30年以上前になるけれど、ドイツでも日本車を多く見かけました。
中でもマツダ車が一番人気でとても多かったのです。
客先の技術者たちに理由を聞いたら
『下回りが最も錆びにくいから！』とのこと。
『冬場に塩を多量に道路に撒くので、車で一番大事なのはボディーの下の防錆なんだ』
そんなことを思い出しました。

Manufacturing cars is seriously complex. Like on another level!
Just thinking about the nuts and different torque settings of each screwdriver set across the whole factory melts my brain!
Managing these things is a nightmare!
Yes, but what a waste of time and effort making crap EVs. Car yards are full of second hand ones that they can't give away. Horrible things to drive too. No more exciting than a golf buggy or a milk float.
@@BD-bditw 😂😂 Well I partly agree. Unless there is a better battery technology commercially available (like the promised SS batteries) EVs are crap.
BUT, hybrids are the way. They will recover Lots of wasted ICE energy. And at the end of battery lifetime, you'll end up with regular ICE. Also batteries are smaller and cheaper and act more like an energy buffer.
I really like them.
@@ArminYekkalam You mention nuts. The nuts that are the most difficult to understand are the ones that buy these EVs. They must be nuts to even consider buying one in the first place. Then, when they go to trade it in with a deteriorated battery they go nuts at the salesman for offering such a low trade in price. Nuts, nuts, nuts, and more nuts. Perhaps the most important nut in an EV is the one driving it.
@@ArminYekkalam Hybrids still make no sense over the longer term. Just check as an example the Toyota Camry hybrid. The overall MPG is not that much better the pure ICE version, but it costs incredibly more to buy. An ICE car can easily last for twenty years, but a hybrid will need at least two new batteries in that time and it eventually cost more than the value of the car. Why would one pay over the odds for an EV? To save money? That makes no sense; just save that money up front by buying a proper car, ie. a diesel or a petrol ICE. On a full charge with a brand new battery a hybrid has a range of typically way less than 40 miles, then the small engine has to take over which, believe me, can be an embarrassment such as when ascending hills - they are underpowered. Why would anyone inflict this stress and inconvenience on themselves? Just enjoy motoring with a proper car.
@@ArminYekkalam The Renault Captur plug-in Hybrid gives you a whopping 28 - 31 miles of range on its fully charged battery! This is the figure from the official Renault website. See: Renault Captur Specs. and Dimensions. Then you need the (small) petrol engine to kick in to get you home, or a long stop off to charge the battery for another 31 mile get-you-there hop! The 31 miles figure is from the official Renault site stated as 50 kilometres. So my guess is that you can in reality on a wet dark journey expect way less than 31 miles from your new tip-top condition battery. This is really beyond parody.
A close friend of mine owns one of the first, here in Germany sold Mazda MX-30 (BEV) and he's very happy with this car 🤩 He's a fan of Mazda since many many years 😎

Simply amazing, my mind is swimming in the tech, not just in the fact Mazda makes a great product but all of the tech and ergonomic planning that went into the peocess and the amazing tech involved in the logistics and behind the scenes army of workers feeding the machine.
As mentioned in another post, I live in the central US, and Mazdas ability to make a rust resistant vehicle truly amazes me.

I have owned cars from various countries, but in terms of reliability and fewer breakdowns, I feel that Japanese cars are the best in the world. 🎌
However, on the highways, I believe German cars are the best.
I think this is because of Kodawari - japanise approach to work, the pursuit of perfection. This is why I dont trust european and USA cars in terms of durability and lifetime.
