I also appreciated, along with the hosts, that you kept their sense of style and didn't insert things that wouldn't belong with that style. You two seem really talented at adapting to different styles that exist in a space and improving on them, even if it's a more subtle upgrade and not an all out makeover (which we know requires a big ol' budget that may not be there.)
Reminds me of this: ruclips.net/video/qCtTLGKjShc/видео.html And ruclips.net/video/SicKIeA9kqY/видео.html Complete opposite of what you said happened here, the designers chose their own wacky style for the home renovation and the actual house owners hated it
Hope that you and yours are all doing well and at peace. Thank you for keeping us entertained and keeping a bit of consistency in our lives during this uneasy time.
I really liked this. It seemed so much less awkward to see you talk with the hosts for a little bit in the beginning. You have much improved from the first video in this series. Well done, guys!
At first I wasn't sure how much of an impact those little changes were going to make overall, but I guess it goes to show that sometimes you don't need to knock down walls or paint to get an amazing impact!
Yeah I think the position and layout can make the biggest difference of all! I totally know i would be able to think of everything they did but it made such a big improvement
I love that the girls took criticism from the previous eps and concentrated more on the context too - the owners, what they want, design ideas etc. Tbh I think style selected series were better than upgrade my stay but now I have faith this will be just as good 💕
yes! that's one thing I can't fault them for, they take constructive criticism so well and continue to make better content. they don't brandish it as hate. much love to them for that!
3rd time's a charm! You totally nailed it this time TSG! Love love love this video. So very Canadian, so relaxed and fun to watch, perfect upgrades. ❤❤❤❤ keep these coming!
They really listened to the comments and brought in aspects that we had suggested. Especially where the owners described their needs and style. Love this episode!
southerngypsy13 They’re always very responsive to, and respectful of, the owners/clients. They don’t let their own tastes, or the needs of the channel dictate what they do. And, of course, this really works beautifully... and also serves the channel because they have both made something beautiful, and made someone(s) happy.
@@IvyRoad I definitely agree they always do this, it was just wasn't included so much in the previous episodes. It was something that was commented on a lot. So it's nice to see they took it to heart and include the footage into this episode.
This episode was the best one and it had so many great moments. It had funny moments and sweet moments - like the red bird flying away and Kelsey skating happily in the mini lake.
This is the coziest video ever. Not just because the space is extremely cozy, but also the camera work, color- and video editing was so beautiful and calming and you guys drinking tea and ice skating made it feel like we were on a camping trip with you
I love spaces that when people walk in they don’t ask “who’s your designer?”They say “you designed this so well.” This is exactly what you did. Perfection.
The fact that I laughed so hard whenever Becky said the "Turt Yurdle" is hilarious! I literally cried from laughing so hard! Oh the things that amuse me!!!
This is my favorite video so far. The makeover was great but i loved how fun and genuine your friendship was shown. the laughs and decoration made this my favorite sorry girls video ever!
Kelsey and Becky and crew, you all did an incredible job of this video and the yurt makeover was fantastic! I wasn't able to say all the things I love about the makeover on camera, but I truly love the kitchen sitting space, the wall hook set up, sitting chairs and the lighting makes a huge difference. The lights are so pretty at night time and bright as well. We have had a great response from our guests since the makeover. I have to say this has been the highlight of our year so far. Working with you was so fun and you were all so considerate and respectful of our needs and space. We are grateful to have the opportunity to learn so much from this amazing makeover. You are both so talented! Love the shots on the pond and firewood chopping! Phew! Glad no limbs were cut off! We will be watching your channel and share this with others! You are welcome to come and stay during the quarantine!
Tip from a scout leader who has seen people chop into their knees instead of the wood: always keep a wide stance when chopping. Feet far apart, but not not one in front of the other. Safety first! 😄
This was the best Upgrade my stay yet. I liked that you seemed more natural and like you are in other videos. Also the intro with what they wanted was a great add. You did a great job of using their stuff, too, like you do every time. Really really great.
The entire space looks amazing! I love how camp-like and cozy the space is. It looks perfect for a cold snowy day. I guess the only issue I see here is the lighting option the girls chose. The problem with battery operated lights is that the batteries run out very quickly, meaning the couple will have to replace it often (like every few weeks or so depending on how often they're used, which I'm assuming will be every night). They are also located in very hard to reach areas that would require a ladder in order to replace the batteries. Sure it looks aesthetically pleasing right now but it takes a lot of maintenance to keep. Perhaps in the future you all can use an alternative light source if needed? Maybe solar powered fairy lights since the place is located in an area with a lot of exposure to sun?
I love this. You girls did an amazing job. I wanna stay in a yurt!! And I know there are some negative comments floating around about how "scripted" the series is but honestly I think this episode proves that you can do scripted and be very natural... it's just a bit dependant on the hosts you're working with (which is not to say anything bad about any of them), just to say some of that is out of your control. Great job ladies! I can't wait for more of this series!!
