Maybe for a giveaway, if you wanted to give away a pair of socks you knitted, you could do a drawing and then the winner could give you their measurements/shoe size afterwards so you can make the socks to those measures? If you wanted to make it even more custom to the person, maybe you could even pick a couple of different yarn options and have the winner choose between them? Then you could send the pair to the person when you have them done. If that's too complicated though, I don't see why you couldn't just pick out a prize and then whoever wants it enters and whoever isn't interested just doesn't participate, like any other giveaway.

Sport weight and DK socks are the best gift knit! I actually don’t mind the inconsistent uploads at all :) just happy to check in on your sock journey!

I just found your channel because I'm currently addicted to knitting socks... but definitely not as addicted as you! You are DEDICATED! You mentioned how Judy's Magic Cast On is difficult on DPNs - if you haven't tried magic loop (I haven't seen your other videos, so I'm not sure if you always use DPNs) you should!! It makes toe up sock cast-ons super simple and actually really fun!

Your theory that the color changes the price makes sense. Especially when you said that cobalt was the most expensive since blue is the most expensive pigment to get.

i was excited to see your video in my feed! i recently made the dk socks by crazy sock lady, and had the exact same thought about converting all my holiday sock knitting to dk. so quick!

Crazy Sock Lady has such great tutorials! I always go for the thinnest yarn I can (I did the same when I started with crochet, went with very fine lace for my first project 😅), but for gifts or anything with a deadline it's definitely more practical to go with thicker yarns.

Try a turkish cast on. It was a game changer for me and toe-up socks.

whenever you start to knit a pair of socks, you ( in my world of knitting *smile* ) always start both pair up at the same time, and if you do not want to shift from the 1st pair of sock needles to the second pair of sock needles, you can have both socks on the same circular needle it's very easy
and you do not get the second sock syndrom, as they are finished at the same time 😉
just some advice from an incredibly old Lady from Denmark
stay safe 🙏and keep those videos coming you are an awesome Young Lady with a profound sense of humor😘

Tried this method. Hated it. I'd rather enjoy the process of knitting one at a time on short circulars.

Currently working on 2 pair(4 socks) on 40" circulars (size 1) and it is definitely my preferred method - finish at the same time and always the same size.

Simple way to do a giveaway is to pick out anyone who has that size, get there email address and say "hey, here is your gift" and the email can be a private way to get their home address. By the way I wear size 7, 7 and a half woman's shoes. Not that I want the socks or anything. I just love the way they look.

Great idea for knitting your way through the book. What is the name of the consignment store that you shopped for your yarn? I'm looking for to seeing your progress.

This may be late but as someone who’s wanting to learn to do socks this year maybe for a giveaway do a gift card for a shop for sock yarn so someone can pick the colors they want

Well done! Just a thought... if you are going to the bother of doing a forethought heel, why not just knit the heel in when you get to it. I will never do forethought or afterthought heels unless I am doing a sock tube from a CSM. When I bind off at the cuff, I want the sock to be DONE (other than weaving in ends). I don't get SSS, but I get the whole "I want this one done syndrome."

First video I've watched of yours. I like it! Unfortunately, the occasional language will probably mean I don't continue to watch other videos. It's a shame because I enjoyed everything else. Oh well. I'm just sharing my thoughts as a transient viewer. You don't need to change.
