I really really do not understand how your videos and channel does not get a significant amount more of views and subscribers. I mean. Your content is desirable, your scripts are well written, your narration is clear and engaging, and, overall, I’d say better than 90% of similar content and channels. I do not get YT and how this world works sometimes, but you do great work brother. I mean that, very truthfully.
Just started watching your videos today 2/24. Thank you I like to focusing on certain characters after watching a series. Its like watching it for the first time again.
@@loudnclearvoiceovers4141 It’s heavily implied in the show that Capone was bullshitting about being in the war which matches up with the real history: “Claiming he got injured in WWI during thes battles in the Argonne forrest while he was serving with the "Lost Battalion" in 1918, when in reality he got slashed by a fellow mobster because Al insulted his sister.”
Hey Evan! I love how you work out who you think was behind the different set ups. Real simple but with flawless logic - you should have been a police detective (if you aren’t already 😅). See ya on the next one
😂😂 nah I'm a UPS driver full time..I would like to upload more but with layoffs the remaining drivers are getting killed with hours. Thank you for watching brotha
Yeah bro, your videos are fantastic! I’m becoming obsessed with Boardwalk Empire, and all because of you! Your editing and personality are definitely gonna pay off! Keep on truckin!!!!
Al Capone was never in the military. Although he was the right age to have served in WW1, he never enlisted, and he somehow avoided getting drafted. The 3 scars, on the left side of his face was inflicted by a local thug named Frank Galluccio. Capone made up a story explaining that the disfiguring wounds were received in a combat situation, but that was false.
Finally i Found Someone that reviews one of my top 5 favorite shows .....and by the well great coverage on this show ....you should tell Mob guy stories....just a suggestion
I just watched Boardwalk Empire again. I like it more than the Soprano’s. I feel there is constant action and never gets boring. There either some shady deal or a betrayal going on. Anyway… thanks for the video. I’m a subscriber.
Boardwalk empire is one of my favorite, being from Philadelphia it holds special. Your videos are AWESOME!! I'm so glad I found your channel!!! Keep the great Vids coming! I would love to see a video on Eddie Kesler
I complemented earlier on how nice your voice overs are. I just now noticed the name of your channel haha nice work. Ive really been itching to rewatch the series but I dont have the time. Your videos have scratched the itch! I really have enjoyed them
It’s important to note at 3:40 when you say they both were in the war. Al Capone would often tell people he served and was in the “lost battalion” in WW1. This was far from the truth. Al Capone never served in the military.
That’s dope man. You will enjoy it. Honestly though, you might want to hold off on some of these videos until you watch the whole show but come back after you watch👍🏾🙏🏾
Jimmy was actually tougher and more strategic than Al & quite considerably...his only problem was he bit off more than he could chew & Nucky proved smarter & more strategic/resourceful than Jimmy.
One thing i really liked about Stephen Graham's portrayal of Al Càpone in Boardwalk Empire was that he shown as MUCH younger..& partying.. drinking & doing coke..ALL of which the real life Capone actually DID do In the past the movies & TV shows 7 he usually make Capone look & act like a middle aged man,. when the truth is that the real life Al Capone was only in his 20s during his entire run as boss of the Chicago mob Capone arrived in Chicago from Brooklyn N.Y. at around 20yrs old..& was running Chicago just a few years later When Capone was finally locked up on tax charges & sentenced to,15 years..he was 31..but he had an untreated case of Syphilis...& by the time Capone was suffering from Dementia & had the mentality of a four year old, To keep him from being assassinated by his former associates out of fear of what he might accidentally reveal to law enforcement due to his Dementia..his family took him to live at his home iñ Florida,.where they cared for him until he passed at the relatively young age of 47...at which time it had been 16 years since he went to prison as Chicago mob Boss In my opinion the reason that Capone is portrayed as middle aged or older in the movies about him is the fact that in the real life modern day mob.. most members don't even become made until they're in their 30s or 40s..& the bosses are usually in their 60s at the youngest.. but most are in their 70s & 80s Back in the 1920s & 30s which was the era which Boardwalk Empire took place.. most of the real life mobsters portrayed in the show like the founder of the American Mafia/ La Cosa Nostra Salvatore Lucania AKA Charles Charlie Lucky Luciano..& his childhood friend & crime business partner Meyer Lansky.. were only in their 20s .. Luciano was still only in his early 30s when he met with mob bosses from all over the United States to form the modern day LCN. Anyways keep up the great work brother.. looking forward to your new videos 👑
Theres a theory that the 5 families encouraged Capone to do what he did in Chicago. That they wanted him to become that notorious to take heat off people like Luciano.
Fist fight hard to say Al would probably come at him like a boxer and Richard would try to gouge out his eyes but I think Al would be tougher knuckle to knuckle . In a gunfight Richard hands down
Chalky or Al? I’m going chalky and here is why. My grandfather used to tell me don’t worry about the guy who is loud and always talking trash it’s the quiet guy you worry about. You could tell chalky new how to throw down.
Richard Harrow would wipe the floor with Al both long range and up close and personal. You dont see Al Capone killing a house full of tough guys single handed
It’s said “ Beating the brakes off someone “ not bricks. Ur brakes help u stop n keep control. Once u don’t have brakes ur all over the place n don’t have control of ur forward momentum
In a rumble between Al Capone and Chalky, Chalky eould win, because, according to the stroy line, Chalky used to be a boxer. This was the era of Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey and Jess Willard. Believe it or not, Chalky's character may have been loosely based on an African American boxer, in the 1940s. His name was Albert Chalky Wright. Coincidence???
Al never served in war Al irl lied abt being in war as an explanation 4 his scars. At 18, he got his scars after making a sexual remark abt a woman’s ass
I finished the whole series a few days ago. Unfortunately I had the identity twist at the end spoiled for me but still goddamn. Also Harrow wins over Al hands down. Snorky ain't got shit on Richard Harrow.
Al Capone never served in the war, but it’s on record and very well-known that he had claimed falsely to have fought with the lost battalion. He claimed to have gotten his famous scar during the war, but he actually got it in a bar fight when he was a bartender. I think the scene where he was making fun of Jimmy and Jimmy started poking fun at Al in return, was him calling out Al for this lie infront of everyone without outright saying it.

