the threads to seal. Adding Teflon tape isn't fixing the leaking area.
Sounds like a bunch of leaks in the ol front load samsung 🤔. I specifically came for the drum leak.. Sounds like I may as well replace my machine. You helped me fix the last ! 👍 👌
Thanks for the video it has helped me eliminate all of the leaking points of the washer. the cardboard test is the best idea ever. After seeing this video I have discovered where my leak is coming from. The warranty tech came out to find the leak and tried everything. It turns out that the leak was coming from the over flow outlet on the back of the washer it is a white plastic part that acts like a vent for the tub. The soap I was using was ALL 4 in 1 pods that has softeners that don't allow the suds to dissipate so they came out the back of the washer I changed to Tide pods without softeners and no more leaks that simple. So use soap that has no softeners and is HE rated.
Russell Spokish I’m so glad that idea helped. And I will be sure to look on mine in this area as part of my leak troubleshooting if I ever have any problems in the future. Thanks for your comment and stopping by.
Hi Joel, thanks for posting, you are very helpful. My only problem is I have the washer and dryer stacked in a closet that the builder made for this but I have a tile floor with a marble threshold which is in our bedroom suite that has carpeting, so sliding out is a bit of a problem. I have to get a big sheet of metal and try sliding it out over the threshold and rug. That is the hard part, finding and fixing the leak will be the easy part if it is just the hose. Thanks again for your help!
@@jasonmiller5586 I actually solved the problem, I installed two doors on the adjoining wall that's in the bathroom so I can slide the units into the bathroom over the tile floor. Since my original comment I replaced the washer and dryer with new units. This fix made it easy to install.
I've worked on appliances for 10+ yrs. I tell all my customers to buy the mesh bags for washing small things and you need to leave the door open for 12hrs or more after use. "This is the First Person I seen on YT with enough common cents to get one." They never do, then a few months go by and I get called out for the same problem or a leaking tub seal. A lot of problems with the newer W/D are caused be the operator, too much fabric softer or detergent.
Mine was leaking at the input valve behind the hose connections. Had to take off the top and run the cycle - it was obvious after that. The valve was easy to replace once I figured it out.
SnowManD you’re going to have to take the bottom hose off and check there first. If not. When the washer is empty of water and not plugged in. Tilt in its side. You will start at the pump and disconnect grey hose. Check the pump and the hose.
Henrik Staib you mean at the door you have a leak and suspect the gasket to be the issue? As you begin to remove that Grey piece. I believe there screws that attach them to the unit themself are behind the grey gasket. Remember to be really careful here because that rubber piece can tear. Try peeling back that area gently. I am assuming you’re trying to remove that grey gasket? Also remember the wire the goes around the front of the gasket to maintain a seal.
Just replaced all shocked absorbers, the inlet hose when filling. And the door seal, all tip top dome right and tight. But it's still leaking. Directly under the machine, I have not yet inspected that hose...but I hope that's all it is. This thing is becoming my 95 neon all over again. Needs constant attention. If it's the tub itself it's gone that's it. So for it's own sake it better be that hose. That's the only thing at this point I've checked everything else and basically rebuilt the entire machine. Bought it used, first mistake...man someone really didn't know what they were doing lol Bought a FRONT loader, 2nd mistake. Thanks for the video! Great video, my question is common sense but what would I look for in the hose? Didn't look cracked or bent from the sides. But couldn't actually see under the hose. A split maybe??
It depends which hose. I am guessing the main drain hose I showed?. My issue was like yours. I could not figure out why it was leaking. I bought a new drain hose on amazon which came with a new clamp. this fixed the issue. It could also be coming from the grey drain hose that goes from the pump all the way to the drain. I have seen this clogged with my kids socks and it is so much fun to get out. Also you don't know how many times I'be heard of people troubleshooting only to find the filter knob was not cleaned and put back properly. Or the drain plug for filter was not reattached.
My problem was the door’s attachment screws were loose, probably from me leaning on the door a bit when it was open. There are six screws that attach the door to the washer. Three were loose. I tightened the screws and there’s been no problem afterwards. Water was leaking INSIDE the washer.
Great video, one question. What causes water to be leaked into the tub after/between loads? No water is present after loads are done yet a few days later without use there'll be a bunch of water in the bottom of the tub, inside.
