When I first saw these, I thought "Yea, lets pile some kindling on top of the stove and see what happens". Now every one seems to be making them. LOL..... Good tip about the heat gun on the stickers.
Create a 90 degree fence with two pieces of material. Cut two pieces for the auxiliary fence that will slide from the center out. Put two holes in the sliding fence and matching slots in the fixed portion. To provide stability put a long thin support fixed to the fence above the auxiliary sliding fence. You can put a t track in this area if you wish.
Thanks for your videos Paw Paw. I always learn something when I watch them. I went to Comgrow's looking for the air assist present in your video but couldn't find the same one that's in your video. Where did you get yours from?
That usually occurs when you are engraving material that has different density. Hard and soft wood engraves differently. Bamboo is an example. You will most likely just need to engrave darker. If your project board is not completely flat will cause the same thing
to get those labels off real easy soak them in lighter fluid. they will peel right off. if they act wild...put some fluid under it as your pulling it off also but you usually don't need too.
Really you call yourself a woodworker you bought premade boards that were already put together. You should be ashamed of yourself. You just a assembler 😢😢
Really, I would say that this is the first time to my channel and I welcome you. My channel is all about getting people involved in woodworking. Many of my subscribers are new to woodworking and have limited tools. I like to show people how to be successful with limited experience and tools. Other projects are much more complicated. I also like to show multiple ways to to make for example, cabinets, drawers, and many other projects. Again, welcome to my channel
I apologize. I put a lot of working to buy things I use reclaim wood I cleaned it up playing it down squared-off. Is there a see people find ready-made wood and everything through it together or try to get $69 for it I understand.. I put a lot more work in mine don't think I could double my price. I put my wood together with biscuits.
It is a nice project however I do have concerns over placing wood over top of a burner wether it be electric or gas! I am just not comfortable with that concept!
I agree with that. I personally would never do it. I’m not sure why this is so popular. This was a gift that the person specifically wanted. You’ll never see one in my house
Yeah, a neighbor has asked me to make one. I probably will, but I know from time to time I forget to turn a burner completely off and that would be potentially disastrous with a cover placed upon it. Obviously the reason for these covers is to create additional countertop space during the serving part of a meal. Maybe it’s something that should be used occasionally on an “as needed” basis such as a party or large gathering? Otherwise I don’t really get it.
*Always learn something new Paw Paw!* So happy to see someone else using sanding sealer! The only way to get pro results!
Thank you very much. Yes, the pre stain is very important.
Love this idea, great Christmas presents for family members. Thanks for sharing this....
You’re most welcome. Thank you for watching. Yes, this makes for a perfect gift

Thank you very much. Yes, a lot of people want these covers for the stove.
This is a great idea. Beautiful project. My only question is where do you store this while you are using the stove?
Good question, I do not know. Thanks for watching
How did you make your miter saw stop rig?

Oh wow that’s great!!!!
Glad you like it
Fantastic ! What power/speed did you run to engrave this pine panel?
I used 762 mm/min and 60% power
Nice job.
Thank you. I appreciate you watching the video
very nice and i love the gun stain color. can you share the settings/parameters you did for the laser? how many passes did it have to do?
Thanks for your videos Paw Paw. I always learn something when I watch them. I went to Comgrow's looking for the air assist present in your video but couldn't find the same one that's in your video. Where did you get yours from?
The Comgrow air purifier is used to exhaust the smoke. The air assist is from xTool. I have a link in the description to xTool
What tool/brand do you use for drilling the holes for handles?
It the True Position Tools cabinet hardware jig. The website is truepositiontools.com
Good evening
We started making these covers, but every time we stain them they warp. Any advice?
You must stain both sides. Also your wood may have a high moisture content
How do you fix the areas of engraving that are not as dark as the rest, I come across this at times? Thanks

@@PawPawsWorkShop thanks
I'm trying to find the edge glue boards but I can't find the size you have, where did you buy it? Thanks
I picked these up from Lowe’s

Where did you get the panel?? Online? Local Store? what Store name?
These panels are from the big box stores. Lowes is where I got these
@@PawPawsWorkShop Thanks Paw Paw...... Love and Learn alot from what you make. Keep it up.
It looks like your engrave is black. I did one today with the same dye and my engrave is grey looking. How do I get it black
Slow down you feed rate and increase the power. The black comes from the burn. It’s actually the ash remaining
Great job, just not for me, looks like a major pain if you want to use your stove, now I need to put the large board somewhere 😂
Got a point. But….. you do get a fancy magazine look when not using it.
@@lunnymav mines always got a pot on it 😃
Just eat out all the time. You never have to move the cover. Kitchen stays clean. Wife is happy. Life is good
