I've been a huge fan of the Japan Team theme songs for their heroic, badass tunes which get you hyped up for a fight, but I actually like this rendition of Esaka. It's different from the typical Esaka tracks and has a more chilled, upbeat tune focusing on the fun loving side of the heroes

Russ I played the arcade version then when I bought it on PS1 I got used of the arranged version. This was the game I'd cut class to go play in the 11th grade. OMG I'm old.. 😭
timotius It's one of my favorite KOF game BGMs as well. I honestly did not know that the PlayStation port of KOF '95 actually had a soundtrack released for it in Japan for that version's soundtrack.
This entire soundtrack brings back so many childhood memories. I remember playing this game everyday before and after school, along with Tekken and Battle Arena Toshinden but, this will always be my favorite KOF. Btw, whoever created this track definitely was listening to some old school adult films haha
Love how for the team's art, Shinkiro could have had Kyo posing in a heroic battle-ready stance like Beni and Goro behind him, but instead he just has his hands in his pockets looking smug
The poster for kof 95 was so good..I remember our arcade had a massive one with the front shot of Kyo throwing the shiki orochinagi…no other game had such art, music and a dynamic gameplay with supers and high supers and an interesting meter gauge..can u imagine kof 95 had dodge parry at that time

94 and 95 were somewhat lighter in tone but 96 is when the lore definitely got a little darker while still embracing the ridiculousness