I have the same washer, I slid a piece of cardboard under it like you mentioned. I ran a cycle and the leak I’m experiencing is in the middle (from left to right) of the washer about an inch back from the very front underneath it. It is not leaking down from the outside anywhere it seems to be coming from underneath. Any advice would be great.
Angela Ramcharan once you have an idea of the leaks location. At this point there’s no other was to locate than to pull the washer out and look. The Front right I don’t remember there being any hoses. Is it the same model as mine or newer? First I would check the your water leak is not from the filter trap. Sometimes they aren’t clean. Leak and travel along the front. There could be water getting behind the front gasket. And finally check where your detergent goes. Make sure it’s clean and not clogged up enough to cause the water to spill out.
Do you have any idea what would be causing a very slow drip that is coming from the top of the big grey rubber ring gasket just inside the washer that you see when you open the door? I cleaned the filter on the lower left front… there was very little debris in it.
@@annmartin8932 based on the description it’s tough to diagnose. But it sounds like the area where water comes into the washer. If it has a constant drip. This could be a valve. It’s not coming out the door? Just inside. If it’s dripping out the door it’s almost always debris in the door and gasket making and imperfect seal. If the gasket has deteriorated. It can cause that leak. If I got it wrong let me know.
@@dissectingdiy Thanks very much for responding. No water is coming out of the door and otherwise the washer is working normally. No error codes have shown up, no warning chime (it's a Samsung). It drips once every 15 seconds or so. If I were to open the filter door and allow the black tube to drain out accumulated water since I last did it a couple of days ago, my guess is there would be about a quart. It's dripping from the small circular hole in an oblong plug that's located at the top of the the grey rubber door gasket.
thanks for the video, yesterday my washer dumped 7.5 gallons of water into my house. Today im troubleshooting, mine is dumping water from the bottom. Now i need to remove the freaking dryer from on top because mine are stacked. ugh...
🤔 wondering why you used a screwdriver or whatever you had to open the tiny hatch on the bottom left corner when all you had to do was push it in and it’ll pop out.
😳 that sucks, I’ve come to the realization that Samsung should stick to phones only. My washer and dryer are barely 2 yrs old, got them from Best Buy and have been having issues since they installed it. Hopefully you won’t have any more problems, as for me, I’m switching to MayTag or GE🥴
There are two types of doors....one where you have to use a coin or screwdriver to pop open (as in this video - I have the same) and another that is push pull..
Thanks for the video. I have a leak that has been caused by the gasket not being properly sealed at the bottom. This happened because we've been drying the seal between washes and evidently we accidentally tugged on it too hard and pulled it out of the channel. I have a video that shows a 6-8" section of the gasket that isn't tucked in like the rest of the gasket. I haven't been able to push it back in to place. Do you have any suggestions on how to do it without taking off the front cover?
@@MahlmeisterTV so in am unsure where the video you said you have is. I did check your channel. Is the pump video the one? If this is the front seal on the washing machine where it meet the door. There is actually a wire I believe that goes around the front that holds this in place. Sometimes if pulled out it just gets pulled out of place and the wire attempt to close as it is a bit of a tight fit. Probably why it isn’t just going back into place. It just needs to be manipulated and reseated. Do be careful as they can be broken.
@@dissectingdiy I have a video but don't know if there is a way to post it on this thread. I can also send it to you directly if that would help. I will post it on my @mahlmeisterTV channel in the next 5 minutes. Thanks for the quick reply.
@@MahlmeisterTV it looks like the door boot seal has been separated on the inside of the washer. If you take the front cover off there is a clamp that holds the boot on the inside. This may not require a front boot replacement. But I’d consider it. It does require the front panel to be removed and that to be loosened and reseated properly. While I don’t have a RUclips video on how to do this. I would search how to replace this models door boot gasket. If you choose not to replace the videos will show what I’m talking about. Keep in mind the wire that hold the door boot seal to the front of the washers front panel as damaging this will require replacement as well and may add repair time.
I see water dripping from the top of the diaphragm… it’s a drop and it’s continuous… before I go ahead and ask for a person to look at it I wanted to see if there were any recommendations? Thank you!
