    I use an old copper 2 pence piece coin, the new ones are steel now here in the UK

    You can do it this way and with the grinding I would weld the back side because the side that the copper or brass is on is pretty smooth. I think for time wise you may be better off building simple panels rather than welding up swiss cheese

      Demonstration purposes yes weld both sides if you didn't get a solid bead and a thin skim of bog good as a plate any day mate if you would like me to do a video on bending and welding plates / panels in let me know cheers
