Hen police pull you over? What information can they find out? What takes them so long? I made a video about it! ruclips.net/video/umOEACZXK6w/видео.htmlsi=iPhjXERc3oQoWWKH
We are on the slippery slope indeed!
That’s for sure.
I wonder if our PM will be upset because I gave him a 💩 imoji 😂
I swear it was two years before I even knew what that was 😂
@@OfficerArsenault , I thought it was a Hershey kiss with cute eyes until my kids told me it wasn't. :)
@@OfficerArsenault😂
So sorry to hear about Duke!
As a society we have become hyper sensitive to everything. We cannot smile gesture or even look at someone without someone taking offence to it. I feel that even before Covid but also with Covid people have changed. I’m not sure how to describe the change but things certainly have made our society our personality and our outlook so very different.
I know what you mean, I feel it.
Don't you ever send me that kiss emoji. Thank you
As mentioned similar to a handshake in years past. I believe the case where the thumbs up was considered binding was also because there were numerous previous instances where the people involved agreed to terms that way.
So if someone had threatened me in the past perhaps that boxing glove would be considered a threat.
It’s interesting to think about stuff like this.
Thank you for the input, I appreciate your take.
Randall be careful... I may think you love me when you heart my comments. bahahahaha
Social media used to be a good thing, now it's out of control.
That’s for sure!
Thank you.
I agree with the contractual agreement ruling because it demonstrates an acknowledgment of the terms but considering the heart emoji as cheating in a legal proceeding is an unintelligent decision.
I can see how threats can be made through the use of emojis but law enforcement shouldn't be scanning messages to look for emojis that could potentially be interpreted as a threat. Emojis shouldn't be taken seriously unless the person being threatened reports it and has circumstantial evidence to back up their claims.
I wouldn't mind hitting the button to rid this world of emojis. People have become too dependent on them. It's gotten to the point to where they use emojis as a substitute for words. This allows people to continue to be illiterate an still manage to just get by communicating well enough for others to understand them.
Yes I agree, police shouldn’t be scanning, it’s got to be a perceived threat interpreted by the person it’s directed to. 👍🏼
Wise words ,thanks
Thank you as well!
I like emojis. I blow kisses and hearts all the time. But, I'm single so I can🥰
I hate those emojis! I'm a very bad phone typer. In fact I hate texting. A few months I had to type a message so my sister-in-law. I typed out a message very quickly and before I realized what I had done, I accidentally send emojis with hearts. So embarrassing! No word of a lie! Now you got me wondering, did I commit adultery? LOL
Keep up with the great videos Randall! I love your channel!
Thank you for that comment! I’m glad someone finds them enjoyable lol. Much appreciated 🙏🏼
Fascinating subject! I assumed context would be paramount. I also assumed agreeing officially to any sort of contract would require more than just a "thumb(s) up". And that kiss emoji... I kind of assumed it was intended as a peck on the cheek kind of thing. But watching this video caused me re-evaluate that. I'm pretty sure there are no "sloppy tongue kiss" emojis out there. Officer Arsenault, you may have just, in the least, saved me from a really embarrassing moment! (Thankfully, I'm quite selective whom I send that emoji to.)
If I save one person from an embarrassing moment either than myself, then I did my job lol. Thank you for the input!
🥊 this means you play Mike Tysons punch out on the old Nintendo 😜
I would not this 👍 for a contract. Or this ❤ as cheating.
If I were "continually" harassed by some of the threatening ones, I might be scared.
For sure.
Yes I guess we should be careful what emoj we put and to whom Surprised about the judge and his interpretation on that incident 😳 It is an interesting society we're in today Have a great day Thx
Thank you for the input, have a great day!
Ridiculous! What ever happens to common sense? Also, it’s all about context.
Agreed
That's crazy. It's easy to hit the wrong emoji. You could have been hacked. Hard to prove you even did it.
True
Funny somebody send a zucchini and eggplant I be like okay what is for supper ! Geesh I finally learned what they mean .. so comical! No I don’t really care if a person send me a glove and a skull I will type back and make movies .. I keep getting warning in TikTok that I break rules funny .. omg so I must be the most lunatic plus I have a demon mask filter so funny
Contract law has been pretty flexible on what can count as an agreement for a long time for example any symbol you intended to serve as your signature is still counted as a valid signature even if you just write excelsior. As long as you intended it to be your signature its binding and its been that way for centuries.
Now responses to perceived or manufactured threats or perceived or manufactured sexual harassment have been becoming increasingly disproportionate in the name of appearing proactive and/or wanting to be on "the right side of history" since the nineties atleast. So i don't doubt snow balling narratives are already being used to violate constitutional rights. But this doesn't seam to be that.
Dear Randall, I hope you don't mind me asking, but when you say, "I’ve experienced a lot of trauma over the years," are you speaking of the years you were a police officer? Hope it is not too personal a question.
…and I think for better judgment in accordance with real life, the judge should consider that:
Who used the emoji,
in which condition done,
and why?!!!
Even sth happened in virtual space, we should see it in the real world with all related bond.
Different people, different reasons!…🙏🏻🌸🌸🌸💙👊🏻
Yes for sure, thank you for the input 🙏🏼
oh wait did i just sign a contract with this video by liking it? 😂eh i did actually like it
Thank you for that 😎
Sometimes my kids send text messages, and I always respond with heart-eye or kissing emojis. These emojis come from my heart, even if I'm in a bad mood. Every mom does this despite their mood. If they send a funny one, even if I'm upset or angry, I send a laughing-with-tears emoji. It’s funny, but I can't laugh even if it’s funny when I'm upset.
When I was in a relationship, they would send hugging or kissing emojis, and I would do the same even if I was angry or upset. I think that's normal. However, regarding other emojis, I never use even the thumbs-up emoji. If I don't understand something, I send a thinking emoji.
If you regularly use certain emojis, they stay on your phone, so you don't have to search for them. On my phone, I only have smile, heart-eye, kissing, angry, red, blue, white hearts and appreciation emojis, which I regularly send to my kids or use to comment on people's posts on Instagram or yutube.
Thanks for sharing Feruza!
@officer Arsenault,
Thanks for posting this. It is a very important point and I agree that it is quite concerning. As a former legal professional, I am concerned that if emojis are being taken as binding in the courts, then what about the authenticity of the author?
What does the thumbs up mean?
Acknowledgment or acceptance? Both words start with the same letter but have different meanings, subject to the intent of the author and the interpretation of the reader.
I'd be happy to get in touch with you so we can collaborate further.
What is the best email to connect with you?
Best regards!
Thank you! I appreciate the input. Tomorrow I’ll be linking my website to all my socials with a new email as well. Perfect timing 😂
iirc, in the case of that farmer the buyer said that because the farmer had agree to contracts via text in the past, the judge ruled that the emoji constituted a contractual agreement in this case, but wouldn't necessarily extend to every instance. So, the best way to avoid this is just never use emojis with business partners or in legal correspondence, but if you can't manage that, just never accept a contract via text. Always do it in person, by phone, or with a proper signature via e-mail or fax.
Solid advice, thank you.
@@OfficerArsenault You're welcome. I appreciate your videos so I'm glad I can give back a little.
😱 😂 🤷♂️🤯
Even if one sticks solely to English punctuation, certain words seem to be forbidden. Many words have duplicate meanings. It's all about context and intention.
Be careful with those like/heart emoji! You could be invited to another wedding? 😂
P.s.
;))
You never know!

