I just bought myself a xdm elite this week and I just shot it yesterday. It is a smooth firing gun. The only complaint that I have is the rear sight does not have any color on it. It is just black. That means that I have to go out and buy some kind of night sights. This is my first springfield firearm. It certainly will not be my last.
Crazy these XDM's are discontinued but that just means they are going to be worth so much more in the future! I love how Springfield comes with quality parts unlike its main competitor Glock. The Glocks are so cheap feeling and its an easy choice for me!
@SpringfieldArmory - I’m having a hard time at changing/removing the back strap and magwell on my XDM Elite. There doesn’t seem to be any walk through videos at least that I can find. Was hoping maybe you guys could do a video tutorial for dummies like myself?
Just got my XDM Elite 10 mm in the 3.8 inch last week. Man is it sweet! Highly recommend the 15 round mag to get full grip. It's awesome! This will be my bear defense while bowhunting/fishing.

I got my first Springfield xdm Elite 9mm 4.5 but unfortunately haven’t been able to shot yet due to just getting carpal tunnel surgery a week ago 😢, but plan on it ASAP!! I had 2 of these on a table at -20 to 20F on different occasions with a high point and a glock the 2 xdm elite 10mm wouldnt fire the triggers would not release the fireing pin. Same thing happened to a friend of mine. The hi point and the glock both worked fine.

Use am wooden shish kabob skewer and a patch to clean in the grooves. Great for getting in small places..
i clean mine even after just 100 rounds. alot of dirt, carbon collects inside the frame and barrel. i used CLP.

How does one shorten the exaggerated trigger reset? I have the 4.5" XDM Elite 9mm.

Nobody told me not to use stainless steal brush, it was recommended for me.
Yeah. It's in the manual as well. Nylon and brass brushes work... Stainless steel may affect the barreling.
