The losing keeper watched the winning shot go in, zero protest, picks his water bottle up takes a few steps and realizes his teammates are yelling so he starts 🤣🤣🤣
And i like how the players from half were able to see where his foot was. The ref seemed pretty fair and both accounts, just a shitty penalty shot that decided it.
The irony of someone who doesn't know the rules telling someone else that they don't know the rules.
Ref had a great game. Good comms and clearly pointed out his expectations. It's a bit difficult to keep the feet on the line with the low crossbar but he clearly told them he was relaxing the foot rule a bit because of the curved goal line. The guy in black......shut up man.
Broooo, the kid in the black shirt cracked me up. Played zero minutes, didn’t know what he was talking about and was still amped up enough for his whole team lol

Foot has to stay on the line when the ball is kicked…he can then launch himself after that to the ball. I think the blue team’s keeper was a half a second early…very hard to see in real time. Grey team’s keeper was waaaaay off by comparison.

Feel like the ref called a good game, tough call on the last penalty but all imma say is that the gray teams keeper was RIGHT THERE by the ref & didn’t say a single word….till of course his teammates starting making claims 🥴🤣
Ref pointed out the goal line was bowed so he allowed it for both keepers a little leeway on the line. Final report imo the ref was spot on all penalties and told the keepers each time if they saved it he was gonna recall it. Final save was spot on with the leeway.

This is about the fourth game of this ref that I have seen. He is really good. Wish they were all like this. The games would be much cleaner. Great control of the game. UPDATE-I got to the very last penalty goal…and I don’t understand that call. Goalie was clearly off the line.

But also remember that the line curves into the goal. I love the confidence of this ref. I just wish he'd give more cards for the language and dissent
actually he was on the line. the rule is 1 foot on the line AT THE POINT OF CONTACT. so he can lift his foot off the line before it reaches him.

Ref was great all game. I will say I think the final kick, the keeper WAS off the line. Should have been redone. Honestly should have 2 refs for semi final and final matches like this.
It’s so hard in the moment to call that it happens in about .5 seconds
I paused it exactly at the moment that it was kicked. His leg that he ended up making the save with was hovering about an 3 inches above the line but was over the line. Although this technically makes it an illegal save, referees are generally instructed to give about 6 inches of leeway when not using VAR because of flash lag effect.

Very bad ref. Everyone saying good ref just wanted to see the young lads lose. The secret to winning is having the red on your side because they will always make calls for your favor.
@@ok8171 wouldnt go as far as to call him bad ref, he did good in the game was fair mostly, but on the pk i can challenge anyone to find any goalie who keeps one foot on the line in any competition any level, you cant its impossible when you trying to get power in your legs to jump. None of the pks did either keep have a leg in the line when they jumped. He made too much of it . Why count the ones they missed and not the ones they made? If their feet of the line then it should always be replayed. The point is the rule is dumb
@@ok8171 Nah he's a very good ref. Seen him in a few videos and he doesn't get a huge amount wrong. Can't say he's a bad ref just because he missed a few bits.
The grey team is gonna watch this replay and see that the ref was right. Dude was maybe half an inch off the line, while their goalie was off legit a foot and a half.

Considering calling any keeper off the line has been ignored for decades, even with the rule changes,it's still ignored.
Has to be ridiculously obvious to call.

Same thing as calling 6 seconds. The pros abuse that rule. Heck, the complaints about Canada's keeper was aimed at the ref by everyone in the sport.

Yeah, didn't need to slow down anything, obviously had good back foot on the line, the foot way in front doesn't matter, you need one foot on the line.

@@maselm Not at all, consistency is key and he mentioned to the keepers about the goal line being curved and giving them leeway about it. So he communicated the issue directly, what is crazy about it?
