- So my Huion graphic tablet Model- HS64 pen stopped working one day but to my luck the tablet was under warranty & I got the pen replaced but the old pen was with me so I tear it down to find the problem & the solution to that problem but still the pen is not working if anyone have more solutions please reply in comment.
Bro when you glued back the ferrite rod (carbon rod as u mentioned ) the glue acted as an insulator which literally divided the ferrite rod into two parts. Since the ferrite rod influence the inductance of the coil, you unknowingly changed the inductance of the coil thus the pen stopped working. These are my assumption based on electronics knowledge

I did the same today..... Now It is working Properly... I use the glue two side of the out side Surfus of the rod....

Hola, antes que nada, perdón por la respuesta tardía ... lo que puede hacer es tratar de calentar la junta con un secador de pelo, ya que está pegada, tendrá que usar un poco de aire caliente para derretir la misma y luego hacer el tira con los dos pulgares empujándose uno al otro en sentido opuesto... con suerte funcionará... difunde el amor...

Thank you for this video! I really couldn't figure out what was wrong with my pen, since I didn't really know how to open it. Although I probably won't be able to fix my problem - the carbon tube thing broke in half :( - I could find out what it was thanks to you! :)

Great guide, thanks! My nib was loose so I thought maybe I would be able to fix it with your video. Turns out all I needed to do is enlarge nib's bottom part by slightly pushing toothpick through it's hole and put it back (without taking it apart). But thanks to you I managed to dis(re)assemble my pen without damaging any part.

Can you elaborate on how you did the toothpick thing? I think i have the same issue as you
@@pigeon445 Don't remember, it's been two years. But I assume you need to take your nib out (with or without disassembling) and push toothpick or whatever from its bottom part to make it's "wings" spread a little more, so it properly fixates to whatever it needs to when you put it back.

He reassembled the rubber and spring in the wrong order; the rubber should not be on top of the spring; instead, they should be together, with the spring on top of the rubber. I know this because I tried it, and the sensitivity and hardness of the pen pressure were messed up as a result, making it feel unnatural.
Vid is like 2 yr old, so can't remember... 😅... But as I remember the reassembled was done as it was opened in the first place... Still people can try if they want to.. n thx for pointing out.

That piece that looks like carbon is actually a ferrite rod, not carbon. It increases the inductance of the coil that's used to receive power to the pen. It's the same material that's used in the old AM radio antennae inside of clock radios and such.

@@theringtoner-mtpg_mtrg7679 Thanks :). Also given it's location in the assembly, it looks to me like that part is also what's used to "read" the pressure level of the tip. As you press harder it moves that ferrite rod in and out slightly changing the coil's inductance. This change can be measured and converted to a digital signal that is used to determine the pressure level. Similar to how your phone's screen uses changes in capacitance to know where you're touching.

would his being "cracked" be a good reason for the pen no longer working? If so, is there a "hack" that would get it functional?
My ferrite rod broke into 2 parts. How can I fix it?
This worked somewhat for my 517. I just followed along but I couldn't get the chip out fully, different models and what not. Figured I'd try to use it again and low and behold it works now.

Thank you so much for this, you are a life saver. I couldn't do the first step, it was hard for my small hands so I used a cutter to cut open the lower part of the pen. The wire inside was broken so I attached it and it worked! I just super glued the carbon back to it's place and done!

@@_leilorenzo I used a cutter then cut through the carbon but you have to be careful though you might hurt yourself or damage something inside
@@_leilorenzo you can just heat a bit from the joint with the candle which will help u loose the glue, then u can use the 2 thumb method to pull the same.🙂

the wire got unplugged from the soldered spot. now how can I put it back? is soldering the only option?
Yes... U will have to solder back that's the only option... The coil is the one generating electricity for the pen to work via induction...

I held a screwdriver of the same size under blue lighter fire for over 5 minutes, but it couldn't even burn through paper. What am I doing wrong?

No shipping is needed as they will be providing you with a amazon coupon in accordance to your country (EG mine was India so I got code for amazon India) you just have to use the code & the amt of the same will go to ur amazone pay which u can use to buy the under warranty replacement... :D do share..

@@ashutoshsuman9473 they were charging me the same but then I told them how it was costing me more to get it shipped from them then the actual price of a new one (the whole device which I bought from Aliexpress sale) & to this they agreed but still I paid Rs.500 (6.74 USD) god knows for what !! have you got any reccomendations for how to split the pen apart easier becuase i have the pen for the h430p and its really hard to pull apart
The first time it is hard as the parts are glued together.. but a swift pull usually dose the trick.. u can try to apply pressure b rotating one part clockwise & the other counter clock, Don't try to rotate full as it will break just a little squeeze to make the glue loose & use the thumb push method IE grab the 2 side with finger & push the thumb opposite to each other as shown in vid moreover you can try to heat the joint using a hot air gun as it will make the glue melt a bit (make sure not to over do it as u might melt the plastic) hope u get it rit :D

i cannot open my huion 610 v2 pro tablet pen by using your pull out method, it's very strongly glued together what can I do?
The pens are basically the same (as seen online). You can try heating it a bit more until you feel the plastic get soft and warm. The method will be more or less the same.

Don't glue it.. I had used siper glue but some how it was making interference with the coil & thus it didn't work.. now what I was wondering was to use carbon stick (the one which you usually find in DC motor) & try to round it out but the tricky part is that how to drill a hole in it... 🤔 & Sorry for being late in replying 😅

omg, thank you so much, apparently, the carbon or ferrite rod thing is broken in half for me... uh, do you know where I can get a new one? I searched for some on amazon but they don't seem to have a hole in the centre of them, and Im not sure if they're small enough for the pen. idk :((

Its glued together.. u have to heat it a little ... me eing from India its already too hot..😅.. so try some heat-gun or hair dryer...hope it helps...

As far as I know.... The technology used in all the graphic tablet pen (working without battery) is the same induction technology.. so if u have any spare pen lying around of your old graphic tablet u can harvest spares from that otherwise I don't think that the carbon is readily available for purchase at any sites except AliExpress... U can try on that if u want to... 😊

Nice que.. but this pen don't have battery they work on the EMR (Electro-Magnetic Resonance) tech.. its like the Qi wireless charges people use for charging mobile phone, more info below..

I followed each step exactly but it made it worse.. It used to just have a hover problem (pen keeps on drawing even while just hovering) but now it doesn't work at all!
That means the carbon was already broken IE why the pen kept writing while in hover mode as well...cause that was the same issue with my other pen... The nib just stuck in & then I habe to manually pull the nib out to make it stop writing...& Sorry I was not able to help...
What brand of super glue did you use to glue the ferrite rod back?
You can use any glue but it should be quick drying.😇
I'm having huge issue with my H610PRO V2 pen, it literally just stucks on one key. I can't open it for some reason
the pen is basically the same.. try the thumb puling method I have explained below.. & try heating the pen from the middle while slightly twisting both part opposite to each other as that will help loosing the glue.
Am having issues with my pen. Is not detecting on my system for some while now but I don't know how to do it am scared. I don't mind if you can do a short video on how to repair it

No there is no battery... Its a battery free pen... Works with induction technology.. like your mobile gets charge wirelessly...
my huion pen working start in air without tablet touch so tell me what the issue how i fix this?
the issue might be the location of the coil in the pen it might dislocated so the pen starts working in the mid air while is suppose to start to get power when its near the tablet (Close Proximity) to generate power is it working on the tablet I mean are you able to write anything with it ?
