    Good advice. Your camera operator missed some stuff, so I took photos as I went to remember where everything came from.
    I replaced the film and roller; now print quality is excellent.

    Thank you so much! Just replaced mine today because of your video! It works all great again! One thing is I lose that spring on the right. But I didn’t see it being important so I assembled it back fully without it and it works fine. Thank you again

      The spring is supposed to help with a build up of static electricity generated by the roller, grounding charges. Just be mindful that there could be some damage to the circuitry eventually.

    Thank you so much. after removing fuser assembly and powering on I automatically got a message saying diagnosing please wait 15 minutes. upon reboot it gave error code "Print Unable 6a". Thought it was a bad fuser so i put original back in and still got same message. I ended up removing the logic board where the two connectors plug into from fuser. found both connectors were loose and had my buddy solder those connectors back and error went away. So point being be careful when removing the two connectors when removing fuser. I was very careful yet still had issues.

    Used this video to figure out how to disassemble the fuser on HL-L8260CDW. This kind of examples are invaluable.
    Now I need to find replacement fuser tube though as the old one is practically fused with sticker paper.. Any advice/ resources on how to figure out correct parts? The fuser as far as I can figure out is LY0379-001

      @@303electronics My only critique would be to insert a section about reassembling everything. I've got a piece here I can't remember where it goes, so I'm trying to reverse-engineer where it came from. An hour later, no luck so far :(

    • @faelanae
      @faelanae 4 года назад

      @@303electronics argh. Maybe you can help me? I've searched everywhere and I have no idea where this part came from. It's part # LY5268 and it's an uncomplicated piece of plastic. I set it aside during disassembly and now I can't figure out where it goes back to. Do you have any idea? Thanks in advance!

    • @303electronics

    • @faelanae
      @faelanae 4 года назад +1

      @@303electronics found it. It's part of the fuser unit, and you can see it clearly here: ruclips.net/video/VUx5X8kH7cQ/видео.html it's the piece that helps feed the paper in between the rollers. I'd put the screws back, so I didn't notice that's where the piece was supposed to go.

    Good morning team 303 Electronics, I would like to thank you for your guidance as it has shown good results so far, it happens that after 3 cleans and lubrications of the fuser the golden metal plate, just below the film is very worn and need to change. Do you have the code for this part or where we can buy it?

    Do you know how to change the laser unit on a L-HL6200 DW? I can't find any video on how to do that and Brother was no help.

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  4 года назад +2

      I have this video of how to take apart HL-2240 which is a smaller printer, but laser unit is located in the same area. You may need to remove a couple more screws on HL-L6200, but the concept is very similar.

I need to get to the electrical power board to check for damages, maybe a fuse or something, but I don't know how to open the panels to get there. Can you show me how to do it, or somebody else can help me with this issue. Thanks in advance,

    Replace the metalic fusing film with the new fuser film from Brother L5500. The metalic film is crap , it fails at maximum 20-30K printed pages because of poor lubrification. The new fuser film solved this by using a non-metalic heat transfer film witch you can easy adapt to old fusers .

    Following the instructions, but having a horrible time removing the white and black wires at the back of the unit. I keep "tugging gently" and all they do is wiggle in place and look to me like I'm going to break something. Is there a trick to it? Are they attached in a way where I can pry them loose without damaging anything?

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  3 года назад +1

      Those wires are wrapped around little plastic tabs. Don't pull hard, you will damage them. Gently find the way of the wire and unwrap it.