This episode felt so much more relaxed and not forced. You really listened to the feedback of everyone and it shows!! This episode was beautiful! The build up, the results. You listened to what they wanted, kept their style, explanation your decisions. Tbh you couldn't do any better! You guys deserve the most, you put so so much work into this! Creds to the whole tsg team for making such a great channel and growing so much every time!
so much improvement in this series already!! feels like it’s rly getting into its groove and I’m excited to see what y’all do next :) also I’m a sucker for literally everything about yurts and snow and camping and uhhh yeah all of that lol
I love how they are making over the yurt but also just having a nice mini break together with skating and wood chopping. =) This is my favourite one so far, absolutely amazing!!! Love you guys xx
I have been struggling so hard to not watch your guises videos for two whole months and now I have so much content to binge and I am so excited it’s gonna take me like two weeks to binge all this content I’m so happy
That was a really good "re-style". I love how you girls can sense the style of the owner and make it even better, the layout was very on point. Really like this series and all the other you have on the channel. Good job! Greetings from a Brazilian living in Norway. :P
Wow - you guys are getting soooo good at this!! You captured their style on point, and you brought in function and coziness without sacrificing space! They have so many seating options now, and the strings of lights give it almost a magical feel. I love how you incorporated some of the existing furnishings but made them so much better - like adding the duvet cover to the comforter & the poofs for additional seating at the round table. The extra firewood was so practical!! Their guests will appreciate that on cold nights, I'm sure!! BRAVO! Job very well done!!
This couple was TOO CUTE. She was so excited and amazed with you. What a special place! You guys smashed this one out of the park. It’s beautiful and still very much the style it was when you arrived. Just better organized and presented. It will make all the difference for them and their visitors
This new series is going to be a great podcast topics😍 I knew it! You know, A Little About The New Series😆. The background story, the preparation, the struggles, etc. Ilys guys and also thank you for the TSG Team. You guys are amazing 😍❤️
Loved this style of video so much - i definitely preferred the voice over explanations to the confessionals and the way you talked through everything. There were a couple of slow points (axe chopping was fun but long) but in general I think you've done an amazing job taking on everyone's feedback on the first 2 episodes. Thank you for listening and creating!
Literally so good! I love how versatile you guys are, obviously I know your personal styles but you always give people what they want in their own style! Y’all are fantastic!
This episode was so much easier to watch. I’m so happy one of you didn’t act completely surprised about the property in the beginning and had the owners involved in the video. The flow was much improved. Great job! The yurt looked awesome too!
This is such a wonderful video. Not only do I think your personalities, humor and the fun you have came to shine more than in any other video before, but the DIYs and makeover were so minimal, but you understood their style perfectly and they clearly really loved it. Best video I've seen from you ever!
This is such an awesome series. These people have beautiful properties and you two give the design and functionality so much thought and care. Seeing you two have fun and your friendship is really wonderful too. Love this, keep it up ladies! You inspire!
What I like about this series is, even though it has to be staged for it to work, it doesn't feel over sentimental. You don't "hug" your hosts like long lost friends who then jump and and down like over excited (bad) actors. So many of these types of show normally portrait this and it feels really fake. Your ideas are easy to replicate and function well for each space and home owner. Great job. :)
Been binging this series thru this stay home period, and I think this is my fav from the series. Felt all warm and fuzzy and cozy just watching them transform the space and how cohesive it looks. not forgetting function too. ugh! You girls are the best!
Big improvement from the first couple episodes! Love that you two asked what they wanted or didn't want in the space and really tailored your makeover to them and their needs.
Now this is beautiful. I was there in your Instagram live..and had same questions as many others had but this videos brings back the old sorry girls whom i subscribed many years ago. This really is a beautiful makeover. ♥️🏡
This was such a great makeover from what is fast becoming a favorite new series. I, like others, am so surprised at what a huge difference there is from all of all of the seemingly small design choices once the whole space is put together. I loved your design choices here and how you kept the integrity of what the homeowners were trying to create. Thanks so much for sharing your content with us. This was a fun way to spend a part of a quarantine day 💕
Love love it ❤️ This series is so fun. I liked getting to know the hosts and their needs a bit better because then when you were doing all the DIYs and moving things around, it made more sense. So excited to see more!!
I didn’t have any negative comments for the previous episodes because my thoughts had already been said and you didn’t need any more of that - but you took all those other comments on and this is such a more polished episode! Speaks volumes of you both that you can filter the constructive feedback and use it to your advantage, so proud of your growth it’s amazing to watch xx love to you and your talent
I know where I want to go once it is safe to travel again! This might be the coziest looking place I have ever seen. I love how you kept the original style but made it more functional (and those comfy chairs really look like they came with the yurt). Also, I'm jealous of all the snow. This year winter never made it to where I live.