I would need more details. You’re speaking of the great diaphragm where the door shuts yes? The first thing I would do is check for dirt, debris, cracks or improper sealing. Make sure it’s clean and that they wire underneath that is spring loaded is connected properly. I’m hoping it’s just dirt.
My leak was a sensor with a gasket at the bottom of the drum had come out , simple fix just remove sensor from gasket , replace gasket and push sensor back in.
Our Samsung washer just dumped its water into the pan tonight. Thank God I reinstalled pan and drain after laundry room remodel. Before I hooked up the washer, I cleaned out the trap in front, removed pump and checked pump impeller for blockage. Reconnected everything including round spring clamp holding boot seal. Installed new braided steel lines as precaution. It’s about 8 years old. Won’t be easy to remove washer from cabinet - dreading the process. Noticed small amount of water recently in pan up front on detergent cubby side. Could boot seal be culprit? Just fixed dryer yesterday. Both have been troublesome.
Georgia Fan inwould run it and watch it during the cycle. Focus on your drain hoses and inlets. Place a dry piece of cardboard and keep checking it through the cycle. It could be the front but it could be a clogged feeding tray for detergent. Really need to watch it. If it is coming from under the unit. You will definitely have to pull it out of the area and investigate further. If unable to. Will need a local handyman.
@@dissectingdiy we found the source. It was a loose clamp on the hose leading from tub to pump. Hose was good. Getting unit out of cabinet was the most laborious step. Handyman/service tech helped me out. Thanks for your advice! 👍
at 2:45 you mention if that is a leaking area will that present with water coming from the front face of the washer machine? Because i did the cardboard test and i have drips from the bottom front like directly under that area you mention at 2:45. but its underneath the machine? I dont see any tears though. What do you think?? advice on this is much appreciated!!!!
After I turned the drain filter to try to get it open, I noticed a leak at the bottom left corner (right under where the filter is) I drained all the water but it still leaked. It happened as soon as I was turning the knob to open the filter.
The filter at the base will leak if not drained properly. this is normal. There should be a hose with a plug in it. You will need a small bucket to catch that water. If water does spill on the floor it wipes up easy. After all that water is out you can go ahead and inspect the filter for anything it might have caught. Clean out any sludge and or debris. When putting the filter back in. Ensure that the gasket is clean and that the hose has been plugged again. Good luck.
@@dissectingdiy it seems I experienced the same issue with my washer where the big amount water was leaked underneath through the carpet without being noticeable. I opened emergency drain tube but there was no water coming out. However the water was dripping under the pump filter. I soaked all the water and wanted to clean up the filter. But I could not pull out the filter. I tried to turn the pump filter knob counterclockwise as per instruction but I still could not pull the filter out. How it's supposed to come out? Thank you
@@olegleontovych3124 you are doing it correctly. I have a video for the filter housing. If you never have taken it out it may be stuck and once removed the gasket may have issues resealing. I recommend having a replacement gasket on hand. Some people who have had to force it have cracked or stripped it out. So be careful. If this does happen there are replacement parts of course but you’ll have to prepare around the down time.
@@dissectingdiy Thank you for that video, brother. I reviewed and it will try to use some pliers. It's very inconvenient to hold the pipe while rotating and pulling the filter. Could it be that all dirt and crap that was collected in the filter has caused it to get stuck?
They do get stuck and can break trying to get them out. Run a clean cycle. Hot after the cycle is completed start as if going to lead. Once the Pump drains turn it off. You can try then but be warned the water may still be not coming out. So do be careful.
check drain hose closely fill with water will help , hose 50 bucks often can tape repair. also motor tip if washer runs ok then fails then run again only to fail , pump motor magnet will crack replace pump motor 30 buck gl
I have had so much trouble with Samsung. Never again. I’ve had to replace the heating element in the dryer 3 times in a span of 5 years, had to completely replace the dishwasher with a different brand, ice machine sucks and always gets jammed, and now my washer is leaking! Great! At least the microwave is still in good shape 😂
also had terrible luck Samsung dishwasher....was told by local parts store that Samsung has some good appliances, washers and fridges but the dishwashers are crap...sells a ton of parts for them
I like your video.. I have a problem, how do I retrieve back the filter tube because I accidentally pushed it in. Am I supposed to open up the bottom of the washing machine to retrieve it?
