Got the same one sitting on my shelf to go on as soon as my 62mm throttle body comes in from hpi. Feuling doesn’t recommend using the breather system if you already have another breather venting system.
very well done video!!, quick question, I am going to install this breather on my bike tomorrow, I understand using the "loctite 263 threadlocker" on the breather bolts, it seems that you only used the threadlocker, on what bolts do you use the "thread sealant 545?", I may have missed it, but I didn't see you any sealant just the threadlocker, I just want to make sure that I do it correctly, thank you in advance, ride safe man
@@michaelthompson7001 appreciate the support. I didn’t use any of the thread sealant. I never have on my breathers. Just did the standard thread lock on the necessary bolts
@@Gimps_Garagethank for your response , I also have the Trask tranny cover, since it’s been about a month since your install, are you having any oil mist in your air cleaner, as I do not necessarily want to install the head breather kit either, trying to keep my vacuum, thank for your help
@@michaelthompson7001 a very small amount. But that’s only if I’m really hammering down on my bike or go up the canyons and gain 2-3,000 feet in elevation. But it isn’t enough to where I’ve needed to take the filter off and clean it. Just a small amount that hits the glass.
Very nice! Im looking forward to when Feuling pushes parts for the new 24s. After serious thoughts, it was a better way to get a new bike vice fix/build my 2019 RG. That and i fell in love with the Whiskey 🥃 🔥
Man I just like not having a payment and I tried to like the look of the new fairing and chopped bag look. I just can’t like it. I wanted to. I hear they ride amazing tho
@Gimps_Garage the look finally grew on me. Big thing was the $ associated with my cam work, new headlight, audio with soundstream head unit. Traded 2 bikes and payment was lower than the one we were still paying on. Im very curious on how this redesign of the 117 would do with a stg1/stg2 117 ST or even CVO. Thing that made me super happy was the new throttle body and metal manifold, ontop.of the twin cooled heads.
Awesome bike ,,great channel !!! I am looking to have my 22 SG CVO worked with a CR 480 MT or a Star racing 3030 , SE chest kit , and bassani headers, I need to find a suitable manifold and throttle body I didn't catch it here but are you still running the HPI 58 mm manifold and TB, if so would you recommend it for my build. I was going to go with the SE manifold and TB. I am having my dealer do everything . thanks
@@michaelpowers4452 first off, appreciate the kind words and support. To answer your question, yes. Absolutely the 58mm would be efficient. So would the 62mm from HPi. Both are the same price. I would personally go with the 62mm. But the 58mm works very well. I would recommend the star 30/30. Bryce / star racing has been making cams and other components for many years. The 30/30 is a great all around cam that produces early torque and is consistent across the whole rpm range up to 5,500
@@Gimps_Garage nice .,, I will go with the star 3030 as it was my first choice , watching Georges vids is the reason I am doing this, I went and bought the feuling AC and have the red filter like you wanted , then started thinking I should do better than the SE manifold . The HPI is polished though, at least ..
Great question. Not if you already had an aftermarket breather and exhaust / headpipe installed and tuned. But I also have a thundermax tuner. So even if hypothetically I didn’t do an initial tune when I went to stage 1 or 2, the thundermax would auto tune the AFR differences from the bigger breather. If that makes sense ?
@@MrHavoc5252 I wish I was sponsored by feuling lol. Would’ve saved me a lot of money. Including the $550 I spent on this cleaner lol. I can only attest to what I’ve personally used. I like the look of it better and everything I’ve seen and read about it, they perform very well. Haven’t rode yet. I did the install today and then spent time editing the video and uploading it. I’ll put a couple hundred miles on tomorrow. I’m expecting it’ll work great
Wondering..would it fit a 64mm intake ect..and what size intake is yours..the HPI one you have, do they have different sizes for different intake..ect?
It will fit. That’s why they are setup the way they are. But I would just double check on their website. Can never be too safe with these things. Mine is a 58mm TB.
good afternoon, hope all is well, I wanted to follow up on your Feuling BA air cleaner install, I installed mine and I occasionally have a little oil on my velocity stack even though I have the Trask Checkm8 tranny cover installed, I was wondering if you were still having any additional blow by? I was thinking about installing external breathers with a catch can, but the Feuilng website says that if you have a vented tranny cover or vented dip stick, that installing the external breather setup causes more "misting", not sure if I should be concerned or not, hate for the oil to back into my throttle body though, cannot be a good thing, did you install the Trask cover and if so, are you having any blow by? any thoughts on a solution? thanks again!!
@michaelthompson7001 good question. I have the trask vented transmission cover and I would still get a tiny bit of oil. But it was very very minimal in comparison to what I was getting before installing the vented trans cover. A tiny bit on the velocity stack won’t make a huge difference. It’s when you’re getting enough oil that’s noticeable and dripping out of the breather that would be a cause for concern. But a little bit is inevitable with the M8.
@@michaelthompson7001 I think the trask trans cover will work better overall than doing external breathers into a catch can. Also, what year is your bike? If you’re running a pre 2020 m8, and it has the older oil pump in it, the trask cover will cause it to sump more than normal.