I know you guys are not gonna vlog anymore but maybe during the quarantine you guys could post little short vlogs, even with snippets from the rest of the tag crew
Well done, Sorry Girls! You did a great job with keeping the hosts' style but still pulling it together. And the hosts seem like the loveliest people ever, too! I want to stay there 😍
Wow, this has been the best one so far, and that firewood scene was great 😂 I think everyone needs a good laugh right now. Hoping y'all are healthy and safe and doing well ❤
I had see this tent before. But I didn' t pay attention to the furniture. Girls, maybe this is one of your best makeovers. You nailed it. So cozy. Everything blended in so well. The kitchen floating area and the beds under the windows, great
I have so been enjoying this series and have lots of proud viewer moment for our girls and their success. I particularly like this episode because the editing is really well done and the whole thing is extremely cohesive and very easy and enjoyable to watch. This marks a new chapter in the success of this channel and I can't wait to see what comes next!
This was a beautiful makeover and had a lot of hacks for small spaces. I still think this series would do so great with a confessional at the end from the folks who had their stays upgraded. A place they can talk to the camera or each other about how they felt so that the pressure of interacting with the Sorry Girls is off and we can hear how they feel. Like here, they weren't even able to see the kitchen because they didn't move around, but that was her main request! Thanks for the videos :D
I love that the girls made it a functional space for four people, instead of just two like the original design. that'll hopefully get the owners more income from the rental!
This video has made me like you two so much more. I don't know why. You just seem so down to earth and considerate. A lot of designers try to push clients past their comfort zone.
The difference in awkwardness levels is because usually when they are designing a space for someone, that person is a RUclipsr themselves so they are used to being in front of a camera and/or have large personalities. These are normal people who do not know how to act in front of a camera. I felt a similar level of awkwardness when they did the style selected makeovers for Beckys friend and the one for Kelsey’s sister.
This episode was WORLDS beyond the first two in the series! Amazing growth, you've very obviously come into your own here and it's my favourite makeover video I've ever seen on your channel!
This is definitely the best Upgrade My Stay episode so far! I love how you girls are so resourceful #goals! I also love how you girls took some time off the makeover and enjoyed what the stay has to offer. I think it gives a better insight of what unique about each stay. I felt a little bit sad when the kitchen area wasn't mentioned because I think it looks wonderful. Great job girls!
This channel has come such a long way!! Its so inspiring to see your progress. Everything from the transitions, music, drone shots, and the "big reveal" is so professional and honestly better than many tv shows. Well done!!
This episode was the best one yet! It really feels like you guys listened to audience feedback, and did an amazing job incorporating it. The series went from baby, to teenage growing pains, to awesome glowup in this video - great job, and much love ❤️
The space came out really cozy and lovely, and the episode felt like a travelogue because they showed how nice the whole property is and introduced the owners. This really advertises the place! Surely a lot of people now want to go :-)
I also appreciated, along with the hosts, that you kept their sense of style and didn't insert things that wouldn't belong with that style. You two seem really talented at adapting to different styles that exist in a space and improving on them, even if it's a more subtle upgrade and not an all out makeover (which we know requires a big ol' budget that may not be there.)

agree ❤❤
At first I wasn't sure how much of an impact those little changes were going to make overall, but I guess it goes to show that sometimes you don't need to knock down walls or paint to get an amazing impact!
Organizing where things go does help. Definitely proved that.

You're so inspiring! The natural colours match with the spirit of the yurt and those small changes combine the cosiness and practicality.
My favorite Upgrade My Stay yet! Love it!!
I loved this one. It looks gorgeus and clean, without stuff that no one needs. Love the color pops and how everthing has a purpose.
18:44 "The horses had been fed and watered." 😂😉
That and the titanic part made me crack up lol
This episode was WORLDS beyond the first two in the series! Amazing growth, you've very obviously come into your own here and it's my favourite makeover video I've ever seen on your channel!
The videography, cinematography, aesthetic - IT’S EVERYTHING ❤️
This is definitely the best Upgrade My Stay episode so far! I love how you girls are so resourceful #goals! I also love how you girls took some time off the makeover and enjoyed what the stay has to offer. I think it gives a better insight of what unique about each stay. I felt a little bit sad when the kitchen area wasn't mentioned because I think it looks wonderful. Great job girls!
The two host were a weird combination of lovely and warm but at the same time distanced and a bit awkward. I liked them, would definitely stay there!
😂 for a second I thought you were talking about Kelsey and Becky
I feel like that description fits many Canadians 😁 and i grew up in this area!
@@kariscains5198 hehe!
the best upgrade my stay yet! everything felt so personal and you could really tell how much they appreciated your work
ok i replayed the first 10 seconds like 5 times 😂
beckys laugh KILLED ME 😂 omg lol
This channel has come such a long way!! Its so inspiring to see your progress. Everything from the transitions, music, drone shots, and the "big reveal" is so professional and honestly better than many tv shows. Well done!!
"a lil bit of AESTHETIC never hurt nobody" ~kelsey 2020
OOF, I felt that in my bones.
This episode was the best one yet! It really feels like you guys listened to audience feedback, and did an amazing job incorporating it. The series went from baby, to teenage growing pains, to awesome glowup in this video - great job, and much love ❤️
wow now I really want to live there
The space came out really cozy and lovely, and the episode felt like a travelogue because they showed how nice the whole property is and introduced the owners. This really advertises the place! Surely a lot of people now want to go :-)
