By any chance do you know where is located the Laser Unit on a hll9310cdw? or why the pages I print on it come out colorless kind of vanished only on the sides, the middle is perfect but the sides are totally bad, what can i do? I have clean everything the drum, the fuser, change the cartdiges, and nothing. there are 4 laser units. if the problem is related to all colors the problem could be the transfer unit

@@viandant5 Hi, thanks for answer, I found the laser unit, clean it, and didn't do the trick, So the problem I had in the beggining was faded sides on the printed page, I bought the drum cilinders anda changed them, but instead of helping start making the prints horrible, with grey smears lines, and marks... so i end up hanging again the drum cilinders for the old ones and inmediately started printing ok bue with the fafed sides.. Any ideas??

Hello, I've cleaned my drum unit and belt unit and replaced the toner cartrige. I did it outside to use an air compressor to clean the units, but now I've some horizontal band on every prints, wirh about 9,5 cm spacing. I'm afraid that the drums are damaged because they have been exposed to sunlight. Is there any chance to recover with time ? Is it possible to replace only the drums, and not the drum unit?
    Thanks

I think it's not a sun light proiblem. Check each he drum if there is a horizontal line and try to clean it with isopropyl alcohol

@@viandant5 Hi viandant, thanks for your reaction. I already cleaned the drums with isopropil alcool, but no improvement. Problem is mostly visible on colored surfaces, white areas remains white, printing only text is also OK. I reinstalled the old toners to give a try, same issue. I definitely think it is an issue with the drums, they must have been damaged by sunlight. I see no other explanation :-(

@@geoffreycallens8050 9.5 cm is almost sure on of the drums. is the horizontal band white? the drums can be damaged by the sun light if exposed for several hours

@@viandant5 No, it is not white bands, the colors are not homogeneous. Unfortunatelt, I cannot post a picture here, it would be more obvious.
