  • Exploring the Valens Aquaduct Bridge next to Fatih's Aviation Park. This 1 km bridge is a section of the longest Roman Aquaduct that was ever built to feed Rome's New Capital, Constantinople (located in modern day Istanbul). The Valens Aquaduct was completed in 378 AD during the reign of the Roman Emperor Valens and had a total length of 453 km. It is absolutely amazing that this aquaduct bridge is still standing today in it's grand Roman beauty and glory 1650 years after it was completed.
