6:54 Carbon electrod moving downwards to start arc furnace to melt the steel is amazing, millions of amps electricity and magnetic field must be so strong.
The fact that you look from the outside and you can't tell that that's a steel mill from belching smokestacks lets you know it isn't in China or india. I was guessing Japan but Korea was pretty close

Outstanding video... i wish there were subtitles or a way to get more information about the different processes throughout the video.
I really love industrial soundscapes, so I had this on in the background and just listened to the audio on repeat.
Top!! Top!! Excelente vídeo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Huge respect to the people working in these plants, the level of risk involved.
Amazing footage ! 👍
Outstanding video!!!!! Thanks so much…..
Thanks for share this video; I worked 19 years in a foundry plant; a very risky work, but I loved it...

I’m trying to figure out this steel factory can work without throwing the stuff on the ground between each step. 🇵🇰

This was the largest steel mill in the world until another one was built in Gwangyang. Both mills are owned by POSCO.

To nie są miliony amperów , tylko tysiące
There are actually two of them in the video, the other one being a smaller ladle furnace used for refining.
Mesmerizing 🔥

Great video 👍👍👍😊
Bet the claw operator has a house full of Teddy bears from the amusements
What do they use to power the furnaces? Great video by the way.
Typically 10 to 30% is scrap that goes into new steel.
Things like brake discs, covers, wheels etc are 100% scrap.🙏🙏👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
How would like to be the guy changing bearings on all the spinning rollers etc etc

I find it amusing,

the most that the Hatfields and the McCoys could do
was throw rocks at each other.

The melt is tested metallurgically to determine its composition. Amendment materials are added to bring it to the needed composition.
