Beautiful trip to Alaska, great seeing Sarah give the girls rides on the dog sleds. Wonderful seeing Austin catch the big stingray. It’s so funny, that one of the other fishing shows, caught a stingray,cleaned it just like you did, but did not batter it. They just seasoned it and fried it in a little oil. Then proclaimed it the worst tasting fish they had ever eaten. They literally spit it out into the trashcan. But you are also the second person I’ve seen who proclaimed it as “delicious “! It certainly looks delicious! Alaska is beautiful!
Yeah I would say Everglades is delicious. Not every fish. The freshness also ive found is the most important part of the flavor you'll get

I've bought skate and made it with browned butter and it was very good. What Robert did here seems like such a great idea!
@@deermeatfordinner skate meat is very similar to halibut, a whole lot of different from the stingray meat which has much nitrogen in the skin, and if you don't cut off the wings right after you catch it, the nitrogen releases in the meat, and the taste is nasty!

Skate! Haha I’ll never forget we never caught one and that’s all my brother talked about wanting to catch and sure as can be we can’t halibut and rock fish without catching a skate.

I know that hurt like hell when Sarah fell, no matter how much she played it off, cuz that is what has been ingrained in her at a young age.. if the girls fall they are closer to the ground.. Alaska is such a beautiful place... Most ppl would leave the kids at home when they go in trips, but you guys always include the girls, making those memories. I can parts remember our summer vacations from when I was their age. Austin and Jordy are such a great addition to the family, love seeing them on the other side of the camera... need own weekly series of Austin doing Austib stuff with you filming

I have seen a couple spots where the capt reaved the engines and pulled halibut to the surface. We were picking Halibut out and site casting to them. We normally call those skate.

Man watching these videos from Alaska make me so nostalgic, from 4 to 11 I lived in Fairbanks and Anchorage because my dad was stationed up there and these videos make me realize what an incredible childhood I had, we had a boat and a camper so we’d take weekend trips to Seward and 4th of July trips to Homer and just enjoy life and fish and hunt and do all of the incredible things that Alaska has to offer, living in Louisiana now I’ve come to realize what an opportunity it was to live and breathe Alaska
I love watching a good catch and cook right out there in the wild but I found that I also enjoy watching the bonding that you do with the girls doing the cooking right in your own kitchen in most of your videos. You are definitely a great dad and it's awesome to see you always involving the family in your adventures so that they can all enjoy the experience and learn as well. I said it before and Ill say it again, them little girls are going to grow up and be so well rounded because of you guys.

I’ve been on the neah bay fishing trip for halibut 3 times from New York. Awesome trip