There is a Phillips head screw holding a plastic cover around the filter. If you still cant get to it you may have to take the front off. sometimes you can reach it from under the machine just tilt it back
Kenneth Johnson replace the white stopper that should be at the end of that drain hose. The only time that should be taken off is when you’re draining the washer to clean out the filter.
The hose drawer tub may be blocked. Or you could have too high a water pressure? Non High efficiency detergent resulting in foreign materials on the drawer. I would take the drawer out and inspect
Mine leaks from the left side starting at the soap dispenser level and then down the join in the side ONLY when I do the "sanitize" cycle. Brand new machine. No idea - I just put a towel on the floor and pick it up after. :(
Maryam during the really hot sanitize cycle only? If you just bought it definitely contact Samsung for a service tech. My got hit with a surge and they repaired it for nothing. I can’t think of any reason other than physical damage. Unless the hot cycle is heating up a poorly seated seal somewhere and causing water to get by.
@@dissectingdiy Thank you for responding! I think it has something to do with the temperature of the water as it starts about 20 - 30 minutes into the cycle. If I open the soap dispenser, it pours out. What alerted me to it was a loud crack noise that sounded like a stiff plastic cup being slammed on a concrete surface. Could not find the source of the noise and later found the water - I opened the soap dispenser at that time - and closed it again with all the water coming out and it made the same noise about 5 minutes later. I will contact them - I was just hoping that there would be a simple solution.
Maryam that’s really odd, but does sound like the temp of the water being dispensed may be too hot??I would double check the hot water temp on the hot water tank as a precaution to make sure it’s not set really high. As it could be a scalding risk. You don’t want to go below 120 degrees as it may not be hot enough to kill bacteria or anything in the water. But it sounds like something may have cracked or come loose from the temperature of the water? Defective unit? It could just be something was loose that’s the warmer temps broke loose, a clone to a hose, but best to check just to make sure the water isn’t getting too hot. Again this would be odd because they are designed to handle a bit of heat.
@@dissectingdiy The water from the house water heater is set low enough so that no one will burn themselves accidentally but in the washer, the sanitize cycle heats water to 165 F to kill germs or does a better job of killing germs. The washer has that as an option so should be able to function ok, but I think you are right that it does not seem to be able to handle the high temperatures.
Soooo I just found out the air gap is a thing. I’ve had a soapy water leak 2 times in a month. Both times I was washing something like a blanket and noticed lots of suds in the machine. Does anyone think my issues could be the air gap? When it has leaked it’s only been on one side of the drain pan, I can’t find any wet or marks anywhere on the front or under.
I’m good at fixing things but The washer is too heavy to move and see behind it😩 water leaking from the back I’m assuming . Had to shut the water valve off to it to stop from having a wet floors .. will figure it out.
So I identified my problem to be the drain pump. I took it apart, thinking maybe there was something that got stuck and prevented the pump to spin or something, but did not find anything on the suspected part, so it must be broken. I did pull out hairy fluff from the inner shaft of the other (circulation) pump that was working fine though. I swapped the pumps so that I would expect to have a faulty circulation pump, but functioning drain pump, then reassembled everything. Now I have a leak, and I have no idea where it comes from. I opened the machine and did not see any obvious place within the parts that I have touched, so I am quite puzzled. Is there something that I should have known about proper sealing of the pumps when I reattach them plus the assembly? In my head everything should be tight and snug and fine, but the water is telling me something else.
I tried to locate the leak today. It was impossible to look from the top of the machine so I tried to take off the back cover to have a look from there. Running water into the machine, I could not see any leaks. Running the circulation pump, nothing. Trying to drain, and the pump did not start. I waited for a few minutes and suddenly it bursted into action. The leak was coming from the gasket of the drain pump where it is attached to the assembly. I have now ordered a whole new double assembly with brand new pumps attached, so hopefully problem solved when it arrives.
@@roygalaasen sorry for the long turn around time. I’m not sure if I discussed in video but try putting cardboard under the washer to see where the water seems to be collecting. If that doesn’t work. I would go back through all the work. Any gasket should have a sealer put on it. And any hose connection should be cleared of any built up debris.
