Been there & done that ! Wearing long johns on a 90 degree day going to work, people look at you like your crazy ! LOL would go back in a second if I could, loved that job ! 😁
Demir fırınını delip akışına izin veriyor ilk curuf ardından ham demir akar alt kattaki tren vagonarındaki torpidolara dolup çelikhaneye gidiyor gitmeden önce kükürt giderme tesisine gidiyor ardından çelikhaneye gidip siparişe göre farklı elementler metaryalller ekleniyor
Never worked a blast furance, just a minimill. This Mill is in India as far as I can tell, they seem to make good steel. Does a wet clay plug make it alot harder to get the hammer drill through?
They should be the Most highly paid technicians but sadly in India in most of factories they work on daily basis and put their life in danger for our convenience at a mere salary of 15-18 k per month.
These were drill bit of different orifice tap opening sizes having air supply in between probe of bit...Along with it they use ...Hammer rod size of few couple of meters pointed nose they both r used to open casting
Bulging Battery inner wall of furance is covered with copper plating inside and those plating where cooled by soft water and over those plate heat resistance clay is pasted....
Great Team Work, like a ballet company. Except people don't die in Ballet shows often. Guys used to tell me that sometimes they'd see a jacket floating on top of the pour. Meant someone fell in and die. They were vaporized.
The blast furnace is the beginning of everything in our modern world, from nuts and bolts to cars and computers !
@SHERMAN YOUNG infact RMHS (raw material handling section)
@SHERMAN YOUNG yes one and the same thing.
The blast furnace is the end of everything in our modern world.

Too bad there’s no description of what is happening for viewers who have no experience, but are curious.

"What do you do for a living?"
"I play with a stream of hot, sticky fluid coming out of a big tube in hell."
So, you’re a prostitute in rough neighborhood, with a devilish mean pimp?
My dad worked in the blast furnace in the mills of Gary Indiana
Good winter job.
Credit to the operator drilling up, looked like quite the wet taphole

Pig iron.
Wow tons of white hot molten steel! Better put my safety shirt on!
And stay 80 feet away from it.
@@luthermcgee7297 that pokey pole they use is certainly shorter than 80 ft
@@velkejkoren , Agreed.
How do you stop the poor when you have to change the ladle during a tap?
You don't. There should be a tilter to move from one ladle to another. At the end of tapping you plug the taphole with clay by a claygun.
Where do i sign up?!
Job like this definitely isn't for everybody

That's appropriate. India is grossly overpopulated.
This seems safe. Lol. Couldn’t they design a robot to do this?
i think that is the robot for now.
😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
taphole machine use TMT?
yes
Purwanto Eko Nugroho carbide tip drill rod
Nope

Is the blast furnace cooled with anti-freeze?
Bulging Battery inner wall of furance is covered with copper plating inside and those plating where cooled by soft water and over those plate heat resistance clay is pasted....
Is there a radiator?
No protection ???
With all that molten iron running around, protective gear just lets you die more slowly.
It seems kind of nuts to have exposed skin with all of those white hot globules of metal shooting all over the place.