The world is one corrupted place. Everyone needs God. Everyone.
What about XXX?
I'm proud of that one wtf 😊
What does that mean? 😂
Huh for one thing a child could push a button just to cause mischief.. a thumbs up is not valid .. a signature and voice would be more appropriate. Emoji and kisses .. my husband and I are not jealous type .. my husband goes out with females travels with them and I trust him etc etc depending on your relationship what you both are comfortable.. I send you kisses in my movies my husband doesn’t get mad .. omg some people too clingy type etc etc.
May I sum up my opinion with an emoji? 😮
You said it perfectly 😂
Wtf
It might sound ridiculous but then again, I look at what is going on in the world (one example is the Trump can still run for office 🤯) and by now I am no longer stunned by how stupid the world is becoming. But that is my POV.
That’s the thing, if it sounds ridiculous, it’s probably true 😂
@@OfficerArsenault I learned that the hard way when that nutjob got elected the first time around when I was convinced it had to be a joke…. Now I am terrified of what will happen in the fall. Really it’s a scary world we’re living in now with common sense and decency seems to be out the window. 🥴
Emojis are questionable in nature. If you know them, no problem. If you don't know the person, that's an issue right there.
True enough.
There words in picture form, grow a pair.
@@blondebeard6335 I agree with the first part and true. The second part was very rude and insulting to the man who did this video. Consider that disorderly conduct,

I can see this could happen in the courts. My Dad told me in the old days, a handshake would seal the deal and be considered a binding contract. So a 👍could mean, yes, go ahead and reshingle my roof for $8, 000.00. 😃
Agreed, thanks!
The courts need to give themselves a shake. A handshake shouldn't be a binding agreement until documents have been signed. This isn't the 50's and 60's anymore. Too many thieves and con men now for that. Letting an emoji equal a signed legal document is absolutely ridiculous!
Having said that, violence emojis should be considered harmless until they aren't. My $.02 Canadian opinion.

This is a bit much lol the world has become way too sensitive... That's just my opinion ... you can't even swing a Kleenex at someone 🙈🙉 big trouble... Our parent's/grandparents had the best times lol
I wholeheartedly agree!
