I’m so grateful for your videos, Patrick! I’m headed to Barcelona Sept 9-19 to take in places I’ve been before more deeply and slowly, do some art and drawing, and just feel part of this gorgeous city…your videos couldn’t have been more helpful! Besos!
@@PatrickGuideBarcelona My plan is to go with my whims! :) I picked up doing art during covid, so I've never been to Barcelona while also being an artist...so I'm going to land, rest up, and then see where my feet take me. Some plans include 1) checking out various Festa Major Poblenou activities, thanks to you and this video, 2) spending most of my time in and around Gaudi's buildings, 3) hanging out at Montjuic and Parque de la Ciutadella with a sketchbook, The Ghosts of Spain, and The Shadow of the Wind (books also thanks to you!), 4) taking myself on a day trip to Montserrat when I feel like it, and 5) I've got one day scheduled with a formal tour to go see Dali stuff (his theater-museum, adulthood home, etc.) -- I'm pumped! If you feel like meandering/being whimsical with a fellow North American who speaks Spanish (I'm sorry Catalonia -- I don't yet know Catalan!) -- feel free to drop a line! (Facebook: Crystal Hamling) No expectation as I'm sure many of your subscribers say that and would like that, but if you want to meet a friendly, nice one who just kinda wants to "be" in Barna, lmk! Since I don't expect that, though, let me just say one more time: thank you, thank you for all your helpful and delightful videos!!
Hello Patrick, I watched your August video and this one. I am planning on doing 3 days in Madid and 3 days in Barcelona. Does September have more rain (on average) than August? Would you go in August or September? I see the weather drops a little so I was thinking September may be better. I also see the prices are a little cheaper. My goa is to to see the historical sites, experience the culture, museums, etc. Not worried about the beach (swimming) but festivals and other cultural events are nice. Thanks for your time.
I would recommend picking the best dates for you and what festivals you want to see in that case. You’re not gonna have to worry too much about rain in either month.
Hi Patrick! Going to Barcelona this 20th of Sept. I think Sagrada Familia Application has a Problem. I keep on booking thru their app but when i am on the last step (payment) is gives me error. Can you suggest another way to book a ticket to Sagrada? Or a tour group so i get inside the Cathedral? Thanks!
I have already bought tickets for the 11th September for Sagrada Familia and casa Mila .Do you think it will be crowded in those areas of the city because of Catalunya Day? I didn’t know that will be festivals during this week..Also it is indicated to avoid Gothic Quarter,La ramblas on the 9-10 weekend because it will be too crowded? I originally planned to walk in those areas on those days but I don’t know what to do now…. Can you tell me what areas will be way too crowded because I want to have the space ,time to visit them since it s my first time in Barcelona
Your reservations will be fine! No worries. You can see in the map the areas that will be crowded in the afternoon. The morning is usually in the Born and Gothic Quarter
Hola Patrick!Nice and priceless video 💫Iwill visit Barcelona on 25-29/09 and I want to ask you if on Monday 25th of September is it a public holiday on Barcelona...🤔
@PatrickGuideBarcelona I wish you posted this a couple months ago when I was choosing dates to visit! will try to make it next time. thanks for sharing!
I always try an post the month videos a month before. If it’s too early it’s really hard to have the info. You always have the previous years video to base things off!

Great info!! We are going Sept 27! Is it true you have to cover your legs in the cathedrals? I understand the shoulders but the legs too?
I think they were more strict about it before. Not as much anymore
Love Barcelona! Great video :)
