i bought one of those table top ovens for my grandparents a few years ago .. they love it as don't have to bend down .. but i'd never thought of using one for powdercoating .. nice one
Martin, love the Retrohax channel, your right about the algorithms a lot of the Diecast car restoration channels have seen big drops in revenue according to socialblade. You just have to keep plugging away it might go back up at some point.
I used a second hand oven that I was given, the first few jobs smelt of food despite a good clean. All the best and I look forward to more great videos

Martin, I had a standard kitchen oven given to me because they said it wasn't working correctly. Well I manage to get it fixed and working perfectly (a bad solder connection on the power relays) and that is my powder coat oven along with a smaller toaster oven as well. So unless I get an ATV or motorcycle frame to powder coat, I'm covered with powder coating now. I know I talked to you before about printing colored decals and such. But how are you printing vinyl decals with white. I am in real need to use white lettering on some old 6 gallon boat metal gas tanks. And I have been needing to know how to make such white letter decals... Thumbs Up for you remodeling shop!
As you know, Gary, you can't print white with a standard home printer but you basically buy white sticker vinyl and the white in your images comes from the white vinyl.

He ask a good question about what the difference between a convencional oven and a powder coating oven. What I found out is the main difference is how the coating is cured. Thought that a fun fact.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Bison. We get so attached to our pets and love then dearly which makes the departure so much more painful to bear. Our cat has major tumours, just diagnosed, so we are preparing ourselves for the inevitable unfortunately. All the best for 2020.

Sorry to hear of your dog m8, I lost one of my cats last year and he went down fast from cheeky chirpy to being put to sleep in so many short hours, he sits with me on my desk in his little casket as I had him cremated and then when its my turn in the hole in the ground he's coming with me. I also lost my oldest one, 17 years but he went off gently and hes buried in the grass by where my Reliant is parked. We had 7 at one point, down to four now, as the ones here grow old they won't be replaced as it gets harder each time.
I have vowed to try and turn some of these fancy watches into a powder coating set and oven, daughter is OK with it if I move on stuff like the case of broken Wii's, the tea chest of matchbox cars, the stuff I started to do then lost interest in. Also going to let go of some of the cheaper tools consolidating the quality stuff into one tool stacker. I am looking to make a jeweller's tool tidy as I have tweezers, pliers, twenty different screwdrivers, presses, lifters, files which for now I have made a tidy out of an old Coffee Mate tin but its not the best option for such precision stuff, also getting one of them posher ultrasonic's as the cheapo one I got is useless as I keep having to stick the pulser on the bottom bit, cheap Chinese tat for the lose :( The '58 Lambretta is getting outed too and prob the Reliant and use the money to get my Vespa back up and restored.
You can always put a couple of cornish pasties in to warm while waiting for Sharon to make you a pot of tea😂🤐 Sorry to hear about Bison your lovely Rottie ...I know how hard its is when the time comes.

I had a bit of trouble with my small powder coating oven, one of the hinges snapped inside so had to tie it shut with a strap. My Mum came up trumps at Christmas and give me some money to buy a bigger 65 litre built in oven, which just sits on the work top. I am hoping to powder coat the Suffolk Punch with it. I just about got ready to start the colt but the fuel tap leaked and so did the carb, so that was that paint ruined. I am just waiting for some new paint and fuel tap. Once again I am very sorry about Bison. Jeff

I am working on a new spray area. The powders are not toxic but you still should use a mask as no type of powder should be breathed in. The powder at the moment is just vented to outside but I have a filter media I will be using. There's not much powder as you are spraying at about 5-8 psi, an average spray can is pressurized to about 90 psi hence a large overspray cloud.
Hello Martin, Happy new year to you, Sharon & family, Another great video, for what it’s worth... my opinion on the RUclips is thus, as in most cases in life now, everybody needs to have things NOW including FAME. The young uns are not interested in serving your time like yourself and me, if they think they can fire up a RUclips channel, become a “star” get money and fame quickly for essentially doing nothing that’s what they’re gonna do. It’s in everyday life like X factor and it’s clones. Keep on doing your videos as you do. Because there are many like yourself “ having a go” and when they get a problem you may have also had similar and overcome it, when you share it, that’s how we all learn, there will be plenty jumping on the climate bandwagon now with re use / re cycle , stick in kid we’ve already been doing that for years..... some of us make great videos about it 👍🏻
Sorry to hear that Bison quickly got worse. I know what an awful wrench it is when the time comes. I enjoy the content on all your channels, it's very inspiring, livestream included, I've lost the excuse to sit on me arse for a while on a saturday now.😉 Anyway, great video, very tempted to set up for powdercoating once i've found some room. All the best for this year, perhaps channel views will pick up now that people are no longer busy with Christmas preparations.

