      Wish I could have found those! That’s what I was targeting Saturday. I’ll never turn down a school of top slot red though!

    Very nice. I’ve scoured that area multiple times and have never pulled the plug and went. My mistake.

    Hey, nice video. I actually just moved to oak island recently and bought my first fishing kayak. Im ready to start learning how to kayak fishing around oak island. I have a question, is there an area around oak island you recommended a beginner to put in to fish? Also do you see many alligators? Thanks

      Welcome to the area! A good place to start would be the 31st st kayak launch. I would focus on high tide as it’s pretty shallow back there. I also like around varnamtown…check out those videos for spots. Haven’t seen an gators around there but I have around Southport. I’m sure they’re out there but my experience is that they leave you alone. Worst case smack em with ur paddle.

    What test line were you using?

    • @meistershyster
      @meistershyster  Месяц назад

      20lb flouro…under normal conditions this is more than enough but the fish were wrapping around the pilings causing the line to break.

    Everyone trying to be a content creator fishing for a like share and follow. This is the reason fishing is on the decline everywhere. Just think about what you’re doing showing the world one structure at a time. most do this for fun as a hobby. People like my self and mothers do this for a living and videos like this just burn spots up. Pretty work!

      Hi Britt! Thanks for your feedback. I received some similar feedback from another fisherman from this area. I plan to adjust my editing a bit to be a little less candid in future videos. It’s hard with the 360 video and only having one angle to film from. That said, I plan to do my best not to show the areas that I come across that hold good fish. At the same time, I want to show the work and time involved in finding fish. So it will be a balance. Sorry if I blew up one of your spots. Thank you for watching and for constructive feedback. The other gentlemen threw threats at me right off the bat. That’s why I really appreciate you, your comment, and the whole fishing community. ❤️
