  • The Marine Plywood stern on this 1965 O’Day javelin sailboat was soft and rotten. The way the boat is made exposes plywood end grain to the weather. Coosa is more expensive than marine plywood, but it is impervious to water and rot. The Coosa board is also lighter and stronger than plywood. For a novice, the job was fairly easy. The end result was a strong waterproof repair.