@@dissectingdiy I ended up opening the back cover and inspecting the pumps during the rinse and drain cycle. Turned up that the drain pump was not properly sealed after I swapped them. I decided to buy a whole new assembly since both pumps were shady anyway, and now the machine is working perfectly. Thank you for the suggestions.
Jayyy T.V When it’s plugged and the hoses are connected make sure there are no leaks. Once that’s done load your desired detergent into the detergent tray. Hit power and use normal option on select wheel.Select your desired temp. Then hit the start/play button on the right.
Linda Garcia the video you have requested has been uploaded to my channel. I haven’t done this in some time. Hence the fast turn around time on the video. Thanks for the reminder!
The seal can be tight. Take it easy when removing or you can crack it. If it leaks after putting back in clean around the housing for scale and grease with a gasket rated grease. I believe silicon is okay but double check. If the gasket is deteriorated you can get a new one.
I am looking for the tub-to-drain hose on Amazon but can't seem to find the one that fits my samsung model. Mine looks the same as yours. Could you share the link to the replacement hose you bought? Thanks!
I just found this video and found it helpful, thank you. Like a commenter below, mine is leaking but only intermittently. It is leaking from the bottom left side slightly closer to the front. My washer sits on a pedestal so the cardboard trick won't work for me. I've started wedging a few folded paper towels in the gap between the bottom of the washer and the pedestal before each load. After a load the paper towels are sometimes bone dry, other times soaked. I have cleaned the filter in the front. I do notice that a lot of water collects in the front rubber door seal. That area gets pretty grody pretty fast. When I pulled back the lower seal there was some disgusting gunk in there which I cleaned out. Any ideas on what my issue may be? (And my daughters are own in their late teens so I don't think baby socks are the culprit, lol)
Nancymeridian based on the description. The gasket under different temperatures can expand and contract. It can usually handle this no problem. But when it gets grimed up. It needs to be cleaned as any imperfections in the seal are only worsened through temperature swings. It sounds like you did this and I would clean the housing again where the gasket rests and clean the gasket itself. Then I would apply a gasket gel typically found at local hardware stores. However, typically if this is leaking you can see it coming right out the front. So it’s it’s unseen even when looking at the filter access port. Then it could be the pump. Typically this is a back up of some kind. These would be my initial steps for trouble shooting. While you have the filter port open. I would also feel around in the pump area. Wadded gum wrappers, or even large amounts of hair can sometime get stuck in there and cause an issue with the flow. If it still occurs further troubleshooting will be needed. It could be pump housing. Based on the description of the leak. These are my ideas around the issue.
@@dissectingdiy Thank you so much for taking the time to reply so quickly! I'll do a bit more cleaning and "reconnaissance" and see if I can get it resolved without having to call in a service tech.
Dis you figure out your ussue? Mine is the same. I took the back off and it seems to be only when water is running into the machine. It's coming from near the top back left
@@nickyhavens I ended up having a service tech come out. He seemed to think it was coming from the assembly where the soap is added. (The area that encloses the soap drawer.) He ordered a replacement part and that seemed to resolve the issue. HOWEVER it started leaking again a few weeks ago. At that point, given the age of the machine (nearly 10 years) we just decided to replace it with a new machine. I'm sorry I can't be more specific about what the tech did but after a year I can't remember it more clearly.
Ours ended up being an easy fix. It was the thicker hose that went from soap tray to the wash tub. It had started to crack so the water was leaking through at certian times of the cycle.
I need help 😭 So my washing machine shows leakage whenever the water starts to fill the washer with water. The leakage drips from above the filter area, (bottom left side) like just right above it. I don’t know what’s making it leaking. I cleaned out the detergent area and the door. But it keeps leaking so much. It comes from that area, idk if it’s one of the pipes that are attached to the rubber tho. Don’t you think? Do I need to tighten those small hoses or is there something else I can do? Pls help 🙏🏽
I would start by cleaning the gasket to the filter housing. And checking to make sure the drain tube is intact. After that you would need to check pipes leading to the filter.
I have a slightly different issue with my Samsung front load washer. I see no water leaks while the unit goes through the cycles. When completed, I open the door and I remove the clothes. Typically I leave the door open so that it cuts down on mildew, etc. It's when I open the door is when I see water dripping from the bottom of the door. Is there anything in/on the door itself that retains water and leaks from the bottom?
