mus>c is great, hope you solved popping you need to somehow reser all sound stuff, clear sound cahes etc. try changing frequencies baack and forth in sound devices control panei. the same thing happened with youtube for me watching video. its like clipping, something got crossfiled type of thing. the popping was in perfect sync when you firstgot up from chair. ythe noise canceling opened up and the ambiant air overdrove the spuakers. in digital sound going into red on meter equals garranteed distotion. some irregularity is overdriving the mic when noise canceling opens allowing you to be heard. thats why when you mute there is no poping as you stated i read this sort of thing somewhere , not a hardware issue. happy trails!

I got popping when the BASS on My Headphones was turned UP - Turn down the BASS Control on the Headphones - Mine disssapeared
