You need a Musicman Cutlass and Spector NS-2 for Uplift Mofo and Mothers Milk, Wal for Blood Sugar, Alembic for One Hot Minute, Modulus Flea Bass for Californication and By The Way, Original ‘61 Jazz Bass for Stadium Arcadium. Live he’s used a vast array including yes the Musicman Stingray. His actual Fender Jazz Flea Signature active basses that he uses live, alongside his Modulus basses, have the Lane Poor pickups and Aguilar OBP-1 preamps (same as his Modulus Flea/Funk Unlimiteds) fitted not the stock ones that are fitted in the off the shelf signature models shown here. And one of his latest iterations has a humbucker pickup.

The slap part in Higher Ground isnt played correctly. It should be double slapped on the g and a notes. It's just enough to stick out and bug me

Hey, they listened to my suggestion to get a drummer!, well maybe it was coincidence, lol But the reason why they should continue to have this guy for all the sound likes, is that it's the sound with a full band that matters and there can be a difference!