I appreciate the kind words brotha.. it's all about the journey man and I'm enjoying it. Couldn't do it without people like you. Thank you fam
Algorithm...not sure how it works but it doesn't seem to reward good content the way you might think. Maybe has something to do with likes?
@@007JNR I love when Brian is trying to figure out Stewie’s math in operating the Time Machine. “Oh common Math, you dick!”

Love those deep dives into Boardwalk Empire. Great work!

These are some of the most underrated characters in TV show history. I hope I'm doing them some justice with the videos. Appreciate you watching fam.
Steve Graham's Capone put DeNiro's Capone to shame
Al wasn't in the war. Damn jimmy even called him out
Jimmy suspected he wasn't in the war.

Stephen Graham absolutely crushed it. Gave the character depth and humanity, best portrayal of Al Capone yet.

Hell yeah bro, thanks for the support
The actor made this character so much more impactful.

Loving the videos bro great stuff 👌
In the first episode it was Al who fucked up the heist getting spooked by the deer & Jimmy had to clean up the mess.

Capone arrived in Chicago from Brooklyn N.Y. at around 20yrs old..& was running Chicago just a few years later
When Capone was finally locked up on tax charges & sentenced to,15 years..he was 31..but he had an untreated case of Syphilis...& by the time Capone was suffering from Dementia & had the mentality of a four year old,
To keep him from being assassinated by his former associates out of fear of what he might accidentally reveal to law enforcement due to his Dementia..his family took him to live at his home iñ Florida,.where they cared for him until he passed at the relatively young age of 47...at which time it had been 16 years since he went to prison as Chicago mob Boss
In my opinion the reason that Capone is portrayed as middle aged or older in the movies about him is the fact that in the real life modern day mob.. most members don't even become made until they're in their 30s or 40s..& the bosses are usually in their 60s at the youngest.. but most are in their 70s & 80s
Back in the 1920s & 30s which was the era which Boardwalk Empire took place.. most of the real life mobsters portrayed in the show like the founder of the American Mafia/ La Cosa Nostra Salvatore Lucania AKA Charles Charlie Lucky Luciano..& his childhood friend & crime business partner Meyer Lansky.. were only in their 20s .. Dean O Bannion isnt just Al's biggest rival in the show, but in real history as well
THE RISE OF SCARFAFE AL CAPONE,,,,
Al Capone didn’t fight in the war. He was lying the whole time
He’s hands down the best betrayal of Capone in my opinion.
Theres a theory that the 5 families encouraged Capone to do what he did in Chicago. That they wanted him to become that notorious to take heat off people like Luciano.
Obviously mutual respect
Spot on ! 👍👍👍
Excellent Video 🎉 New Sub here!.
Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed
It says in the behind the scenes its because Al couldn't stand his kid getting bullied
What's because of this? Killing Deanie's man in the bar?