Mine is leaking at the soap dispenser...a drip falls from one of the tabs that holders the lid on. No obvious source of water so my only assumption is that one of the pumps is not shutting off water completely. It happens even when unplugged. Hoses are all fine. 😒
Question! Please help! Mother of 8 kids here! I do laundry daily and my washer is leaking right on the bottom corner where filter is. Ok I've checked filter and cleaned it out and it still is leaking. Now after every load (usually after final rinse) I turn main water lines off. And it won't leak. But if I leave water on it will sit there and leak non stop
Mikki Gardner do you wash small socks? Pump might be fighting to push one through causing pressure build up. Or the hose could be compromised. If you haven’t tackled it I would get a local service agent to service it. If you can pull it out and run a load and run a camera to see where the leak is and see if any water is actually draining from the hose that can be helpful in troubleshooting.
Mikki Gardner ok when I was washing small socks for my two little ones a sock got jammed in the pump. And it water was coming out the pump. Had to take it out. But I had to flip the whole thing and use a snake cam to find it. Is it coming from the filter itself or from the pump? Could be something as simple as a dirty gasket if from filter housing. Check for cracks as well. If it’s something simple like a dirty gasket. Can clean and use a Teflon or silicone based jelly to help lubricate and seal. Don’t use petroleum jelly as it can eat away at the rubber gasket. If you’re in a pinch go to Home Depot and in the filter section they’ll have replacement gaskets for the filter housing that includes the lubricant.
No !! You never never ever never never never use teflon tape or ptfe paste ( pipe dope) on connections where a rubber washer is used ( rubber washer in side female fitting of w.m. supply hose !!!)

I've been guilty of overdoing it with the bleach, and I think that lead to premature wear on the hoses.
They don't make em like they used to. Thanks for video.
Mine was leaking at the input valve behind the hose connections. Had to take off the top and run the cycle - it was obvious after that. The valve was easy to replace once I figured it out.
I never even would have thought to look there. Thanks for sharing I’m definitely going to add that to my troubleshooting of leaks down the road.
Dis yours only leak when water was being run into the machine? I took the back off and it seem to be dripping from somewhere on top near the hoses.
I’m going to buy you 100 puppies for this comment!!! That was my problem!!!🎉❤
I think there might be a baby sock stuck somewhere in my pan/drain hose like he mentions at 1:20. What do I do?
SnowManD you’re going to have to take the bottom hose off and check there first. If not. When the washer is empty of water and not plugged in. Tilt in its side. You will start at the pump and disconnect grey hose. Check the pump and the hose.
@3:10 you refer to screws that attach two tubes, where exactly are they located? Mine has a leak beneath the front load lid.. thanks!
Dissecting Diy thanks!
Muchas gracias por tu video ahora tengo una mejor idea de donde buscar la fuga de agua gracias
No hay problema, si tienes alguna otra pregunta, házmelo saber.
This helped alot!!! Thanks !!!
This is a great video. Thank you !
I’m having the same issue, please let me know if you discover the answer
I have the same washer, I slid a piece of cardboard under it like you mentioned. I ran a cycle and the leak I’m experiencing is in the middle (from left to right) of the washer about an inch back from the very front underneath it. It is not leaking down from the outside anywhere it seems to be coming from underneath. Any advice would be great.
after cleaning the filter, I have leak bottom right of the washer,, the small vent looking thing if you pass your finger under????
I’ve tried that. It doesn’t work.
@@dissectingdiy I have uploaded the video and it is in the "Shorts" section @MahlmeisterTV. Thanks for the help!
My leak was a sensor with a gasket at the bottom of the drum had come out , simple fix just remove sensor from gasket , replace gasket and push sensor back in.
do you mind telling me where the sensor is on the gasket? Im at my wits end lol

I have leaks coming out of the bottom I’m assuming that drain hose where can i get it
at 2:45 you mention if that is a leaking area will that present with water coming from the front face of the washer machine? Because i did the cardboard test and i have drips from the bottom front like directly under that area you mention at 2:45. but its underneath the machine? I dont see any tears though. What do you think?? advice on this is much appreciated!!!!
Never mind i found a rip in the bottom part of the boot seal!