Should get your self a 12v china diesel heater for your work shop mate , I have one in my work shop and it works really well nice and toasty 👍😁
I have a Calor Gas heater that warms it up nicely.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Bison. We get so attached to our pets and love then dearly which makes the departure so much more painful to bear. Our cat has major tumours, just diagnosed, so we are preparing ourselves for the inevitable unfortunately. All the best for 2020.

Sorry to hear of your dog m8, I lost one of my cats last year and he went down fast from cheeky chirpy to being put to sleep in so many short hours, he sits with me on my desk in his little casket as I had him cremated and then when its my turn in the hole in the ground he's coming with me. I also lost my oldest one, 17 years but he went off gently and hes buried in the grass by where my Reliant is parked. We had 7 at one point, down to four now, as the ones here grow old they won't be replaced as it gets harder each time.
I have vowed to try and turn some of these fancy watches into a powder coating set and oven, daughter is OK with it if I move on stuff like the case of broken Wii's, the tea chest of matchbox cars, the stuff I started to do then lost interest in. Also going to let go of some of the cheaper tools consolidating the quality stuff into one tool stacker. I am looking to make a jeweller's tool tidy as I have tweezers, pliers, twenty different screwdrivers, presses, lifters, files which for now I have made a tidy out of an old Coffee Mate tin but its not the best option for such precision stuff, also getting one of them posher ultrasonic's as the cheapo one I got is useless as I keep having to stick the pulser on the bottom bit, cheap Chinese tat for the lose :( The '58 Lambretta is getting outed too and prob the Reliant and use the money to get my Vespa back up and restored.

Happy New year to you both, I'm so sorry to hear about Bison, he seemed to have plenty of energy in him in your live stream around Christmas.
I had a bit of trouble with my small powder coating oven, one of the hinges snapped inside so had to tie it shut with a strap. My Mum came up trumps at Christmas and give me some money to buy a bigger 65 litre built in oven, which just sits on the work top.
I am hoping to powder coat the Suffolk Punch with it.
I just about got ready to start the colt but the fuel tap leaked and so did the carb, so that was that paint ruined. I am just waiting for some new paint and fuel tap.
Once again I am very sorry about Bison.

love your youtube channels, also love your powder coating vids I have one question on your system, that is with your coating system how do you catch the overspray and what type of filter do you use animals are great to have around and i am sorry about bison all the best for 2020 and I look forward to more videos
I am working on a new spray area. The powders are not toxic but you still should use a mask as no type of powder should be breathed in. The powder at the moment is just vented to outside but I have a filter media I will be using. There's not much powder as you are spraying at about 5-8 psi, an average spray can is pressurized to about 90 psi hence a large overspray cloud.

Another great video, for what it’s worth... my opinion on the RUclips is thus, as in most cases in life now, everybody needs to have things NOW including FAME. The young uns are not interested in serving your time like yourself and me, if they think they can fire up a RUclips channel, become a “star” get money and fame quickly for essentially doing nothing that’s what they’re gonna do. It’s in everyday life like X factor and it’s clones. Keep on doing your videos as you do. Because there are many like yourself “ having a go” and when they get a problem you may have also had similar and overcome it, when you share it, that’s how we all learn, there will be plenty jumping on the climate bandwagon now with re use / re cycle , stick in kid we’ve already been doing that for years..... some of us make great videos about it 👍🏻

Happy new year Martin, I purchased the Electro Static Magic Easy Coat for Christmas BTW the wife says you could be bad for my health 😂. I haven’t tried it yet although I have also purchased a oven and ready to go, would you recommend using the oven without the fan assist as I’m unsure, I would really appreciate the advice, cheers Martin.
I don't think it really matters bud. The little one has a fan in but my big one doesn't and it works fine.
I'd love to set up my own system but to buy the kit and ship it to Australia makes it too expensive. I'm jealous.
