Hi, my customer's Xerox Phaser 6510 is printing fine the first few pages, afterwards the toner doesn't seem to bond to the paper, does the fuser need to be replaced or do i adjust the temparature? thx
@@viandant5 i replaced the toner thinking it was it, since there's a lot of toner residue on the paper once a few pages print, the first few pages come out fine, after it starts degrading :( there are toner spots on the paper and images comes out very bad, same in black and color. I'm tempted to say the fuser doesn't heat enough after a few pages..

It's not the printer driver for sure, how can they told it? Check if there are foreign objiects along the paper path, check the paper finger where the paper go out from the printer. it could be a fuser problem, check if the fuser rollers are clean
I have fusing problem on Heavy fuser with thick paper, when I do a full color print. Testing per color then fusing works, but I notice shiney lines and some scratches next to, that correspond to small rubber rollers and foam rollers? What's the best I can do? Xerox C60 by the way.

What can be done to remove the black streak on the upper fuser roller? The 2 streaks are right along where the 2 plastic parts are touching on the two sides of the printer. It looks like these streaks are what's causing the faint black vertical lines along the sides of the page near the edge of the margins.

I have dismantled the Fuser to take voltmeter readings for resistance. Thermistor value changes .1 or .2 at most in 29 C room temperature. But Thermostat read 1Megaohm; Fuser sensor readings: Thermistor: 296.1 kOhm Thermostat: 1.013 Mohm (???) Do you think its the thermostat or something more complicated like the laser motor ?

Viandant5 your passion and knowledge of printers is remarkable. excellent video. In some printers (dell 2350dn) there is no separate counter for the fuser. The web interface page displays the life of the fuser left...say 60%. If the printer has done 45k copies, it means that the fuser life is estimated at 80-100k. Does this mean that when the fuser life is zero% the printer will stop working? Many printers have a fuser reset procedure but not this dell. thank you
@@viandant5 My concern is that I might change the fuser and find that the PCB blocks the machine when the fuser life is 0%. It is strange that Dell has no fuser counter but ONLY a page counter which is used to tell you how much life is in the fuser. Have you come across any printer that has no fuser reset feature and blocks the machine when fuser life is 0%?
@@viandant5 Yes but how does the PCB know that you have changed the fuser? How does the FUSER LIFE % change from 0% to 100% if there is no fuser page count? It's funny for this Dell printer: You cannot find new 230V fusers. They sell plenty of 110V ones for the US market but the only one I found online is an aftermarket 230V fuser in the UK for over 300GBP!! I guess I will buy a 110v fuser and then insert the heating element on my 240v old fuser.

Hello, could you help me? I have Brother H-2321D. Problem: All led blinking and fan full spin. According to manual: thermistor temp error. Heater heating up. I checked thermostat: works ok Thermister: Multimeter under 2M ohm range gives value .350. When I heat it up (under 20k range, value is 8k). Is the thermistor faulty? I can't find thermistor near me. Have to replace the whole fuser unit which is expensive. Any idea how to solve this? Solved: the above thermistor value is ok condition for my model. Thermistor centre and side: Ok Thermostat: Ok Heater element: Ok (as my fuser was heating up). The problem was due to faulty flex cable (the one that connects from paper eject pcb assy to the main pcb assy). The continuity failed that's how I came to know.
The value should decline if heated. The error codes descriptions are really vague. It could be a fuser roller or heatert element that does not heat well so the thermistor does not read the correct value so it's not sure that changing the thermistor you solve the problem
@@viandant5 thank you for the promt reply. I got mine fixed. Flex cable points were missing internal connection due to repeated dissaembly. They seem to be very fragile. I just soldered small wires to missing line (otherwise takes forever to delivery stuff). Thanks again for the tutorials. They were very helpful.

I have a question , I am using a icolor 550 , and when I print on transparency paper, it appears that toner particle scratch the glossy paper making the transfer useless as those scratches damage the actual print quality . I cleaned all the rollers and the issue still . It is also smudging the prints on the right side of the paper . What could possibly be bad? Thank you again
Probablyu that rrasparencies are not suitable for that print, may be they are for inkjet printers? I would check if in the printer folder there are settings for that special paper

I ordered a new fuser from aliexpress, which arrived only after a few days. The fuser looks pretty much the same, but one of the two connectors, the bigger one, does not fit in the socket. Can you explain please how the connectors of a fuser work?
@@abiesalba100 There must be a code, not the serial number. However you can use that fuser unit for spare parts. This error could be related to the heat lamp, but there could be a defective main board too

It's a typical fuser unit defect. Probably the fuser must be replaced. It could be toner or drum too

What lubricant should be applied for with standing heat in Teflon sleeve?
On the heating element you should use hight temperature grease

A worn fuser roller could cause that defect. In this case you can only change it

No, a blank page is not related to the fuser. It could be the laser unit, the main board, even the firmware.

If the roller is dirty you can claen it with alcohol. If the roller is damaged there is no way to repair it. you have to change the roller.

That erros means a mechanical problem, it could be not related to the fusers or electronics. May be a gear

@@keilo88 The defective gear could be in the machine too. The thermistor or thermal fuse may be could give that type of error code but not the noise

Yes, you'll have to change the fuser unit. I don't know any reset procedure for this machine

It could be a problem related to the paper pick-up fingers, dirty or worn out, or damp paper.

It's probably a problem related to the fuser unit. Check the rollers, are they worn or dirty? It could be the heating element or the thermistor too

50.7 error could be related to a photosensor but there is not a trick that solve everything.

I think you have to use original toner cartridges. For some special purposes compatible cartridges are not good

Are you sure you ordered the correct voltage, 110V or 220V?