Good luck.
Thank you!!!
My debris filter just refuses to come out. Even when I push in and turn counter clockwise it still won't budge..
They do get stuck and can break trying to get them out. Run a clean cycle. Hot after the cycle is completed start as if going to lead. Once the Pump drains turn it off. You can try then but be warned the water may still be not coming out. So do be careful.
Mine is leaking from the bottom, but it only happens every so often. Did yours do that as well or was it everytime the washer was used?
mokiepoet yes during heavy use it would leak.
So what was the problem?
check drain hose closely fill with water will help , hose 50 bucks often can tape repair. also motor tip if washer runs ok then fails then run again only to fail , pump motor magnet will crack replace pump motor 30 buck gl
Never buy a Samsung!
I’ve heard this a lot actually, had problems with their Dishwasher and a leak code. Fridge ice maker has been terrible as well.

My washing machine is leaking on the right front side, what can be ?
@@nandosmith9927 door or underneath?
I like your video.. I have a problem, how do I retrieve back the filter tube because I accidentally pushed it in. Am I supposed to open up the bottom of the washing machine to retrieve it?
There is a Phillips head screw holding a plastic cover around the filter. If you still cant get to it you may have to take the front off. sometimes you can reach it from under the machine just tilt it back
I cleaned out the drain filter and now the knob has water shooting out when I try to wash. What could be wrong?
Kenneth Johnson replace the white stopper that should be at the end of that drain hose. The only time that should be taken off is when you’re draining the washer to clean out the filter.
The knob to the drain filter gasket might not be seated correctly or could be dirty. Ensure the drain hose plug is reattached.
I put down cardboard due to a leak but it turns out it is intermittent. No leaks since I put the cardboard down 🙄
Mine is leaking from the white exhaust in the back right next to the incoming water hoses. Any ideas? It’s suds coming out.
My problem is , in detergent area water coming as shower but not in plumb so coming out side . Give the suggestion.
The hose drawer tub may be blocked. Or you could have too high a water pressure? Non High efficiency detergent resulting in foreign materials on the drawer. I would take the drawer out and inspect
I have the drawers underneath mine....crazy thing mine drawer where the handle is fills with water....so strange! Can you help?
Door leak?
I would clean the gasket and door around gasket for grime. Sounds like a hard to detect door leak.
Maryam good to hear. It does sound just like a faulty unit. Samsung is usually really good about getting someone out to fix it.
Great, I got a dryer stacked on top of mine
Soooo I just found out the air gap is a thing. I’ve had a soapy water leak 2 times in a month. Both times I was washing something like a blanket and noticed lots of suds in the machine. Does anyone think my issues could be the air gap? When it has leaked it’s only been on one side of the drain pan, I can’t find any wet or marks anywhere on the front or under.
Use HE detergents
I’m good at fixing things but The washer is too heavy to move and see behind it😩 water leaking from the back I’m assuming . Had to shut the water valve off to it to stop from having a wet floors .. will figure it out.
From the back. Was it from old hoses attached directly or the outlet where they connect?
@@dissectingdiy I can’t see. It’s up against the wall on all sides in a cubby
Can someone tell me how to start this thang plz?
Jayyy T.V When it’s plugged and the hoses are connected make sure there are no leaks. Once that’s done load your desired detergent into the detergent tray. Hit power and use normal option on select wheel.Select your desired temp. Then hit the start/play button on the right.

Where do you find the rubber piece for the washer
Rubber drain hose? Rubber door gasket? I grab a lot of the parts I need off Amazon. You need to ensure you have the right part number.
The first thing you showed was that little black tube, but I can't open mine and am wondering why. Could you show that?

Having a problem getting my filter out of my Samsung front load washer and getting it to screw back in
The seal can be tight. Take it easy when removing or you can crack it. If it leaks after putting back in clean around the housing for scale and grease with a gasket rated grease. I believe silicon is okay but double check. If the gasket is deteriorated you can get a new one.

Samsung DC97-15298A Washer Drain Hose

I need help 😭
So my washing machine shows leakage whenever the water starts to fill the washer with water.

Oh yeah I was a ton of small socks! I just cleaned everything out and am doing a load now and water is still puddling right on the side by filter
