    I’m old and I live vicariously through these amazing RUclips creators a.k.a. I watch a lot of RUclips lol
    You have done an amazing job of documenting this build . You have taken 30 minutes and balanced everything so well and so artistically.
    Best time lapse video I’ve seen in a long time. It was organized, Detailed, artful and calm. The Content and music flowed very well together.
    I give your comment “and just like that” a warm hug it was organic and authentic. It was not annoying. It just stamped this 30 minutes with your personality. The photography was beautiful and very enjoyable. Keep up the good work. You guys are amazing and thank you for the entertainment.❤️❤️❤️❤️

    That osb board aka force field sheathing does not have a vapor barrier. It is a vapor permeable weather barrier.

    • @buildersblueprint
      @buildersblueprint  2 месяца назад +2

      You are correct, but it still does work as a weather barrier so it should be sufficient for what we are doing. It doesn’t snow where we live so we shouldn’t get too much moisture underneath it. I’ll let you know how it holds up.

    This was a good build with excellent attention to detail from the beginning to the end. I am however disappointed that you didn't wait till late fall or early winter to start, as everyone else does. I could just imagine doing this build in pouring down rain, a snow storm, and then everything freezes as the temperature hovers around -5. So, good planning all around. Gonna check out the interior build.

I would suggest putting the soffit on before you put on the facia tin so the facia tin covers the edge of the boards

    That heavy ridge BEAM is not necessary-
    A ridge BOARD ties together just fine, the DIAPHRAGM holds the entire perimeter rigid.
    Using continuous DIAPHRAGM blocking keeps it secure, unless you’re introducing a LIVE LOAD on your roof. RAFTER CLIPS manufactured hardware and screws, you’ll have no problems.

    Did you happen to weigh the trailer before doing the build, then after? I'd be curious to see how much this tiny home weighs...

    • @buildersblueprint
      @buildersblueprint  2 месяца назад

      We did not but we bought a brand new and they told us how much it weighed before buying it. We do plan on weighing it after the fact we’re hoping it doesn’t weigh anything more than nine or 10,000 pounds.

    You ARE MISSING the primary moist stop PRIOR to installing the windows. Your secondary application is a good idea, but the FIRST pre-window waterproofing is critical.

    Hmmm, maybe you should also include in that tiny home community, a workshop of "how to build your own tiny home" So users can maybe do their own community in their home town. Just a thought

    You can run your whole tiny home on that jackery and not have to run wiring for electricity. I have a Bluetti AC200 with the same capability as your jackery,,except I have a B300 connected to my Bluetti for over 5k watt hours of storage. I hope I can find land to build a tiny home on one day. My set up is inside a 5x8 cargo trailer which is fine for me. Can’t wsit to see your community I may like to visit it when I retire next year

      You don't know that for a fact as "new-generation" OSB panels, use isocyanate resins that do NOT contain formaldehyde and are considered nonvolatile when cured. So again, you don't know that for a fact.
