Hello. I bought 2 homepods 2nd generation and connected them to apple tv 4k without any problems. However, while my current 1gb internet speed is about 700 800mbs via apple tv wifi, it dropped to around 450mbs after 2 homepods connection. Is it normal to drop so much? When I turn off the homepods, my speed increases again to around 750mbs.
That might not be related to HomePod. It could be based on where you are doing the test from and how far the router could be or many other things. I have the same setup and my internet speed is still 1.3gbps.
Hey, thank you for watching. Someone else was asking me something similar as well. It is kinda hard to showcase how the sound of the HomePods is via a smartphone camera or any camera for that matter because it would not be sounding the same, but in my own experience of having the HomePod 2nd Gen for the last 5 days, I do not have any complaints with the bass, spatial audio, or dolby atmos as the homepod balances out things perfectly. Based on where you setup, the homepod will adjust itself on how it delivers the sound to you. The only downside would be, if you have a big space, then the two HomePods might not be enough, you might end up needing more or a proper sound system.
Hi, please can you check this out taking 4 or 5 homepod 2 speakers and test it for possibly a multi channel 4.0/5 0 audio a home theatre setup with spatial audio, connecting to Apple TV 4k, connect in "living room"...??
For my lounge, where the Apple TV is, it is not needed. Two homepods is more than enough to achieve a far greater sound based on what I have experience ever since owning these. What I would recommend is that for a bigger space, you would need to either get a massive surround sound system, or get more homepods, but that would solely depend on the layout of your home/lounge. Bass is good, spatial audio is good, and the dolby atmos is amazing as well so it was a good decision for me, and might be for others as well, as long as they factor in their space.
@@BASNYAT ok Thank you. May I check with regards to Dolby Atmos, when you played in Homepods any Atmos content e.g. from Netflix/Disney+/Appletv+ in your TV, does it indicate Stereo audio or multichannel Dolby Atmos audio?
@@semino1101 I am pasting the same response I gave you in the other comment as well 😊 Hope this helps. When you are pairing two or more homepods, each is able to play its own audio channel, left or right whilst separating out both the ambient and direct energy. This also creates a spacious, three-dimensional sound effect for an enhanced listening experience from any spot in the room. When two HomePods are paired, it also increases bass extension, giving a more accurate representation of low frequencies with deeper sounds. When you set up home cinema audio with HomePod, you can enjoy an immersive soundstage for video content with Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital 7.1 or Dolby Digital 5.1 surround formats. The first part should answer your question, if not a visit to the nearest Apple Store should allow you to experience it before purchasing it as well 😊
Very elaborate analysis of the new gen Apple HomePod 2. Boss Just wanted to know if these stereo pairing speakers can output Dolby Atmos music /sound effect while listening to Apple Music. Or does it simply support Apple Lossless audio only .
It has both spatial audio and dolby atmos capability and you do not need two homepods for that. It does achieve the surround sound, but for that depending on the size of the room, you might want to get more or an actual surround sound system, whichever will be cheaper. For my lounge, it is not too big, and the two homepods does fill the entire room with much better audio experience than my soundbar with subwoofer did.
On this aspect, I would like you to test or verify if playing any Dolby Atmos content in your Apple TV from Netflix/Disney+/Appletv+ thru Stereo Homepods setup, does the Homepod Left has single channel sound and Homepod Right has single channel sound (OR) individual Speaker drivers in left and right homepod unit has different channel sound dispersion? I'm not bother about spacing or filling up a room here, just like to know if individual drivers give sound separation to create spatial effect even in smaller scale...?? Hope you understand my question. If you didn't perform this test, please can you do this and advise.... Thank you.

You have to connect the Apple TV to your TV via the cable, there is no possibility of connecting the Apple TV to your TV wirelessly, also even if that was a possibility, why would you do something that would introduce latency? Wired connection is always reliable and better, which is why I have also connected the ethernet to my Apple TV to ensure that the internet connection is much reliable that WiFi.
